《Different but Similar (McHanzo Fanfiction)》Steakout

"Sombra is in the warehouse, but we're gonna need backup. All the Talon officials are present." Jesse said.
"Copy, I'll send a squad out there soon. In the mean time, make sure none of the agents leave." Winston replied.
The phone hung up. McCree sighed. Hanzo turned to him.
"What is it?"
"We're having a steakout."
"So?"
"I hate just sittin' around and doin' nothin'." McCree whined sitting on the floor of the ship.
Hanzo tried to hold in laughter.
"But you do that all the time Jesse."
"Hey!"
Hanzo chuckled at him and sat down. They both looked out of the ship and kept there scanners on the warehouse.
"I'd like to take another trip soon. If this all ends well, we should celebrate by going on a trip. Just the two of us Hanz."
"That sounds nice. One could argue that being back at the base has been difficult. Especially during our suspension. I would not mind leaving for a bit."
"Well then, it's settled. If this all ends well, drinks and a tropical trip on me."
"You mean with the money you stole?"
There was a long pause.
"Hanz, recently I've been earning my own money, without breakin' the law. I'd be happy to use it to get us a nice vacation spot."
"Really?"
Jesse nodded.
"Jesse, I...that's great! I'm proud of you. Thank you."
McCree chuckled and looked down.
"Don't thank me yet darlin'. We still gotta get through this damn night."
"Right."
McCree got a text from Winston.
Jesse, it will be a while before a team shows up. Be patient and no drinking.
-Winston
McCree shook his head in disappointment.
"I need a drink."
Hanzo chucked at him.
"Pass it this way." Hanzo replied.
They helped each other finish a bottle of booze. Hanzo started falling asleep on Jesse's shoulder. He caressed the top of his head and whispered when he spoke.
"Don't fall asleep on me Hanz. We gotta wait this out."
"Couldn't we just take turns watching?"
"I need you awake to make sure I don't fall asleep darlin'."
Hanzo sat up trying to keep himself awake.
"Alright, fine. Together."
Hanzo raised a bottle to his lips. Jesse grabbed the bottle bringing it down.
"Enough of that."
Hanzo shook his head trying to stay focused. He set down the bottle and watched.
The night got cold. The two of them had been waiting for hours. No one came in or out of the warehouse. Nothing moved. It was as if the world had froze. The sun started to rise. It was then that McCree knew what was going on. He sat up.
"They know we're here."
All of a sudden two large ships flew in. They landed and out poured Overwatch agents. They emerged on the warehouse. Winston walked out and came over to Hanzo and McCree's ship. He smiled.
"Good work you two, we will soon have Talon thanks to you."
"Boss I don't think that's a good idea, they..."
"We are about to end the biggest terrorist group in the world, let's go. You both deserve to take these criminals in." Winston said looking towards the warehouse.

"Winston I think they know we are here."
"Impossible, I jammed their signal. We have them surrounded."
All of a sudden a loud alarm started going off.
"What the hell?"
The alarm blared all across the area. Everyone gasped. The ground started to shake around them. All of the agents stopped and muttered to one another. Just then, large metal pillars rose from the ground all around the area. they formed a large square around the warehouse, the ships, everyone. Hanzo stood up holding onto Jesse. They held on for dear life as the ground shook. The pillars started glowing red as they formed a box around them. In the distance Reinhardt attempted to stop the pillars by bashing into them, but it kicked him into the air across the field. The pillars formed red lines over them turning the land into a cage. Hanzo stepped out of the ship with McCree and looked up to see the cage forming around them.
"It was a goddamn trap!" McCree exclaimed. "I fuckin knew it!
He fell to the ground slamming his fists into the dirt. Hanzo stooped down trying to comfort him.
"Be calm, we'll be alright."
Just then the door to the warehouse opened. Sombra and the other Talon members stepped out with their hands high above their heads.
"We surrender." Sombra exclaimed with a mischievous smile on her face.
McCree stood and quickly walked up to Sombra in rage. Hanzo tried to keep up trying to calm Jesse down. McCree grabbed Sombra by the collar.
