"What do you want mother?" I say as I plop down on the couch across from her.

"I wanted to check up on you. You're my daughter and we barely see each other. I just want to be a good mother. Can you understand that?"

"So are you going to interrogate me or something?" I say as I cross my arms across my chest.

"I don't want to push you so just tell me what you want. Anything will suffice." She says in a weirdly sweet tone.

"I would like to tell you some things but I have an engagement to get to."

"I know you have never favored me. You were always a daddy's girl but he isn't here anymore and we only have each other. Your father wouldn't want us to drift apart."

"Don't talk about him like that. You wouldn't know what he would want. He in fact would want you to leave me alone." A loud crash can be heard from my room and Emma mutters a loud 'Sorry'.

"Who is that?" My mother asks.

"It's just Emma."

"I never liked that girl. She's always been a nuisance and I don't understand why you're still friends with her."

"You can leave now mother." I say and I stand up and walk towards the door. My mother reluctantly gets up from the couch and follows me to the door. I open the door to find Robin.

"I hope I didn't interrupt anything." He says with a smile.

"No, of course not she was just leaving. Bye mother." I say with a fake smile and for once in her life she actually decides to leave me alone.

"Shall we get going?" Robin says as he holds out an arm for me to loop mine with. I loop my arm around his and I give him a small smile.

"We shall." I say and he leads me to the elevator. The usual elevator music was different today and I decide to hum along to the peppy tune.

"You look just like your mother. Although she doesn't have a beautiful smile like you."

"Oh, stop it Robin you such a flatter." The elevator pinged signalling that we reached the lobby.

"I hope you don't mind but I'll be driving to the restaurant." He says as he walks through the lobby and I walk beside him.

"Speaking of the restaurant, where are we going?" I ask and he stops walking. He moves closer to me and leans down until his lips are near my ear.

"It's a surprise." He whispers in my ear. His warm breath touches the skin of my face and sends a chill down my spine. He pulls away with a smile on his face and I can't help but to smile back.

"I'm not a fan of surprises."

"I'm sure you'll love this one. Now, we shouldn't be late for our reservations." He says and he grabs my hand and leads me to his car.

He opens the door for me and motions for me to get in. I take notice to his car and it seems very fancy. Cars have never been my forte but this one is nice. I smile at Robin and slide into the car. He slowly closes the door and walks over to the other side and gets in. He starts the car and begins to drive down the busy streets of NYC.

I stare out the window and look at the sights. People are running around doing all sorts of tasks while managing to keep their eyes glued to their phones. We pass by all types of decorative shops. The sun was looking weirdly brighter than usual and the trees are its usual bright green.

Robin stops at a red light and I can see him staring at me in the corner of my eye. I turn around and stare back at him with a smile on my face.

"Enjoying the view?" I say with a laugh.

"Very much so. You're very beautiful." He says and I laugh again.

"You are doing great for a first date."

"I wasn't aware that this is a date and now that it is I assume there will be more to come." He says with a smirk that shows off his lovely dimples.

"I can't say yet. You could mess up and confess that you're a serial killer or something of that magnitude." I say and we both laugh as Robin starts driving again.

"I promise I'm not a serial killer." We both laugh again.

"We are here!" He says as he parks the car. In my seat I wasn't able to see the sign of the restaurant. Robin gets out the door and opens my door. I step out the car and he puts out a hand for me to take. I gladly take it as I look at the restaurant.

"I hope you like Italian." He says with a smile and I smile back at him. How did he know that I love Italian? Why did he bring me to La Masseria Dei Viniz, one of the most expensive Italian restaurants in NYC?

"I'm impressed. You must have good taste and I wasn't expecting such an elaborate location for lunch."

"When you go out with a beautiful woman you have to take her to the best." He says and I instantly blush at his words.

He smiles and he takes my hand and leads me into the restaurant. He gives the hostess a smile as we walk past her. He leads me to a secluded corner of the restaurant.

"This is amazing." I say quietly as I look around at the room. The chandelier was lit with glowing candles. Candles also surrounded the small table with a velvet tablecloth.

"Have a seat milady." He says as he pulls out a chair for me. I smile at him again and take a seat. He gently pushes the chair closer to the table then he takes a seat across from me.

"Do you come here often because it seems that you know your way around here?"

"My brother owns the place and I come here all the time. He should be here to make his presence known soon." Robin says and he chuckles and he picks up his menu.

I follow suit and grab my menu. I glance over the list of different entrees and various wines. I don't what I want and most of the menu is in a language I can't understand.

