"He just patted me like a freaking dog." I mutter looking back around to Trev and Luella who did in fact look amused.

"It's not funny." I say. "At all."

"He's so confused, you are so confused, it's funny to watch."

"I am not confused." I reply to Luella stubbornly. "He can do whatever."

"Don't say that." Trev laughs and he nods behind me. "Because he's literally about to do that and you're gonna get mad."

I follow his gaze and I stare across the room at the fact August is sat down on his armchair, an amused looking Nia sat with her legs thrown over him.

"I am not gonna get mad." I laugh, looking back at Trev.

Not mad, just a little burning in the pit of my stomach but it's chill.

Trev laughs at me and I ignore the way I wanna turn around again and look.

"She's been here a lot huh." I say.

Trev shrugs. "I don't think I should answer that."

I look at Luella, crinkling my nose and she laughs at me and she turns around to survey the counter behind me and she grins, reaching over and grabbing me a bottle of tequila.

"Drown your sorrows Em."

I go to grab the bottle and Trev intercepts it. "You are not well enough to drink."

I frown. "I feel okay now."

He shakes his head. "No Blue."

I look at Luella surprised, and she just lifts her hands in amusement. "His house his rules."

I turn my eyes playfully cold and I glare at him. "Trev."

He gives immediately and I laugh, taking the bottle in my hand and unscrewing it.

"Seriously though. Take it easy."

I nod and take a sip, wincing at the harsh burn and then I settle into our little spot, like Lue and I up on the side, Trev standing by our legs, just talking, both of us passing the bottle back and forth, him shaking his head playfully every single time he passes it back to me.

"Your dress is loose." A voice says from behind me and before I can even comprehend, Nia's hands are under my arm, tying my dress back up properly.

I look around for August and then turn my eyes to hers when I can't see him. "Oh thankyou."

"No worries sweet." She says and I hand her the tequila bottle which was now a lot less full. Oh goodness.

Nia.

She was really freaking pretty. It was almost tragic. For me. Not for her. Like I said she was annoyingly beautiful.

"Luella, I haven't seen you since that night out in town last year, the one with the psychology society." Nia says and Lue gives her a small smile.

"I saw you August's birthday but okay."

My eyes widen a little, looking to Lue and then I just reach forward and take the bottle back, needing a sip. Tension? Or am I just tense.

I think I am just tense.

"Saw Josie and Molly yesterday actually." Nia says. "Are yous still friends?"

Luella shakes her head a little. "Not really."

"Oh they asked about you, they were friendly, I assumed you guys had been in touch."

"No." Lue whispers and I immediately reach for her hand to link our fingers at her little sad tone.

I am guessing these are her friends from before.

"Really?" Nia says. "Yous were so close."

"And it's time to go." Trev says and he pulls Luella off the counter, leaving me behind and I stare a little surprised at the back of their heads. Trev knew Nia was drunk and he knew her words were hurting Lue so they left.

I am totally not offended that they left me here.

Nope not at all.

"Hey." Nia laughs, coming to stand in front of me and she watches as they walk away.

"That's sad." She mumbles.

"Oh goodness.' I whisper, staring at the pretty drunk girl infront of me.

"What's your name again?" She asks and I give her a small smile, matched with a big gulp of tequila.

"Emersyn."

She smiles. "I am Nia."

"I know." I say, looking around for August. Like Leo don't disappear from me but let your girl come and I don't even know what she's doing she is just staring at me, amused.

"I am drunk so I am just going to speak." She says.

"Okay." I breath.

"You aren't his usual type."

"Whose?" I feign ignorance.

She rolls her eyes at me, a big smile growing on her face as she looks at me.

"Our friend August, where is he?" She looks around for him and neither of us spot him.

"He doesn't usually invite more than one of his girls to his at one time, what's he expecting?" Nia asks and she gives me a little grin.

"What did you mean not his type?" I ask, a little self destructively.

"White." She laughs. "Although I do not have a preference."

I raise an eyebrow at her. "Huh?"

