《Poems》When Times Were Better

It doesn't really hit you

Until it's very late at night,

When the clock finally hits two am,

And you're lying there in the moonlight.

Your friends have all moved on,

And your life just doesn't feel the same.

Something's changed in your very core.

It's not good what you've became.

It's not that you're sad,

Or unhappy with what is there.

You just miss the days before

With laughter and light everywhere.

Now life is just so dull.

No excitement or delight.

All you have left are memories,

That shine oh so very bright.

You wish you could go back.

You would give anything to know the answers.

But wishes don't come true,

And time doesn't move backwards.