"Robin!" A loud voice booms and startles me. I turn around to see a big and burly man who I am assuming is Robin's brother.

"Hello John! This is Regina." Robin says and John looks at me with a smile.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Regina. My name is John and I'm little Robbie's older brother." He says and I laugh as Robin hits his brother in the arm.

"It's nice to meet you John. I hope to see more of you." I say with a smile.

"Likewise milady." John says with a smile then he takes my hand and kisses it softly.

"Goodbye John." Robin says a bit loudly.

"I'll send a waiter over soon. Bye guys!" John says with a wave and then he walks away.

"Your brother is quite the catch." I say with a laugh.

"I know." Robin says as he lets out a breath.

"Are you ready to order?" A waiter says as he walks up to us.

"I'll have the chicken parmesan and I'll like a bottle of the finest red wine." Robin says and the waiter scribbles all of that on his notepad.

"And for the lady?" The waiter asks as he looks at me.

"I'll have the tortellini. Thank you." I say and I hand the waiter my menu.

"Your food should be ready shortly." The waiter say and he disappears into the main room of the restaurant.

"Are you enjoying yourself?" Robin says to me.

"I would say. I'm at a great restaurant with an attractive man. I am enjoying myself."

"I'm glad you're having a good time. Now that we are alone I would like to talk. I want to get to know you."

"My life isn't very interesting. I'm twenty-eight and I live alone in an apartment. My annoying best friend is like a sister to me and she provides great means of support. Also, I work as a high school English teacher which isn't as fun as it sounds." I say with a laugh.

"I would love to find out even more about you." Robin says and his blue-green eyes twinkle in the candle light.

"Maybe you'll find out more on our second date. Now, tell me something about you." I say with a smile.

"I'm thirty and I have a three year old son. He likes to pretend that he is a lawyer like me and it's adorable. At the moment he is with my best friend Will. I feel like Will and your friend Emma will get along just fine." I laugh at the last part then the waiter comes back.

"Your wine sir." He says as he places two glasses on the table. He proceeds to poor an equal amount in both glasses. He sets the bottle on the table and disappears again.

"What does your son look like?" I ask before I take a sip of the visually appealing wine.

"He looks like me but he has his mother's eyes. Roland grew up without her and never had a mother figure in his life. He's a great kid and quite the ladies man."

"I can imagine." I say with a laugh. "I hope to meet him one day."

"He'll love you I'm sure of it. You seem like an easy person to become infatuated with."

"I'm not that easy to like. You can ask anyone."

"If anyone was to ask me I would say I like you."

"Your such a charmer! I'm looking forward to a second date."

"So am I Regina."

The rest of the lunch was fantastic. Robin was a complete gentleman the whole time. Whenever he would say my name it brought shivers down my spine. It alarms me how he could do this so easily but for now I'll let it go.

Robin suggested that we could take a walk in a nearby park. I accepted eagerly not wanting to end this amazing date. We strolled through the park and took notice of the environment.

During the whole walk Robin was by my side. He was standing close to me but I wanted him closer. I find him comforting and I need him around me more often. I made a bold move and grabbed his hand. He took it as a good sign and walked closer to me making a smile appear on both our faces.

Now he was leading me back to the car. He opens the door and I reluctantly let go of his hand and get in. He quickly walks to the other side of the car and gets in.

The traffic wasn't as bad as before and he gets to my apartment building faster then I wanted. He opens the car door and helps me out the car. He offers his hand and I gladly take it. He leads me to the elevator and we ride in complete silence. The elevator dings and he walks me to my apartment.

"I had a great time Robin. I can't wait to do this again."

"Neither can I. You are a really great person and I can't wait to get to know you better."

"Likewise." I say with a smile.

I didn't seem to realize how close we were. His eyes are glued to mine and it seems as if no one else is there. He leans closer to me and I wait in anticipation for his lips to meet mine.

He leans in even closer and looks me in the eyes. After an eternity his warm lips meet mine. His soft and smooth lips send sparks flying. He is amazing and he is perfect for me. His lips leave mine and a smile appears instantly on my face.

"How about dinner tomorrow?" He asks me.

"That'll be great." I say and my voice cracks. I start cursing myself in my head for my uncontrollable voice.

"That was cute. I'll pick you up at seven. Goodbye Regina." He says as he walks down the hallway.

"Goodbye Robin." I whisper. I lean against my apartment door and my fingers touch my lips. I can still feel the electricity from moments ago. Robin Locksley is definitely special.