"He doesn't normally go for white girls so I am surprised that is all. But what I was saying is that I personally don't have a taste in men." She says. "Or women. Don't really care too much to be honest, I just am attracted to who I am attracted to."

I nod along with her, even though I didn't really know what she was getting at.

Then well my eyes widen considerably because the girl grins at me and she jumps up in the counter besides me, turning to me and she lifts one of her legs so it's thrown a little over mine.

I just stare down at it.

"You gave him the hicky right? I asked. He wouldn't say. You know that's against his rules right? Leaving marks?"

I don't know what possessed me to but I lift my skirt up my thigh, turning to her and showing her the finger marks that are bruised into me.

"We never had a discussion." I mumble.

She looks down at my legs and grins and I burn a little puzzlingly when she slides her hand across my thigh and leans into my ear.

"I came here for sex, I did. I will admit that." She laughs a little. "I am just saying that it's strange we are both here unless he was thinking about something that includes the both of us."

I blink at her. I think she thinks August and I are much more than what we are.

"Nia-"

"You ever gotten with a girl before?" She whispers and my eyes jump bright open when I feel her press her lips down over my ear.

"No wonder he plays with you, you are so responsive." She breathes and I don't know what they hell I am thinking but it's definitely a cross between this escalated quickly, my face is on fire, and also where the hell is August?

I search. Almost desperately.

August is here, his eyes attached to us from across the room and he was just watching.

And then suddenly I wondered if he knew what she was asking of me.

I pulled a face and turn my head away.

"Nia, nothings going on with August and I. You've over read the situation."

She looks confused and she pulls away from me. "So you aren't fucking?"

I shake my head and this is when August gets up from being sat on the carpet besides his mates and he walks over to us, his eyes almost hesitant.

"You aren't fucking her." Nia states and I of course wince at her bluntness.

He looks at me, confused, then back at her. "No."

"I was just saying she could join us tonight." Nia jumps off the counter, almost taking me with her but I hang on, watching August's face, I want to see his reaction.

"I don't believe that's a very good idea." August chuckles and Nia wraps an arm around his waist, which makes me lift my eyes away from it, or well them.

"I think it would be hot." She whispers. "I'd be down."

August gives her a small amused smile. "You'd be down for anything like this."

She grins back at him and then she lifts to her tiptoes and she whispers something into his ear and August's eyes dart to mine, his stare so God damn intense I am actively trying not to melt.

Luella? Trev? Why did you leave me oh my goodness.

"No." He whispers a little harshly at her. "No." He repeats, firmly his eyes on mine.

I just throw him a pleading look, a look that says I dunno what's going on right now man and his lips tug up a little at my face.

Then he lowers his lips to Nia's ear and he says "Bedroom." His voice firm, no room for argument and the girl smirks a little, taking the key he was holding out for her and she detaches herself from his side, disappearing off inside the room.

Damn.

I crinkle my nose up at him and he laughs a little, stepping towards me and I immediately cross one of my legs over the other, a firm stay where you are Mr.

He lifts his hands in surrender and August looks over to his bedroom and then he looks back at me.

"Good night Emersyn Rose."

My lips tug up at his tone, it's almost teasing.

I smile. "Good night August, hope you have fun."

Hus eyes narrow and he slowly shakes his head at me and then he nods to someone behind me. "Make sure everyone's out before you pass out." And then he walks back around the counter and heads to his room.

God.

I turn and look at Trev and Lue who had made a return and they look at me questionably.

"Pretty sure I was just propositioned for a threesome by Nia and I didn't even have a chance to say no because August said no and sent her to his room and now he's gone there and they gonna do the nasty." I inform them, my voice a little sulky, nose turned up and Luella gives me a look that's crossed between amusement and concern.

I just huff. "Whatever." I mumble and I hand the tequila bottle back to Trev. "I am bored." I tell them.

Trev pouts. "That's not nice, everyone else seems to be having a good time."

"My buzz got taken away from me." I sulk and then my eyes flick to the figure directly behind Trev across the room. Nas was talking to Phoenix, he was laughing loudly, shaking his head at the other guy and I decide I need that cheerfulness right now so I shrug and jump down from the kitchen side.

