"Hey, we gotta get the ball rollin' on this wedding." Dani says to Morgan a few weeks later. "We've been engaged for almost a year and have done no planning."

"The church, my dad can marry us." He says back, his eyes never leaving the tv as the Vols play Vanderbilt. "Done and done." He snaps his fingers. "The girls can make the food for us, it can be like a potluck type deal."

"That's not a bad idea. You get to ask 'em though. Reception?"

"Here or my folks house. Outside so there's more room. Everyone can bring a table and chairs, y'know, like a furniture potluck." She rolls her eyes. "Corn hole and horseshoes."

"Is this a wedding reception or a barbecue?"

"I'm just sayin'." He says, putting his hands up in defense. "It'll be a good time."

"Music?"

"Speaker and a playlist, free and easy." He winks, looking over his shoulder at her in the kitchen. "Hit me again."

She chuckles. "My dress and your suit."

"Family heirlooms?"

"Oof so close." She clicks her tongue. "I ain't wearing my mother's dress, she's had nothin' but bad luck."

"Fine, you can go shoppin' with my momma and sisters when me and my pops go tux shoppin'."

"No denim suits!" She shouts as she heads upstairs, laughing when Morgan groans. "I swear to God, I will fight you if you come home with a denim suit."

"Ugh, fine!" He says, kicking his feet up on the coffee table. "What else do you need an answer to?"

"We still need to get rings and a photographer..." she trails off. "We need a date. How did I miss that?"

"September eighth!"

"No, you can't just pull a date outta your ass. Plus that's when my folks got married." She walks in front of the game to get to the bookshelf, grabbing a farmers almanac.

"We have one of those?"

"Shh!" She says, squinting at the small font. "August 12th? Coolest day of the month, says clear skies and it's a full moon, spooky." She wiggles her eyebrows at him, making him giggle. "How's that sound? Nice day for an outdoor reception."

"Perfect. Open bar?"

"Coolers and Kegs?"

"Hell yeah, baby." He pats the spot next to him. She sits and leans against him as he drapes his arm around her. "I'll talk to my folks, see what they can do."

"We need a wedding party."

"Outside, corn hole, horseshoes-"

"No no, like bridesmaids and groomsmen- I guess we really don't need them. It can just be the two of us."

"That works."

"I'll call your momma and sisters and see if they wanna go dress shoppin' with me soon." He presses a kiss to the side of her head.

Morgan turns the game off then turns the radio on, standing to pulls her up with him. "Dance with me." She smiles and they dance to whatever country song is on the radio.

Lesli has Dani in a big dress, the skirt is so big that she can barely get out of the dressing room. "I'm gonna have to pass, momma." She says, freezing when that word slips out of her mouth. "I'm sorry." She whispers.

"Oh baby." She stands and gives her a hug. "I always thought of you as a daughter already."

"Thanks." She smiles, turning to look in the mirror. "I'm gonna pass on this." Morgan's sisters were both busy and Dani needed to get a dress as soon as possible with the wedding in three months. "Not my style."

She takes the dress off and steps into a simple spaghetti strap dress, it forms to her figure and has a plunging neckline with an open back, showing off her two tattoos, the most important people in her life are there with her. "This one is it." She nods. "This is it."

"If it needs altering, I'll do that for ya." Lesli says, pinching some fabric around her hips, chest and waist. "Get it done in a couple of weeks."

"That would be amazing." She sighs heavily before going to change into her jeans and tank top. "Ready to go?"

"Let me take ya out to lunch, baby." She says after Dani pays for her dress. "My treat."

"Fine." She gives in, knowing Lesli wouldn't give up that easily.

Morgan is standing in front of the mirror in a denim tux. He giggles to himself as he snaps a picture and sends it to Dani knowing it'll work her up. Within ten seconds of her seeing the photo, she calls him. "You better be ready to fight, boy." Morgan laughs in response, hanging up on her.

"My fiancé'll kill me if I show up in this." He tells the guy helping them. "I want somethin' southern classic." The guy nods and walks around the shop, picking out different pieces for a suit. Morgan sits on the couch next to his dad. "Do you want to marry Dani and me?" He whispers.

"Nothin' would make me happier, boy." He squeezes his shoulder. "We can have it at the church too."

"Awesome." He smiles, the guy comes back with a suit.

"Try this one on." He says, handing him a black button up, dark gray pants and a black reptile designed blazer with a bolo tie. He comes out of the dressing room and gives his dad finger guns as he clicks his tongue.

"That's it." He claps his hand together. "The pants are a little long but your momma can hem 'em."

"Great." The guy says. "I'll bag it on up and take it to the counter for y'all."

Morgan nods then changes back into his jeans, button up and cowboy boots before returning with his dad. "So, Dani is really upset that her dad isn't here to walk her down the aisle." He says after they pay for his suit and walk out to his dads pickup.

"I'll talk to her about it."

"You have to walk momma down. I'll talk to Hardy and see if he wants to. She won't admit anything so I'll have to do it myself."

