You, yes you, were an unlucky fellow.

You could be unlucky with some of the dumbest things, not just the lottery.

It was possible for you to buy a bag of chips and get 90% air in it.

Whenever you walked out of your front door, something, whether it be a potted plant or water or... banana peels, would always fall on you, even if you moved away long before it fell.

Luck really isn't on your side is my point.

However, in the near future, very very soon, all of that's gonna change.

You're just gonna have to live through the unluckiness for now ^-^.

"WHAT THE FUCK?! IT'S 8:30 ALREADY?! I'M GOING TO BE LATE AGAIN!!"

Somehow... your seven alarm clocks all didn't ring on time.

Three of them broke down, two of them rang too early (*cough* three in the morning), and one didn't ring at all.

As for the last clock, the time on it wasn't the current time, so it was useless.

As you frantically ran around, you realized your phone didn't charge last night and it was dead.

"Oh great, I can't even call (friend name) to say I'm late..."

You rushed out of your apartment and rushed to the elevator, only to find it was broken.

Stairs... Stairs... Stairs...

You slammed the stairwell door open and tripped while going down, which made you get to the front door faster, but it hurt like hell afterwards.

Running out of the apartment, a banana peel came flying from the sky and landed on your head.

"Fuck... Whatever."

You kept sprinting, not even bothering to take the bus.

The last time you did, the whole vehicle was filled and it broke down half way.

Going by foot would be more efficient, assuming you didn't run into any proble-

*THUD*

"Ow... Why is there a pole here..."

"Hey! Are you okay?"

A (uke skin tone) male with (uke hair colour) locks and stunning (uke eye colour) orbs looked at you, reaching out a hand to help you up.

"Thanks for your concern, but I'm alright, this is pretty normal."

You took his hand and got up, dusting off some of the dust on your butt, before picking up you bag and preparing to run again.

"Um, do you know where X Corporations is?"

"Wow, we're heading to the same place. The name's (Y/n), what's yours?"

The (uke hair colour) haired male looked at you, smiling.

"My name's (U/n). Nice to meet yo-"

"Sorry for interrupting, but if we talk any longer I' going to be late. Let's go."

The smaller male awkwardly stopped his sentence and followed you.

You were running pretty fast and your strides were much longer than his, but he still managed to keep up.

One thing you did notice though, was that you didn't run into anything bad on your way.

That's odd. The elevator was working perfectly fine.

That's not normal, you thought as you dragged the (uke eye colour) eyed male into the building.

Wonder why...

"Work never fails to surprise me..."

Your boss decided that it would be a good idea to add more work to the mountain you already had.

Adding to that pile of stress, your computer decided to break down today, causing you to run all over the building to get it fixed.

If it wasn't for the good pay, you would've flipped the boss off and left to find another job.

"U-um... Excuse me..."

You turned around and saw a familiar pair of (uke eye colour) orbs.

"You dropped this, (Y/n)," he hesitantly said, holding the keys to your apartment in his hand.

Oh shit... If I lost that I would be in big trouble.

"Thank you very much, (U/n). If I got that lost, the shit I would have to go through to replace it would be hell..."

He smiled as you two walked towards the main entrance.

"No problem! It's just that I realized we live in the same apartment." He beamed, holding up his key to show you.

Damn coincidences.

"We can come to work everyday together!" He continued as he threw his arms up happily, slightly walking faster.

Cute... But with my dumb ass luck, the chances of him getting injured is pretty high...

"Um," you started, not too sure how to reject this glowing ball of sunshine, "it would be best if you didn't come too close to me, actually. N-not because I don't like you! I-it's cause I have terrible luck and some of the dumbest things happen to me and the people around me..."

He swivelled his head around to look at you.

"You do?"

"Unfortunately, yes. So it would be best for you to-"

Before you could finish your sentence, a pair of (uke skin colour) hands grabbed yours, causing you to stop and look at him.

"I'll just give you some of my luck! I have amazing luck and wouldn't mind sharing!" He giggled, pulling you towards the direction of the bus stop.

"Come on, let's get home first!"

Please don't let anything bad happen to (U/n), you thought as both of you boarded the bus and took a seat.

He's too adorable, death can't take him...

"See you tomorrow, (Y/n)!"

You said goodbye as well, before heading off to your own apartment.

"What. The. Fuck."

Both you and (U/n) managed to get home unharmed, which you were not expecting.

"Why didn't the bus breakdown? How come it does the last- I mean every single time I ride the bus except this time?!" You rambled to yourself, genuinely confused.

The next moment, a bird hit your window and it shattered.

"FUCKING LUCK!!" Sighing, you got someone to fix it, hoping that nothing else bad would happen.

Long story short, there were a couple more stupid things that happened and you really didn't care cause work already took all your energy.

You and (U/n) got closer and closer together, and you realized soon enough that terrible things don't happen when your around the cute ball of sunshine.

You two talked about luck and how the shorter males good luck most likely cancels out your horrible one.

