It's around eleven o'clock at night when Daniella feels something weird. She brushes it off as a gas bubble while she sits in bed, Morgan's head on her shoulder. That pang comes again except more painful. "Ouch." She whispers, her hand going to her belly.

He lifts his head sleepily. "You okay?"

"Yeah." She nods, stretching her legs out. "I'm fine." A few minutes later, it comes again but stronger. "Okay, I think we should get to the hospital." She says calmly as to not freak Morgan out, it doesn't work.

"Wh- are you- now?" He jumps up and pulls a pair of shorts on with a hoodie, stepping into his sneakers as he puts a ball cap on his head. He rushes to her side of the bed to help her get dressed in sweats and her slippers with a jacket. He grabs the duffle bag from closet. "Ready?"

"No." She whimpers, shaking her head. "I can't." She shakes her head again as she looks down. "I'm not going. I'm scared, I don't want to."

"Hey." He whispers, crouching next to her. "Hey, if anyone can do this, it's you. I'm scared too." He takes her hand. "We're gonna have a baby, let's have it at the hospital." She whimpers again, nodding. "C'mon." He takes her down to his truck, tossing the duffle into the bed before starting it up, driving down to the hospital.

"Hey Hardy." Morgan says into his phone as he paces in the hall, holding a cup of ice. He might've passed out for a second.

"Dude, it's two in the morning. Everything okay?"

"Yeah, yeah everything's fine. Hey listen, Dani is having the baby."

"What!?" He shoots up in bed, tapping Caleigh on the back. "She's having- the baby's coming now. We're on our way. Where're y'all at?"

"The one off Dover, Davidson County." He breathes out, his hands shaking as he hangs up, returning to the room Dani's in.

Hardy and Caleigh rush to the waiting room. Morgan makes his way there, lowkey panicking. "Hey y'all." He smiles at his friends.

"How's it goin? How's she doin?" Michael asks, handing Morgan a cup of coffee.

"She's got a long way to go." He sighs, running his hand through his hair. "I should be with her."

"I'll go see her." Caleigh says, squeezing his shoulder. She heads down the hallway to her room and knocks on the door quietly. "Dani?"

"Fuck. What!?" She snaps.

"Hey, how are you? Do you need anything?" Caleigh asks, standing next to her, brushing some of her sweaty hair out of her flushed face.

"Where's Morgan?"

"He's with Michael, right now." Dani exhales sharply. "Do you need me to get him?"

"Pfft. I can do this myself. Daddy ain't raise no bitch." She forces out as she lays back against the shitty hospital pillow. "What time is it?"

"Quarter til four."

"In the morning!?" Caleigh uses a nearby towel to wipe her face off. "Shit. It feels like I've been doing this for fucking days."

The door opens, Morgan and her OB enter the room. "Excuse me." Caleigh leaves, shutting the door behind her.

"I gotta be close, Doc, I've been here for fuckin hours."

"Not even close, baby." She sighs, taking her glove off. "I'll be back in an hour."

"This is fucking ridiculous." She huffs, glaring at Morgan. "This is your goddamn fault, Wallen."

"I'm sorry, darlin'." He whispers, fixing her hair into a messy bun for her. "You're doing so great."

"Fuck off." She groans. Morgan leans over and gives her sweaty forehead a kiss, rubbing her back.

Fourteen hours later, Baby Wallen is born, 6lbs 3oz, 17 inches. Morgan is overwhelmed with joy, tears sliding down his face as he holds his offspring, a huge smile across his face. "Holy shit." He laughs. Dani can't hold her own tears back as she watches her husband turn into a father right in front of her eyes. "Hi baby." He whispers.

"Do you have a name yet?" Caleigh asks.

"Johnathan Thomas." Dani responds, wiping her eyes. "After our fathers."

"Baby boy." Hardy smiles. "Congrats y'all." He gives Dani a kiss on the forehead and a pat on Morgan's back before sitting next to them. "How're you feeling, Dani?"

"Hm? Oh I'm fine." She nods. "Tired."

"Then we should get going, let y'all sleep." Hardy nods to Caleigh. Dani smiles tiredly as they press kisses to her forehead before leaving.

