Third Person's POV

He couldn't believe what he saw. His Little Flower was magnificent up there. There was a soft glow all around her but nothing could compare to her fiery orbs that were instilling fear into those mindless creatures.

He looked back just in time to see an axe fly pass the side of his head. It missed him by less than a centimeter.

'Focus!' he scolded himself and continued fighting the trolls. Princess Esmeralda and Prince Zenas were doing fairly well, keeping each other in check from time to time. Prince Zenas saved his sister twice by slaying two trolls that came from behind her.

"You owe me Val!!"

"What for?!"

"What do you mean?! I saved you! Twice!" he said putting up two fingers.

"You're my older brother! It's your job!" she yelled back while she threw a knife at a troll. It hit him right between his eyes, causing him to drop dead on the ground.

"You're such a spoilt sister you know that?!! You screwed me up back there!!" she laughed out loud earning confused looks from some of the trolls nearby.

"We'll talk about that when this is over dear brother." With that they aimed their weapons on all those rock like creatures relentlessly coming at them from all directions.

The elven king and his army was strong enough to overthrow the trolls in the western boarder of Golden Haven. They've been fighting this war for years which made the elves more experienced and slick when it came to a battle like this. The giant trolls in the west side were quick to realize that they were losing a great number from their army. So instead of getting themselves killed, they moved to the upfront where most of the trolls were.

"Where the hell are they going?" the general asked.

"They're losing so they're running upfront to fight with their main army. We have to abandon this post and help the Prince." King Epaphroditus and a great number of elves rode towards the northern side. He left a small number of elves to guard the west side.

While they moved, there were already too many of them upfront and the eastern side. Both Prince Phoenix and Prince Alexander were doing all they can. A few moments later there was a loud sound of a horn, signalling for the Dark Prince and Queen Aurora to lure them all to the center.

"Aeval! Go with Prince Phoenix and merge your light with his dark powers! You are stronger than me. Both of you will most likely make a bigger explosion!!!" The Queen yelled through all the fighting. Her daughter's skin was still glowing with power. She was phenomenal out there.

The young princess flew towards her mother and signaled for the queen to fly up.

"This power that's flowing through my veins. It's more than I have ever imagined. It's beyond abundant."

"That is why-"

"That is why you must merge your gifts with his. I know what I have to do with my gifts. You just have to trust me mama," Princess Aeval cut her mother off.

"Sweetheart I don't understand. You're worrying me," her daughter only shook her head and smiled.

"There's nothing to worry about. I know how to end this. Once you create the explosion I'll do whatever it is that I have to do and join you here. Just trust me alright," she held her mother's hand for a few seconds then flew across her kingdom towards the Core of Life.

While she flew away from her mother, the fae queen and the Dark Prince lured the giant trolls to the center of the battlefield. All the great armies and their animals contributed to this by bringing themselves to the specific place. Once they rounded up most of the trolls in the same area, the fae queen and the Dark Prince held each others hands.

"We only have one shot Phoenix. We have to make full use of it," the prince looked around them, narrowing his eyes.

"What is it?"

"Everyone is here but I don't see my princess."

"She has something else on her mind, come on let's finish this."

"What?! Is she-"

"We don't have time! We have to end this now! My daughter is much stronger than you think, don't worry." The Queen said with confidence while she was also scared for the princess. Shaking her thoughts away, the two concentrated on their own powers, conjuring them throughout their bodies. The Dark Prince's eyes were turning pitch black while his veins spread all over his skin. Queen Aurora was absorbing so much energy that she was glowing brightly. Their aura and energy began to mix with one another creating a mist all around them.

The mist around them started to grow, its circle spreading bigger by the second. King Epaphroditus could already feel the nervousness among the trolls. "I'm going to fly us up for a larger target." The fae queen said and flew up with the Dark Prince.