This made you feel really bad about taking his luck, and you slowly started distancing yourself from him.

Running whenever you can, interacting with him as little as possible at work, and so on.

However, it didn't stop the (uke eye colour) eyed male from following you everywhere you went.

You felt... weird on the inside.

Whenever you forcefully move yourself away from him, your heart starts to feel heavy, you feet start to waver, not wanting to leave the smaller male behind.

This feeling continued for some time, until you couldn't take it anymore and asked your friend. The internet. (you don't have many friends... just like me TvT)

'Why does my heart feel heavy?'

"Let's see... anxiety... stress... love?"

You click into the website and read the article.

"I'm in love with (U/n)?!"

What?! Maybe I should double check...

You ended up taking a bunch of (random) quizzes and tests about whether or not you were in love.

The results? All positive.

You were,1000% in love with the (uke hair colour) haired male.

"But... my luck will effect him, his luck was so good before he met me... I can't drag him down..."

You decided that it would be best to tell him to leave you alone, as much as you don't want to.

Feeling a little depressed, you headed off to bed, unable to sleep, thinking about (U/n).

"Good morning (Y/n)-"

"Let's talk for a bit after work."

(Uke eye colour) orbs stared into yours, with a hint of fear in them.

You heard his voice slightly trembled as he replied: "O-okay..."

Work was finally done for the day and you two went to a coffee shop close to your apartment to talk.

"S-so um, (Y/n)... w-what did you want to t-talk about?..." he said, fiddling with the drink in front of him.

Oh shit I scared him... Sorry... But I'm probably gonna scare you more...

"Can you please stop following me, or talking to me, or interacting with me? Just don't talk to me at all."

His heartbroken expression immediately got to me, like knives piercing deep into my own heart, being pulled out, then stabbed again, over and over.

"I-is it because I'm too clingy? Or is it be-because I-"

"It's not your fault." Tears started falling from his magnificent (uke eye colour) eyes, dripping down his face and falling onto the table.

Why can't I let you go...

"B-but why would you i-ignore me then?" You mentally sighed.

"I-it's complicated. Just don't come close to me."

He stood up and slammed his hands on the table, screaming "Then tell me!!", causing some people in the cafe to look at you.

"Sit down first."

"Sorry," he apologized, wiping some tears with his sleeve and taking a seat.

"The reason why I'm telling you to leave me alone is because..."

You took a deep breath before continuing.

"Is because I don't want to drag you down."

He stares at you, dumbfounded and lost.

"I like you. You make me feel content and can literally make most of my problems go away. But that wouldn't be fair to you, if I took your luck, just to level out my own luck."

Liquid form in his eyes, yet again free falling onto the space beneath.

"So you should stop following me and go continue to be the happy-go-lucky guy you were."

(U/n) wasn't looking at you anymore.

His head was drooped down and his tears kept on flowing non-stop.

A long while pasted and you were starting to get worried.

Is he okay? Did I break him... please tell me I didn't...

When (U/n) finally spoke, he said in a shaky voice: "B-but I like you too..."

You weren't expecting that.

That was the last thing you'd expect someone to say to you.

Because of your luck, making friends was almost impossible, and landing a job took forever as well.

"You've got to be joking..." you whispered, still a little struck by his confession.

"I'm not!" He said in a serious tone, whipping his head up and looking at you.

His small hands grabbed your larger ones, holding as if the world was going to end.

"I, (U/n), like you, (Y/n)! I like you a lot!!"

He clearly didn't get the point of this conversation.

"Listen, (U/n)," you started pulling you hands out of his grip, "we can't be together. My luck will drag you down."

(U/n) suddenly pulled out a twenty dollar bill, put it on the table, and dragged you back to his apartment.

The entire time he was silent, and he looked very, very angry.

You tried talking to him, but he ignored you.

Once you got into his apartment, he pushed you onto the couch and kissed you.

What?

He noticed that you weren't kissing back and started to panic.

His small hands pulled your head closer to his, and he deepened the kiss, hoping to get a reaction.

When you didn't give him one, he stopped kissing you and poured his tears out onto your shirt.

Unable to do much as (U/n) was on top of you, you put one hand around his waist and the other started patting his head.

A long time past before he calmed down, and by that time your shirt was soaked.

"Sorry..." he apologized, not looking at you.

"You should find someone who doesn't have horrible luck."

"I don't care if you take away my luck... Meeting you is the luckiest thing that ever happened to me... So please... don't leave me..."

His words struck you. Hard.

Of course it was really heartwarming, and it felt as if your broken heart was starting to piece itself back together.

"You... you really don't mind? I might never let you leave me," you started.

"I'll make sure you never see anyone else but me." You said, wrapping both arms around him and burying your head in the crook of his neck.

"Then lock me up. I don't mind."

You looked up and saw (U/n) with teary eyes and a wide smile plastered on his face.

You then smiled as well, as you pulled him closer and kissed his sweet lips.
