Jo smiles warmly at Michael when he slips into the studio she's in. He sits on the couch, listening to his best friend sing a song he wrote with him and Ernest.
Jo's busy fiddling with the controls and switches on the board with her mind completely focused on her job for the first time since she was hired on.
"That sounds real good, Morgan." She says, writing something down. "I'll have it ready to go next week."
Morgan hangs up the headphones then joins the two in the studio lounge. "How've you been, Jo?" He asks, cracking a seal on a water bottle.
"I've been great, real good." She smiles again.
"That's good." Michael smiles back.
Jo's phone rings. "Hello?" Her pretty smile grows. "Hi Ri."
She's been without Sean for a couple months and she's been a totally different person. She's back to her usual hell raising self and the guys are somewhat surprised by her real personality.
"Oh, that's-that's great!" She says, clearing her throat. "When do you leave? Two weeks, okay. No! No, no, no, please go on tour. I'll be fine." She says quickly. "Yeah, no, we can talk when you come over... okay. Bye."
She sighs quietly as she sits back down in her chair. "Y'all've been on tour, right?" They both nod. "Is it hard bein' on the road? Away from girlfriends?"
"Yeah." Michael says. "But Caleigh comes to shows from time to time."
"Yeah, same with my girlfriend." Morgan says, leaning back on the couch. "It's rough but we manage."
Jo runs a hand through her hair.
"Here. Lemme give you Caleigh's number. I imagine she can help you out more than I can."
Jo nods and hands him her phone. He types in her number then hands it back. "Hey, y'all'll be fine. Riley's a good guy."
Jo nods but that whole blowjob situation that happened two years ago is still in her mind.

Riley and Jo spend every waking minutes together for the next two weeks. They figured being apart would be easier if they get sick of each other.

Currently, Jo and Riley are in bed, nude, while eating pulled pork sandwiches and watching M*A*S*H.
"Killer sandwiches, Ri." Jo says, licking her fingers. "Wow."
Riley smiles, crossing his legs under the sheets. "Thanks."
"How long is tour?"
"I'm not sure. I think three months?" He shrugs. "I'll email Conner in the morning, get the rest of the details."
Jo sighs quietly. "I'm gonna miss you."
"I know baby. C'mere." He puts their plates on the nightstand and pulls her into his lap. "I'm gonna miss you too."
Jo clears her throat and moves her focus on her fingers running over the chain around his neck. "I'm gonna miss you bein' a little shit." She mumbles making Riley laugh.
"I wish I could take you with me but there just ain't enough room."
"And you'd get annoyed with me real quick." She sighs as she lays back, the sheets bunched up at her hips. "Come here." Her slender fingers hook in the chain around his neck to pull him down to her, kissing him in such a sexy way that his breath is taken away.
Jo pulls him on top of her, her hands trailing down his toned back to his hips, her lips still against his.
"Three months." She breathes. "It's gonna be hard to be apart for three months- without your dick for three months."
He blushes slightly and laughs shyly. "I'll send you a dick pic every now and again but-"
"But what?"
"You gotta send titty pics back."
Jo laughs outright, her fingertips grazing his stubbly cheeks. "Promise?" He asks, watching her smile turn ornery.
"I promise..." She says, that smirk still on her face. Riley gives her a look that has his body heating up. "...Daddy."
Riley blushes . No one has ever called him that before but he might be into it.
Jo giggles at his reaction and starts to wriggle her way out from under him but he stops her. He grabs her arm and practically throws her back onto the bed, making her squeal and giggle again but her laughs are short lived when she sees the look on his face as he pins her arms above her head.

"I- I-"
Riley smirks at her, one hand sliding down her arm from her wrists to her throat, resting there almost too innocently.
Jo giggles quietly, licking her lips as she looks up at him. "What're you gonna do, daddy?"
"D- Don't call me that." He says weakly.
It's obvious that he's trying to figure out if he likes it or not but his body gives his answer away.
Jo slides her hands out of his grasp to push him on his back. She straddles him, her hands pressing against his chest. She leans down, her hair tickling his sweaty skin. "Three months is a long time to be apart." She whispers against his ear, tracing the curve with the tip of her tongue.
Riley bites his lip as his eyes flutter closed. "Babe..."
"Shh." She presses the pads of her fingers against his lips.
"You- I-"
"Shh." She repeats, riffling through the discarded condom wrappers from their previous rounds mixed with whatever Riley keeps on his nightstand for an unopened condom.
Jo smirks at the deep, hoarse moan that rips from his throat when he's buried deep inside her for the whatever-th time that day- that week.

"I love you." Riley says, resting his forehead against Jo's.
"I love you, too." She responds. "Three months."
"Twelve weeks."
"Ninety days." She smiles. "Go kick ass, Riley Green, take names."
Riley kisses her deeply one more time before he adjusts the strap on his shoulder then sighs.
"This is the last call for flight 2577 to Detroit."
Jo blinks back tears when she sees Riley's sad smile. "It's just a couple months." He whispers, running his fingers through her waves. "I gotta go."
"Text me when you land, okay?"
"I will." He promises then presses a hasty kiss to her forehead. "Bye."
She gives him a sad wave when he looks at her one more time before he disappears down the runway. "Bye."
Jo stays and watches his plane take off. She's incredibly sad that she's alone but it's three months.
She can handle it.

While Riley is on the road, Jo has been getting closer and closer to her guy friend's girlfriends. Caleigh and Dani, Michael and Morgan's girlfriends, have been keeping Jo company.
Currently, the girls are hanging out at Jo's house, playing card games and drinking wine like the sophisticated ladies they are.
"How's it goin' with Michael?" Jo asks, organizing her cards.
"He's got a gig booked down at the Lyric in Oxford next week." Caleigh responds, laying down two cards. "Two fours."
"Bullshit." Dani says, turning the cards over, revealing a four and a nine. Caleigh picks up the pile and adds it to her hand.
"How's it going without Riley?" Caleigh asks, taking a sip of the red wine she brought.
"At first it was hard but I think I'm kinda adjustin' to it." Jo shrugs. "Dani, you've been with Morgan for years. How do you do it?"
Dani licks her lips as she looks up from her hand. "Copious amounts of alcohol and a never ending rerun of That 70s Show." She responds, lifting her wine glass to her then taking a drink. "FaceTime, phone calls, texts, all that jazz."
"Do you ever get used to it?"
"It always sucks but you get into a routine that kinda helps." Dani says.
"Oh yeah, for sure." Caleigh nods. "I'll go home to California for a week or something."
"One seven." Jo says, tossing a card down.
"But, the bright side is, Jo, that you got two best friends here with you." Caleigh says.
"And we're nearby so if you need anything, let us know." Dani says sincerely.
"Thanks." Jo smiles.
"Four eights." Caleigh drops her cards on the pile.
"Bullshit?" Jo questions, looking between Dani, the pile, and Caleigh.
"Nope!" Caleigh cackles, turning her cards over.
"Shit." Jo laughs, swiping the pile.