Carrying up one other person was not much work for a fae with wings. An extra body wouldn't weigh much to them.

~~~
Meanwhile, Princess Aeval reached the Core of Life. The Guardians of that place were all heavily armed and ready to strike at any moment.
"Princess. What are you doing here? Are we losing?!"
"Calm yourself, Lord Durin. Please take me to the core at once," she said softly. She could feel their fear. This was one of the greatest wars in history and there was a huge chance that they may be defeated.
Lord Durin immediately complied. He told the other guardians to stand down and led her into the magnificent haven. The entire place was a huge secret garden, protected by dozens of gigantic trees. These trees grew no where else in the world. Since the flora here were the closest to the Core of Life, they grew up with its core nutrition, feeding themselves from it. No fae has ever seen any of these plants or the creatures there die.
As the young princess quickly walked through the place, the sound of the waterfall grew louder and louder.
Soon after they reached the core, they walked towards the vast clearing with a waterfall so high up that it seemed to be kissing the sky. Only the water wasn't blue nor clear. It was a magnificent gold and more of an enchanted flow of purity falling down and creating a river that connected all around Golden Haven.
"What are your plans princess?"
"You think I have it all figured out?" she suddenly asked nervously. Lord Durin looked at her quizzically.
"You wouldn't simply be here if you didn't have a plan. I believe you must have some sort of an idea princess."
"A thought. Just an impulsive thought. I...I don't even know if it would work to our advantage." She confessed meekly. Lord Durin held her hand at once.
"I don't know what thought you had. I don't even know the full extent of your gifts. I only know that you're the strongest of us all. You are powerful, smart and wise.
Something made you come here and you already know what you have to do, my princess. So just carry out your task, the rest will take care of itself." The princess squeezed the man's hand in appreciation for his words. She needed to hear them to calm her nerves.
She then strode over to the river bank not far from where the water was falling. Very carefully she submerged herself into the magical water.
"Princess!! You might not be able to take in that much power all at once!" Lord Durin cried out to her. He was right. The core was like a great energy source. Only the guardians ever get to go near it. It wasn't advisable for ordinary fae creatures to touch the Core, much less jump into it.
However, the princess was no ordinary fae. All that power brought no harm to her. Her skin glowed ten times brighter than it already was. Her eyes shined like the Sun. She was so bright that Lord Durin took a few steps back. He knew the other guardians were curious about the bright light as well.
Her lips parted and she spoke as how a mother would speak to her beloved children.
'It is time, I need you to work with me. We all need you. Come forth and show your strength to those who seek only destruction and chaos.'
After uttering those words. Her brightness spread all around her, lighting up the golden water source. Lord Durin stood shell-shocked as he watched her light shine and spread through the water, travelling all over the fae kingdom.
~~~~~~

"Just a little bit more my Queen," the Dark Prince encouraged. Queen Aurora pushed herself even more and the clouds began to change. The sky grew darker and the mist around them grew thicker. The soldiers and werewolves began to move away from the trolls as if surrendering. They managed to confuse the creatures for a moment.

"Now Prince Phoenix!!"

They merged both their powers until both became one. It created a huge ball in the sky. The ball of energy became bigger and bigger. Many of the trolls stopped whatever they were doing and looked up. Some ran for cover.

They merged until the ball became as big as possible, then the two beings released their powers, creating an explosion so big that it destroyed more than half of the troll population. Darkness and light spread everywhere destroying the trolls that were in that particular area. It was indeed a large number of them. They crumpled to the ground. Some were caught up in the explosion and their bodies were completely destroyed. There were dead and bloodied trolls everywhere.

However not all of them were gone. There was still a number of them left. It was enough for them to continue their battle. As stubborn as they were known to be, the Dark Prince knew they were not going to surrender yet.

"I....I have to take us down now Phoenix," Queen Aurora and the Dark Prince landed softly on the battlefield. The surviving trolls were slowly advancing forward.

"You don't look so good, Your Grace. Is there anything I could do?" Prince Phoenix grew weary of the Queen's condition. She was weakened by the usage of her powers. Thankfully King Sindrion met them a few moments later.

"She can't go on fighting. I have to get her to safety Prince Phoenix."

"I don't want to go without you," she said to her husband. He looked at her and shook his head but before he could say anything further, the ground shook. All three of them looked up to see a great number of trolls running towards them. They misjudged their count. Even though they wiped out so many trolls, the remainder was still a great number and they were prepared for round two. They came running in all directions, almost in a surrounding manner. The Royal Purebloods, Prince Alexander, King Epaphroditus and the Aplha King along with their armies got ready to go all out. They drew out their weapons and took a fighting stance. The trolls started running in full speed towards them. They were savage and vicious.

"Leave now!" the Dark Prince yelled at the fae King and Queen. However, they were too late. The trolls were too close and Queen Aurora couldn't fly.

Just when those barbaric creatures were about a hundred meters away from them, their surroundings began to turn bright. It intensified so much that Prince Phoenix couldn't properly see the thousands of trolls running towards them. His eyes began to hurt from the intense brightness.

Seconds later, the giant trolls were all blocked by the white light that came in between them and the great armies. The light made a cut across the battlefield separating the two parties. It was almost like a huge wall now. Its height going up to a hundred meters. King Sindrion Celeste looked at his wife knowingly.

The others remained shocked and confused by the magical great light. Just before any of them could recover, the wall of light started to move forward, in different directions, like a semicircle expanding.

The soldiers and werewolves didn't know exactly what to do so they decided to wait. As the strong light moved over the trolls, that was when the uneasiness started.

There were mixed reactions from everyone. There were a few screams and a lot of confusion among the armies. Some gasped in surprise or fright. Others moved back and away from the light source. There were some who covered their mouths and observed wide eyed not knowing how to react.

This was because, the moment the wall of light moved over the trolls, they turned to stone.

Leaving them motionless, heartless, lifeless.

The wall of light moved further and further, turning each and every troll on its path to grey stones. The light went on, far from the armies until they couldn't see it anymore. The whole battlefield was buried in silence after that.

No one spoke.

As time passed they began to look at each other as if expecting an answer from their friends.