"You still feeling Johnathan?" She whispers, Morgan nods. "Good." Her hand goes to the cross around her neck, the one her father gave her all those years ago. "Johnathan." She hums, laying back against the bed as she yawns.

"You should get some rest, darlin'." He says as he lays the baby in the small bassinet. "The nurse said she'll take him to the nursery to get some rest."

"Fine." She yawns again, her eyes fluttering. "You're staying with me right?"

He looks offended. "Of course I am." He slides next to her, letting her drop her head against his chest. "Get some sleep, darlin."

Several months later, Morgan is packing for his first tour with Hardy, both boys are super excited. It took so much convincing for Morgan to go, to be away from his newborn and wife for months but after some pretty persuasive sex, they've decides he's going. He sighs heavily as he finishes packing up some clothes in a big plastic tub. "Are you sure-"

"Hundred percent." Dani cuts him off with a smile. "If anything happens, Caleigh's next door." She reassured him, bouncing their child in her arms. "We'll be fine, baby."

Their front door opens. "Wallen, let's go!" Hardy shouts from the front door. "Bus is waitin'!"

"Fuck off, Hardy." He looks back at his wife and son. "Are you sure you want me to go?"

"Morgan, we'll be fine." She say as she lays Johnny down. "I promise." She slides her hand across his chest before leaning up to kiss him. "When you get back, I'll welcome you home in the right way." He chuckles, kissing her again. "Be careful out there. Don't get arrested!" He rolls his eyes at her as he lifts the tub. "I love you, baby."

"I love you too." He hands Hardy the tub before wrapping his arms around his wife. "Couple of months." She nods. "I'll be home soon." She kisses him again, brushing her thumb over his lips.

"Take care of him, Michael."

"Always do, ma'am." He responds, "C'mon, Wallen. See you, baby." He winks at her, putting his arm around her husband.

"Bye." She watches them drive off, closing the door behind her before heading to the kitchen to get something stronger than water.

It's five in the morning when her phone goes off. Dani groans, hoping it's just a dream but it keeps going. "Hello?" She whines.

"Just checkin' in, how're things there?" Morgan says quietly.

"Baby boy John Tom is asleep and so was his mother." She grumbles as she flicks the bedside lamp on, blushing at the small laugh on the other end. "How's my husband doin?"

"Good. Everyone is asleep but me, I couldn't stop thinkin' about my family. I just want to be home with you guys."

"Couple of months left, right?"

"You know it, baby." He responds, exhaling heavily. "I don't know how you lived with Hardy for so long, he's a slob."

"Fuck off, Wallen." Michael responds, half asleep.

Dani chuckles as she shakes her head. "I asked myself that every day." She gets out of bed and heads to the kitchen to fix herself some tea. "What time is it there?"

"Two I think." He yawns, the bunk he's laying on squeaking as he adjusts his position. "I can't sleep."

"I know, baby." She responds, sitting alone at the big kitchen table. "Try to get some sleep for me." He rolls his eyes as he pulls his Tennessee Titans blanket up to his shoulders. "Please."

"Okay, darlin. I love you."

"And I love you. Give Hardy some love for me too, please." Morgan agrees before the two say goodbye and hang up.

Touring is going to be a lot harder than they thought

+++

Morgan takes a deep breath as he steps onto the stage in Knoxville, pacing around during soundcheck. It's their first anniversary and he's missing it because he's touring. He kicks his boot against a scuff on the stage as he fiddles with a microphone. "Say something, Wallen." The sound guy shouts from the opposite end of the venue. Morgan blows against it, clicking his tongue. "Sounds great. Wanna warm up with a song?"

"Sure." He sighs, popping the mic into the stand as he slings his guitar strap over his shoulder. He taps his foot as he leans into the track, tears forming in his chest as he sings Silverado For Sale, the song he wrote way back when he first got the idea to propose to Dani, putting it on hold when things ended but finished when they got back together again. Hardy sways on the feet in the wings, he can't help the smile on his face. He has a huge surprise for his best friend for tonight and he cannot wait.

"Alrighty, show starts in like an hour so we gotta get ready." Michael joins him on the stage. "You alright?" He notices Morgan's teary eyes.