"What the bloody hell is this!"
Winston jumped in.
"Jesse! Stand down!"
"I should kill you right here!" Jesse exclaimed tightening his grip.
Doomfist emerged and spoke up.
"I would not do that if I were you cowboy." Doom said. "She is the only one who can get you out of this cage, so I suggest that you let go."
Jesse felt Hanzo grab his shoulder.
"McCree, leave her be. We will get to the bottom of this." Hanzo tried to persuade.
"Aw, isn't that sweet." Sombra spoke up from under Jesse's grip.
He looked at her sternly, tightening his grip a bit.
"Jesse, now."
He finally let go. Sombra readjusted her collar and stared at them, smiling. Winston walked up.
"Akande, what is this all about?" Winston asked.
"What do you mean? We have surrendered. Take us away monkey, oh that's right. I guess you cannot."
Winston had the Talon agents put in cuffs and brought into the warehouse.
"Angela and Torbjorn, I want you to come in with me to question them. Reinhardt, get the rest of the agents together and find a way out of here." Winston ordered.
"You got it."
McCree wanted to question the agents, but he knew his place. He stayed outside. Hanzo and him went back to their ship to see if their were any tools. McCree grabbed the bottle Hanzo was holding earlier and put it to his lips. Hanzo looked at him strangely.
"Were trapped in a giant cage with the most wanted terroristic criminals in the world and are tryna get out. Can't do it sober!"

Hanzo sighed. He looked down knowing there was something on Jesse's mind making him act this way. He thought back to the time Reaper and Sombra captured him. Hanzo could see how that made a dent in Jesse's head, but he also knew that Jesse wasn't an idiot. He knew he couldn't drink away his problems. There was something else. Hanzo grabbed his head. He felt a migraine coming on. He looked up to see McCree already hobbling and tripping over his feet to get around. Just as he was about to fall over, Hanzo grabbed him by the arm and brought him to sit down. McCree began mumbling and laughing a bit.
"Yknow Hanz, I love you."
"You are drunk Jesse."
"Nah, you are." Jesse said pointing to Hanzo's chest.
"Relax McCree, I..."
"Hey we could use some help over here!" An agent called from across the field.
Hanzo quickly stood up.
"I am coming!" Hanzo shouted back.
He looked back down at Jesse.
"Wait here, love." Hanzo said.
He ran over to where the rest of the agents were trying to penetrate the gate. They took the boosters off one of the ships and made something for Reinhardt to put on and ram into the side of the cage. Hanzo helped set the device on his back. Everyone backed up. The booster turned on and Reinhardt flew towards the columns. He hit the cage hard, but his body once again flew into the air, further this time, into the other end of the cage. He grunted in pain and fell to the ground hitting it hard. Everyone quickly rushed over to see if he was ok. A few seconds later he was able to sit up.
"You are going to get yourself killed." Hanzo said sternly.
"Not the first time. And it won't be the last my friend." Reinhardt said weakly. "Hey, where's McCree?"
"On our ship. He's...a bit out of sorts for the time being. You take a break. I must check on Jesse."
But when Hanzo got to the ship Jesse was gone. He looked across the field to see Jesse drunkenly walking across the field to the warehouse. He quickly ran after him. McCree had already made it to the door and quickly hobbled inside.
"Give it up Akande. We are all going to die here if you don't."
"Wait!"
Winston, Angela, and Torbjörn turned to see the sickly McCree coming toward them.
"McCree! I told you to wait outside!"
McCree pushed everyone out of the way.
"Sombra! Tell us how to leave, now!"
"What will you do if I don't?" Sombra said mischievously.
McCree held his gun out. Winston gasped.
"McCree, are you drunk?!"
"You're gonna kill your only way out of here, amigo?"
"Not you." McCree said. "Him."
He aimed his gun at Reaper. Sombra gasped, but laughed a bit.
"You cannot kill him. He's a ghost."
"Not under the influence of electricity. Winston? Fire your Tesla Canon."