"Us four need to have dinner together." He nods. "How 'bout tonight?"

"Sure. We'll probably have to talk 'bout wedding shit." He runs his hand through his hair. "We got majority of it planned, just a bunch of details to work out now."

"She's a good girl. I'm glad you guys got back together." His dad says as he swings around to his house. "Let's talk to your momma about hemmin' those pants."

"No, no, no!" Lesli shouts as the front door opens. "Hang on!" Dani's in her dress so Lesli can hem it. "Go on into his room, he has no reason to go in there." She ushers her into Morgan's old bedroom, tossing her clothes in with her before shutting the door. "Hey y'all." She says, smiling. "How'd it go?"

"I got a suit." He holds up the bag. "Where's Dani?"

"Oh she's 'round here somewhere." She says, kicking her sewing box under the table. Morgan lays his bag over a chair before excusing himself. He sighs as he turns the doorknob to his bedroom.

"Ah!" Dani jumps, her eyes going wide. "You're not supposed to see me in this, dude! It's bad luck!"

"I think we've had all the bad luck we're gonna get." He says, biting his lip as he shuts his door. "You're stunning." He does a once over before smiling wide. "Wow."

"What?"

"I'm gonna spend the rest of my life with you." He giggles. "I am truly blessed." He sits on his bed, his hands on her hips. "Wow."

"Well it's not done yet, your momma's hemmin' it for me. She's gonna take it in on the sides and chest." That smile never leaves his face as he just looks at her while she pinches the fabric at the seams. "Stop it." She chuckles.

"Can't help it." She leans down and kisses him. "I love you, baby."

"Good." She smiles, reaching back to unzip her dress. "Can you help?"

"No. You didn't say it back."

"Fine. I love you too." She rolls her eyes then turns her back to him, pulling her hair to the side so he has access to the zipper. He slowly unzips it, biting his lip when the straps slip off her shoulders. "Thanks." His hand linger on her skin a little longer than they should because he spins her and slides the dress the rest of the way off. "Hey now." She giggles.

"What?" He asks innocently. "They can wait for us." She giggles again and pushes him away, grabbing her hoodie and jeans. "We're supposed to have supper with my folks soon, like tonight."

"Sure, that sounds nice." She smiles at him as she pulls her hair into a bun. "I accidentally called your mom 'momma' today."

Morgan's heart hurts. She's truly depending on him and his family. "My dad offered to walk you down the aisle."

"He shouldn't do that. He has to walk your momma down." She exhales. "Maybe I can talk Michael into it."

"He would." Morgan says, wrapping his arms around her. "I love you."

"Hey I love you too." They pull away and return downstairs for dinner.

"This wedding date is real close, are you guys sure?" Lesli says, a notepad under her pen holdin hand. "I mean, we'd love to host the reception here and all."

"I told him we had to get crackin' on plans since we've been engaged for almost a year." Dani says, fiddling with the tablecloth.

"I mean we've been together for over twenty years, it's only a matter of time before we get hitched." Morgan smiles, his arm on the back of her chair. "Y'know what she did? She pulled out a farmers almanac to pick a date."

"Hey, those things are true!" Everyone's laughing together. "I mean we have access to everythin' we need right here."

"Right, the only thing we don't have is a theme or whatever. We can just do like orange or somethin'."

"No, we're not using the Vols as a theme." Dani says.

"Well it's either orange or a denim tux." Morgan smirks at her. "Pick your battle, baby."

"It's either married or single." She teases back, sticking her tongue out at him. "I'd rather have an orange reception than a denim suit wearin' man. Oh! We need a photographer, too! I bet Michael knows someone." She excuses herself from the table to call him.

"Hey baby, I was just thinkin' 'bout you."

"Hopefully good things." She says as she sits on Morgan's bed. "Do you know anyone that does photography?"

"I think Ernest's girlfriend does a little. I could give it a whack if you wanted."

"Actually I was gonna ask you if you wanted to, uh, walk me down the aisle?"

"What?" He asks, kind of stunned. "Really?"

"You're my best friend and we've been through a lot-"

"Sleeping together is a lot." He says sarcastically.

"Michael, if you're gonna be like this, I'm revokin' my offer." She can hear him rolls his eyes. "Don't do this to me, I need you to be apart of this."

"Yes ma'am." He mutters. "Daniella, I'd be truly honored to walk you down the aisle."

"Thank you." She sighs.

"Hey I wrote a song another song and I was wonderin' if y'all would give it a listen."

"We're actually having supper with Morgan's folks but I'll call you back when we get home, okay?"

He rolls his eyes, jealous that she's still with Morgan. "Yeah sure, baby, that'll be great." He says stiffly. He can't believe she's still marrying him after what went down with them; fighting over the miscarriage and his arrest in Alabama. "I should probably let ya get back to your fiancé." He spits before hanging up on her.

She sighs heavily as she looks down at her engagement ring then over at her wedding dress that's hanging on Morgan's closet door, over thinking everything.