"What are you doing?" Luella says, amusement evident as I pull my dress down more securely, and I make two cups up of whatever I can find.

"I am being slightly reckless." I smile. Then turn around, my eyes finding Nas's and he looks up and we exchange a smile. Luella watches this little interaction, so does Trev and I go to pass and he blocks my way.

"Baby Blue I feel like this is a bad idea."

"Trust me." I laugh, throwing them both a look. "I am single, why not?"

Luella bites her lip a little, eyeing Trev and he shrugs at her, ultimately saying he can't stop me so I slide around them and I head towards Nas.

"Girlie." He smirks when I come and interrupt their conversation.

I smirk a little and hand him a drink. "Feel like I owe you that shot from earlier."

He gives me a grin and looks into the cup. "A shot?"

"There may be a few mixed in there."

Phoenix makes a disapproving noise but leaves us and I smile, leaning my back against the wall we were stood at.

"Are you trying to get me drunk?" He says and I widen my eyes innocently.

"I would never."

He grins. "You have changed your tune from a couple of hours ago."

I just lean back and look at him, amusement filling me when his eyes are excited. "I am not sleeping with you." I say and his grin drops to a smirk that reads he is not too sure about that.

His body grows closer and I don't stop it, but I do make it very clear to him just before his lips meet mine. "I am serious. I won't leave with you. But you wanna dance? I can do that."

He smirks a little and narrows his eyes to try and read mine.

"Not one for casual hookups?"

That explains it enough. I nod. "I'll mess around to a certain point but when I say stop, what does that mean Nas?"

He stares at me, amusement and curiously filling his eyes and he gives me a little nod.

"I hear you."

"Good." I grin, downing my drink and I hold out my hand for him to take. "Dance with me then kid."

He grips my hand in his, tossing our cups onto the side and he pulls me close behind him, leading me back amongst the people.

Then he turns me quickly so I am pressed against his chest. "You just called me kid."

I grin a little up at him, he's taller, but he makes me feel tall. Our heights not that different, not compared to lanky Trev and August. "Yes."

"I am pretty sure I am older than you."

I smile a little. "Only a few years."

He looks down at me. "18?"

"Mhm."

He shakes his head a little and then he tells me to shush. And so I do. We don't talk, we just dance, his hands not overly grabby but definitely not freaking shy and I probably shouldn't be dancing seeing as how I ended up feeling after last time but this type of dancing Nas and I were doing wasn't taking a lot of effort. It was almost slow, sensual. He radiated amusement and so did I, both of us building up a little, getting more bold as the songs go on and in the dark room, I am turned my back pressed against his front and we continue to move our hips together.

"Why?" He whispers, sliding his hands round my middle as I dance with him.

I don't respond, my eyes still closed and his head lowers, his nose finding the crook of my neck and I open my eyes and I think back to one of the little goals Lue set for me this summer. There were a lot. The easiest one being kiss a stranger.

I was drunk anyway and so I turned around in his arms and with his lips still pressed a little against my skin, I lifting him chin and he leaned down, our forehead's touched, the tips of our noses brushing, my heart racing, more from the dancing than his touch, honestly, and then his lips came down on mine.

Damn I wanted to do it.

Warm and slightly rough, Nash's lips were eager where mine were slow at first, testing the shallows before after a few seconds I let myself fall into it, and I too was met with a surg of eagerness which was aimed more on proving something to myself than kissing the man infront of me.

But I did kiss him, and he kissed me perfectly, as if it had been rehearsed a hundred times before and well that didn't really bother me, it was just funny and okay so when he took my lower lip into his mouth and sucked a may have tightened my grip on his jaw at the sensation. And okay maybe I wasn't as cool a freaking cucumber because as he had parted my lips and slipped his tongue in, deepening the kiss I couldn't help but feel the kiss resonate with me in our parts of my body.

It was a good kiss alright?