Winston stood still for a second. He was confused, but did the math in his head. McCree was right. He took out his Tesla Canon and pulled the trigger. The electronic beams fired out and stunned Reaper. He sat there groaning and twitching in his seat. He couldn't go into his wraith form or move.
"Now, I will shoot him of you don't open the cage." Jesse threatened.
Sombra sat there sternly. She looked at Reaper who was groaning in pain. She grew worried. She finally opened a screen and pushed a few buttons. The alarms blaired across the field and the cage barriers fell down. McCree could hear everyone cheering outside. He twirled his revolver putting it back in it's holster. Hanzo appeared behind them panting.
"Jesse you must stop." He exclaimed. ""You're drunk!"
"I already took care of it darlin'." McCree said. "Oh, but I need to take a seat."
Jesse hobbled into Hanzo's arms. Hanzo kept him from falling to the floor. He chuckled a bit pulling his fingers through Jesse's hair.
"Rest now cowboy. You have done well."
Hanzo could hear a familiar growl behind him. He slowly turned to see Winston gritting his teeth.
"6 month suspension! Both of you! And have fun cleaning bathrooms for the next week as well!" Winston exclaimed.
He turned and walked out. Hanzo sighed.
"Take them to the ship!" Winston yelled.
Hanzo, Torb, and Angela escorted the Talon agents to the ship. McCree did his best to hobble out. Back on the ship he fell asleep.
1 month later...
"I hate sick days. I hate feeling useless. It's also on these days when Jesse takes the time to tease me." Hanzo thought lying in bed.
The door opened and McCree came in.
"Hey Hanz!" Jesse said walking in.
He closed the door and hopped onto the bed with Hanzo.
"Please Jesse, I'm not in the mood."
"Are there clouds in here, cause you seem under the weather!" McCree joked.
Hanzo grumbled closing his eyes.
"Go away!"
"C'mon darlin. Hey, I brought you some green tea."
Hanzo opened his eyes and looked over his shoulder to see Jesse holding a steaming mug. The mug read 'worlds sexiest ninja'. He blushed a bit and took the mug.
"Thankyou."
Hanzo still sat in bed with a stern look on his face.
"Ya still mad at me?" McCree asked.
"No, I could never stay mad at you." Hanzo replied.
"Ah, I think I know what this is about. You're brother joinin' Overwatch."
"I-I don't know what to expect out of him Jesse. I thought he was dead. I wonder if we can learn about each other and become brothers again."
"Well, ya did try and kill him darling. I can understand his frustration, but it sounds like he is joining Overwatch for you. He did say he forgave you right?"
"I suppose you are right."Hanzo said sniffling.
He coughed into his arm.
"That doesn't sound too good Hanz. Drink your tea. I'll go make you some soup." McCree said getting up from the bed.
"Be sure to put in..."
"Chicken dumplings?" McCree asked.
Hanzo smiled and nodded.
"Be right back."
McCree left the room being sure not to make noise when the door shut behind him.

The only things standing in my way are nature itself, a bunch of strange floating boxes, and a group of crazy powerful creatures known as the forest queens. Sounds pretty simple right? And most importantly can I figure out who I am and what's going on? I'm not sure but I'm going to try. Hey everyone I'm fairly new to writing novles and this is my first time ever putting my work on a site like this one. I hope you enjoy the story and would appreciate your feedback. I would ask that you read through at least a couple of chapters before leaving a rating. I know I have some trouble with grammer and how I structure some of my sentences and while feedback on that is appreciated what I would value most is feedback on the story as a whole in terms of how the plot works and if you are enjoying it or not. Most likely, it was just the funniest thing the Author could think of at the time of writing. This book contains many references to other works. It will probably be best enjoyed by individuals familiar with at least some of the following: 1) Computer games2) Fantasy in general3) Science fiction4) Tabletop RPGs5) Conspiracy theories6) Corporation work life7) Long forgotten prophecies uttered millennia ago in almost as forgotten languages under a starless night three dusks before the great convergence8) Filling any government-mandated form9) School10) EnglishMy ultimate goal is to make as many people experience something akin to joy while reading (think ~a bit louder exhale through the nose). It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
