《You're Bittersweet (on hold)》Chapter 1

I woke up to the sound of my alarm blasting through my room and I immediately slapped the snooze button on my clock. "fiiiveee more minutesss!" I knew I couldn't sleep for a few more minutes or else that'd put me behind for my morning routine for school.
I got up to begin getting ready for my first day at this new high school. I still can't believe my family had to move all the way to Oregon from California because of some job opportunity my mom got.
Ever since my dad passed away it's just been my mom, two brothers and I. It was hard at first but we were able to get back up again and manage to live without the amount of money my dad was making at his job.
I totally forgot to introduce myself!
My names Isabel.
I'm 16 and today's my first day of Sophomore year.
I ran down the stairs and bumped into one of my younger brothers, Joseph.
"Dude! Watch where you're going!" I looked at him annoyed. He looked at me apologetically. "S-sorry Isa"
And he ran up the stairs.
He was entering freshman year and so was my other brother, David since they're twins. I'm really hoping they won't do anything stupid to embarrass themselves or me, But especially me! I don't want to look stupid at this new school on my first day.
I grabbed my backpack and slipped on my shoes and walked out the door. I grabbed my skateboard and was on my way. It didn't take long till I heard the wheels of another two skateboards behind me. I looked back and saw Joseph and David. "Isa! Wait!" They were out of breath. David went passed me and chucked a bag at me which caused me to stumble off of my skateboard. "Oww Jesus, David learn how to hand things to people!" he laughed and kept riding his board while Joseph stopped to make sure I was okay. I assured him I was fine.I grabbed my lunch bag and continued my ride to school.

I arrived before class started which gave me a head start to explore a little bit. I walked around the halls and found a poster on the wall showing the directions to the cafeteria where sophomores would be getting their schedules. I picked up my schedule and read my first period as "math?" I said out loud "ugh c'mon!"
A girl stopped in front of me and smiled. "Don't worry I got math too." I smiled back. She gasped "oh I'm sorry I didn't introduce myself. I'm Kasandra!" She held out her hand. I shook her hand. "I'm Isabel!" We walked to class together since she knew her way around here better than I did. I guess things are getting off to an okay start for a new school.