"I'm fine." He exhales, brushing his hair out of his face. "Just missing my girl and son." Hardy wraps his arm around his shoulders as they walk out to their cramped tour bus to get dressed and hyped for the show. Morgan sits on the couch in the front lounge with a beer in his hand. "You alright?" He shoots back.

"I'm fantastic, baby." He winks, knowing it'll help cheer him up. "Caleigh sends her love and told me to tell you good luck." Hardy reads a text off his phone screen.

"Wonder what Dani's up to." Morgan frowns at his quiet phone. "She usually calls me before the show." He brushes it off as he stands, grabbing a pair of ripped up jeans and a cut off flannel. "Pour me a shot, will ya?" He shouts from the tiny bathroom. He returns to the kitchen area and throws back the drink, cringing at the harshness before pouring another.

After a couple more shots, Morgan feels great, buzzed not drunk. "Let's go!" He shouts, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he waits for Michael. "Hardy!"

"C'mon man!" The two head to the stage, shaking their arms and legs, smacking and stretching their necks to hype themselves up more as the lights go down. Hardy's set is first and he absolutely kills it. The crowd screams his songs back and he's loving it.

There's a brief intermission as the crew switch instruments and such between the sets. Hardy takes this time to go to the side door to let Dani and her son in, handing a pair of headphones to her for Johnny. She slips it on his small head before following her best friend to the side stage, just in time for Morgan to go on. She stands off to the side, dancing with her young son and best friend as they watch Morgan perform, knowing he's gonna feel so much better when he sees them.

And he does.

He loses his place in the song he's performing when he sees his family watching him, mostly because he thinks he's just imagining them but he grins when she waves their sons hand at him. He laughs to himself as he fixes his in-ears, shaking his head. "This next one is a new one that we haven't released yet but my buddy, Hardy, and I wrote this for my wife. Today's our anniversary." He waves his hand for her to join him on the stage. She shakes her head but rolls her eyes when Michael nudges her to go out there. She was not expecting the cheers that follow as she leans over and kisses him. "I love you." He says into her ear before presses his lips to his sons head. She waves to everyone, exiting the stage to stand next to Hardy. "This is More Surprised than Me."

Dani can't help the tears in her eyes as she watches her husband preform, her heart full of love for him. She looks at Hardy, who made all this happen. He got her a backstage pass knowing he'd be gone for their anniversary. It's a coincidence that they're in Knoxville tomorrow night too so they have a hotel booked for the time being and Hardy already agreed to watch his godson, knowing the married couple will be needing alone time.

And sure enough, after the concert and their time meeting fans, Morgan has his hand tight around Dani's as he races up to their hotel room, laughing quietly together. They haven't felt this mischievous and horny since high school. Morgan has his wife's back pressed up against the door, already tugging and pulling on her clothes, needing her now. She smirks as she pushes him back towards the bed, straddling his hips while undoing the buttons on his sleeveless flannel, their lips never separating.

Soon, the two are panting as the lay side by side while she messes with his fingers. Morgan laughs as he looks over at her, overcome with happiness because he's here with his wife on their wedding anniversary when he thought he was missing it. "Your set was beautiful." She whispers to him, her hands flat against his chest. "Half the songs you played I've never heard before."

"Hardy and I've been working on them for a while, I think since y'all were living in Knoxville. And our buddy Ernest helped us out too." She lets out a short laugh. "What?"

"Is, uh, Ernest a, uh, bigger blonde guy with a mullet?" He nods. "That man flirted with me like a month before you and I got back together."

He chuckles. "Hardy told me 'bout that." She leans down and kisses him softly. "How are you here? The show was sold out and-"

"I wasn't gonna let us spend our first anniversary apart, darlin. I mean if y'all were in, I dunno, Washington I'd still find a way to be with you." That chokes him up. He clears his throat while he leans against the headboard, pulling his wife to sit on his lap. She gives him a soft smile, running her hands through his sweaty hair, playing with the waves. "I love you, hun."

"I love you too, darlin." He whispers back, wrapping his arms around her tightly. They end up dozing off like that but they're totally fine with that because they're together.
