281 A.C.

"If only Jaime were here."

Livia looked to her younger sister who kept sighing about her twin. It was almost unusual to her how much they doted on each other but who was she to judge the bond of twins.

"But aren't you proud of Jaime? He's a knight now and he is the youngest knight in history to be a Kingsguard." Livia smiled at Cersei as they waited for the tourney to begin.

"I thought that if he were Kingsguard, we would be able to spend more time together. I didn't know father would take me back to the Rock." Cersei pouted, a huge frown on her face.

"He'll be fine, Cersei and so will you. At least you will be at the comfort of home." Livia attempted to make her see the bright side.

"Without you or Jaime." Cersei answered, rolling her eyes.

Livia did not know what else to say what with Cersei's ill temper. "Oh, I think I see Oberyn. Will you be alright here on your own, dear sister?"

Cersei only nodded before turning away, mumbling about Livia marrying Oberyn instead.

Livia turned to look for Oberyn with a sigh. All this time and Cersei was still as difficult as ever but she did love her sister. Though she may be quite short-tempered, her love for her family never wavers except in matters concerning Tyrion.

Livia looked through the tents to look for her Dornish friend. They had kept in contact through Elia's perseverance. Although the Dornish princess has wed and had given birth to children, she still made time for her brother and her friend.

Thinking that she had heard Oberyn's voice in one of the tents, Livia entered the tent only to see laughing drunk men as they held a drinking contest.

All heads turned to look at her as she stared in shock. "Forgive me, I was looking for someone and I-excuse me."

She was about to exit the tent in embarrassment when she heard a familiar voice. "I knew I'd find you again, my lady."

Livia felt her mood dampen when she turned around to see the one man she had tried to forget all this time. The man who turns out was betrothed to Lyanna Stark and yet still tours Westeros to look for women.

"Lord Robert, Ser Richard, it seems I have interrupted something, forgive me." She spoke calmly.

Ser Richard Lonmouth, a knight of Rhaegar recognized her immediately. "No, please. Forgive us, my lady. It is ungallant to show such behavior to a highborn lady such as yourself."

However Robert seemed to not see the inappropriate sense of everything. "My lady, I have thought about you in nights where I find myself restless."

Livia scoffed at his words. "Lord Robert, save your charm for someone who would get charmed. I have already expressed my wants the last time we spoke."

"Yes, even now I still feel the mark you left on me." Robert answered with an arrogant tone as he raised his hand to his face as if remembering the slap she gave him.

"Well, you deserved it my lord." She said, her tone confident.

"Did I?" He asked, taking a step closer.

Closer he went but just before he could get as close as he wanted, another person entered the tent.

"Livia? I thought I heard your voice." Oberyn said, smiling though it slightly wavered when he saw Lord Robert and Ser Richard.

"Oberyn, I was just looking for you and I stumbled upon these gentlemen's... activities." Livia answered, hooking her arm around Oberyn's. "Forgive me once more for interrupting. Good day, Ser Richard."

Livia left with Oberyn in tow, leaving the two men in awe of the golden lion that was just in their midst.

"Since when have you known Lady Livia?"

Robert turned to Ser Richard who seemed curious about their exchange.

"Lady Livia? How do you know her?" Robert retorted, crossing his arms.

"Of course I know her. She's been in King's Landing for a while now and how can you not know her? She's the pride of Lord Tywin." Richard answered.

Lord Tywin. Lord Tywin Lannister which meant that Livia is

"Lady Livia Lannister?" Robert asked, grabbing one more goblet before downing it.

"Who else? Do you mean to tell me that you have been flirting aggressively with one of the lions of Casterly Rock without knowing so?" Richard asked, laughing out loud as he did.

Robert did not say anything in return, drinking two more goblets.

"Well come on then, I'm already winning."

Everyone clapped their hands as Prince Rhaegar unseated Ser Barristan at the tourney. He was proclaimed the victor of the joust, winning against four knights of the Kingsguard.

Livia was seated beside Oberyn, with a clear view of the tourney's events and close to the king who seemed indifferent to the victory of his son. Livia turned to Elia with a smile as she seemed to glow with happiness.

Rhaegar held the crown of blue winter roses in his hands as he scanned the crowd, all of them seeming to adore the prince, including Livia.

King Aerys was a very foul king and Rhaegar, he was wise, charming and loved but all that was about to change.

Rhaegar rode past his wife, Elia and Livia saw the change in her face. The smile and the glow dimming. With no hesitation at all, the prince rode towards Lyanna Stark, who was seated beside her betrothed.

Her betrothed. Robert Baratheon.

Meeting her eyes, he laid the crown of blue winter roses upon her lap. Everyone was silent then. No one dared to utter a sound. All was still and after a moment, Lyanna Stark smiled.

All hell broke loose then.

Livia watched as Elia stood and walked off, the tears falling from her eyes. The Starks were pulling Lyanna from her seat to exit as well. Oberyn was shouting profanities at Rhaegar, looking about ready to kill the prince.

Livia stood, as she watched people breaking into fights but in the midst of all of the chaos. She looked to where Lyanna Stark used to be seated, though now empty but the seat beside hers was still occupied.

Robert Baratheon sat, still staring at the spot where Rhaegar Targaryen was. His fists were clenched as was his jaw, Livia noticed. She looked on in pity for the man despite his past actions towards her.

No one deserved to be ignored and shamed in that manner. For a moment, she even felt sorry for him.

Robert looked up, meeting her eyes and in those blue swirls, she saw the anger, the humiliation, the rage, the violence but underneath all that she saw that he was hurt. Hurt by his cousin, hurt by his betrothed.

He stood up then, breaking their gazes as he walked away with a heavy heart and a rage-addled mind.

But Livia could not deny what she saw. She saw in his eyes a promise that this was not the end. This was just the beginning.

Little did she know that what Rhaegar and Lyanna did, what they were to do, they would change the course of history forever and completely transform Livia Lannister's fate into something unexpected.