He pulled back. His breath fast, our faces closer and he takes one of my hands and he slides is down his body and awfully boldly he pressed my hand between us, over his crotch when was awfully solid.

My breath hitched.

"Not many girls can turn me on with just a kiss Emersyn." He whispers. "You wanna get out of here?"

Okay now I do feel bad.

"I told you I couldn't." I whisper, moving my hand and he lets me wrap it around his neck again, his coming back to my waist and he rubs circles into my hips gently.

"I will make it worth it." He whispers, his lips back close to my ear and I shake my head.

"You got a kiss. That's more than others have gotten from me."

Nas lets out this breath, pulling back and he looks me dead in the eye.

"You are going to drive me insane, I can feel it already."

I shake my head. "I told you."

"You did." He smirks and he presses his lips against mine again, an open mouth kiss which sent me a little weak on my heals. "You warned me and I did not fucking listen."

"Thanks for the dance Nas." I whisper, deciding to pull this little encounter to a close.

He was hot. I admit.

Broad, big.

But we all knew I was a little too stuck on a certain slender tall guy who reminds me a little too much of a Lion.

"Your friends said you and August are a thing." He whispers, not letting my go when I attempt to lower my hands and step away.

"Mm." I hum. "He's fucking a girl in his room as we speak."

A smirk grows on Nas's face. "Oh I see."

I don't even deny it, I smirk a little back and he shakes his head at me.

"You are bad."

Not really. "Just wanted to have some fun." I whisper and Nas's eyes grow serious.

"Then come home with me."

I smirk, shaking my head. I wasn't that reckless.

"I am gonna get a drink." I say. "You may come if you want to."

He sighs, more amused than annoyed but I can still tell he's frustrated with me.

"You are a tease Emersyn."

I frown then. "I told you."

"Yeah I know." He mutters, linking our fingers and pulling me with him as we escape from the other people dancing and head back towards a canoodled up Trev and Luella.

We walk around them, they were kissing, softly. It was almost painful to look at.

"They were definitely not this close when I left." Nas whispers to me and I throw him a lazy smile.

"They are the best."

He smiles at me.

"They are?"

"Mhm." I hum in exaggeration. They are. I do love them.

"And I thought you were involved with August, here it looks like it's Lue and Trev."

I am not involved with anyone.

I playfully think about it. "I could see myself being in a throuple with them." I agree and he chuckles.

"Honestly me too, they are both ridiculously hot."

I grin up at him. "I know right?" I gush and then Lue and Trev part, looking at us and their look tells us that they heard exactly what we were saying.

"Foursome?" Nas suggests and the look that Trev throws him makes me burst into laughter and I push him away from me, hitting his hip and he stumbles away.

"Bye now Nas." I say.

He looks at me, his jaw dropped a little and then he sniggers, grabbing himself a beer and he goes off towards Cal, Phoenix and Claire.

"Hi." I grin, skipping over to them and they exchange a look.

"Hello Emersyn." Lue says.

She never says my long name.

I look at her afraid.

"Oh no." I whisper and then look at Trev and they are both looking directly at me.

If I close my eyes will they go away?

I close them and Lue laughs.

"What are you doing?"

"Manifesting your disappearance." I whisper back and Trev laughs loudly, wrapping his arm around my shoulder and I lean happily against his side.

"Have fun did you?" Lue smirks, shaking her head at me and I grin a little up at her.

"You told me to kiss a stranger." I tell her.

She sighs at me, amused, but a little disapprovingly. "Yeah okay but Nasr Al-Bishi is not a stranger Emersyn he lives down the hall, he's like Callum and Phoenix, like our mate."

I smile a little sheepishly. "He's a stranger to me?"

Trev laughs, wrapping his arm tighter around me and he looks down.

"We were watching you, I was cheering you on, Lue was stressing."

"Well now you've lost us both a tenner dickhead." Luella says, referring to the earlier bet.

I smile a little. "Claire didn't see." I shrug. "Who needs to know."

Luella laughs and pats the side besides her and I jump up, feeling like I have a lot of energy. My buzz is well and truly back where it belongs.
