The one about growing up

We talk about college and jobs,
Dating, marriage, and kids.
But we don't talk about living.
About adventure, and romance,
Betrayal, magic, and mystery.
We don't talk about my knight
In shinning armor,
Or my wizard friend who will help
Me to defeat my archenemy.
We don't talk about exploring.
We don't talk about living life
To the fullest.
How do you expect me to live in
This mundane world,
When I grew up living in so many