More time passed as everyone processed what had just happened.

They had won.

They great war was over and they won.

The remaining trolls on the battlefield were all defeated.

There was nothing left for them to do. The mysterious light triumphed over everything that threatened to bring a dark end to all things good.

Soon after the silence was once again destroyed not by fear and destruction but by shouts of victory and celebration.

The cheering was indeed thunderous. The Alpha King was sure that the people of Red Kingdom could hear their shouts of joy.

As everyone was celebrating, the fae King and his Queen looked around. The Princess has not joined them. They looked to the direction of Prince Phoenix only to find him gone. "I bet he's looking for her as well. Where is she?" King Sindrion gently laid down his wife and began to look around. Anxiety was eating him up at that point.

She was supposed to be with them, celebrating.

"Aeval?!! Aeval!!!" he shouted in the crowd. He then commanded a few fae soldiers to look for his princess. They left immediately.

"Father!" Prince Alexander embraced the King tightly. "We won. We won because of her, our Evie."

"Yes, yes we did. Now we need to look for her."

"What?! She's not with you?! Who is she with?!"

"She went to the Core of Life alone. She already thought of her plan during the battle," King Sindrion explained quickly. "Quick take your horse. We are going there now."

That being said, both of them took of towards the Core. Prince Alexander was getting more and more perturbed by the second. Just as they were halfway there, the fae prince looked up at the sky and spotted another fae. At first he thought it was one of the soldiers but then his father shouted his sister's name.

She gracefully landed before them.

"Papa, Ale-"

"I almost had a heart attack Eve!!! You weren't with the rest so we assumed......something bad," he said all the while holding her in a bone crushing hug.

"Your skin is still glowing, sweetheart, are you alright?" King Sindrion hugged her.

"I'm fine papa but now I need to see Prince Phoenix."

"Why?!" they asked simultaneously.

"This isn't over. There's something else I need to do papa. Where is he?"

"Hey, listen to me you don't need to do anything else sweetheart. We won and it's all because of you. You must rest," the fae king replied softly but firmly.

"Not yet. I have to do one last thing. Both me and Prince Phoenix will have to do it. Please just let me and don't worry about me. Just trust me for now. I will come back to the castle." She pleaded with both of them and reluctantly they nodded.

"Thank you. Do you know where he is?"

"He-

"I'm here." Came a deep voice from behind them, cutting Prince Alexander's reply.

"You come back to the castle as soon as you carry out your plan young lady. I'm trusting it's not life threatening?" King Sindrion raised his brow and stared her down.

The princess quickly shook her head which made the fae prince roll his eyes.

"You! One scratch on her and you'll have to face me," the fae king and his son left after receiving a nod from the Dark Prince.

"That wall of great light. How did you do it?" he asked the now nervous princess.

"I'm not sure. I just willed myself to do it and I wanted Golden Haven safe. I need a deeper understanding about my gifts." Came her soft reply. Before she could say anything else, she found herself in the arms of the Dark Prince.

"I...I was so fucking worried. So worried. When you disappeared like that, that's when I felt actual fear. I'm so glad you're okay. Although, I don't understand the glowing," he said taking a step back to look at the glowing princess. Even after the effects of war and battle, his Little Flower still looked as gorgeous as ever.

"It's the energy in me."

"Fucking cool. You're a true fae warrior." He said adoringly. She looked down, not knowing how to react to his compliment. That only made him smile at her more lovingly.

He shook his head and asked her why she called him all of a sudden.

"The trolls. I wiped out almost all of them but there is still a number of them which escaped into the wild lands. A small number-"

"But they can return. With a bigger number." She nodded at this.

"I wanted to ask if you could create that explosion again. The one you did with my mother."

"She's too weak Little Flower, I can't make her do that again," blood rushed up to her cheeks as she heard the nickname again.

"Not with my mother. Can you do it again.....with me?" she asked looking into his eyes. The Dark Prince was surprised to hear this from her.

"You just used up a lot of your energy. What if something bad happens to your health? I won't take that risk. Don't do this." He said strictly. She took a step closer, surprising him again.

"Please, I know we have won the war but don't you want to end it permanently? This is our chance to do that. Please help me. Yes, maybe I'll become weak and tired but I will not die-"

"Don't use that word for yourself," he growled out. Memories of her laying motionless on his bed filled his mind. She looked away not knowing how else to convince him.

"I need to do this. We need to do this. Is your final answer no?" he looked down and sighed. He knew she would do it alone if he didn't help. "How tired will you become?" She smiled knowing he was going to help.

"We'll see."

~~~~~~
She flew towards the wild lands while the Dark Prince used his Vampiric speed to run there. They moved on until Prince Phoenix detected the sound of those creatures nearby. Without wasting any time. The two of them repeated what he and Queen Aurora had originally done earlier that day.
However, it was extremely different doing it with his Little Flower. He gave one hundred percent into his gifts while she gave everything she had. The results that came with it was mind blowing. The combination of her light and his darkness was nothing short of extraordinary.
