Cole stood their frozen in his spot. I'd be shocked too if I were in his situation. I beckoned him to come closer. He hesitantly took a few steps forward.

"Robin made me a deal that...he won't tell anyone I'm here if I..." I take a deep breath before continuing.

"If I give...us a second chance...give our relationship a second chance." I say. I look up to see Cole's reaction. I expected him to be shocked or happy that I was giving him a chance, but that wasn't the case. He was frowning and shaking his head.

"As much as I would love for you to give us a second chance, I don't want you to do it because of a deal. I want to earn your trust back. I want to earn your love back. I want to prove to you that I really do love you, and I'm not giving up on us. If you're not ready to be with me yet, that's okay. I'll wait. I'll wait for you even if it takes my whole life."

I smile lightly at his words. He always knows how to make me smile.

"So...I guess ,for now, we're friends?" He looked a little pained saying that. I didn't want to cause him any more pain, so I agreed.

"Friends." I nod my head. He grins and gives me a long hug. He buries his head on the crook of my neck.

"I missed you so much." He whispers

"I missed you too...I've been missing you for months now." I whisper back

"I'm sorry Lex...I'm so so SO sorry. I'm such an idiot. I'm an asshole. I'm a dickhead. I'm a fucktar. I fucked up. I'm so sorry" he starts crying

"Yeah well you definitely are all those things." I try to lighten the mood. It works cause he gives a little chuckle

"But I forgive you...I forgave you as soon as I felt like I wasn't gonna make it." I chuckled

"What do you mean? And actually why are you in the hospital?" He pulls away and looks at me in confusion.

"Damn...I just noticed how bad you actually look..." i murmured

"Your hair is all messy, your eyes are bloodshot red, you've gotten a lot skinnier, and you have these terrible dark under eyes." I point out

"Yeah. Thanks. Now stop trying to change the topic." He says

"It's-"

I was interrupted by Robin coming in with the police and the rest of our friends.

"Good Afternoon, Miss Brians" One of the officer smiles

"Good Afternoon, Bobby!! Hello Marvin!!!" I grin at the two officers I've come to know

"How are you doing ma'am?" Marvin asks

"Better than before" I shrug

"That's good."

"What have you got for us today?" Robin says. He stands by my side like always whenever we receive news.

" Well,as always, we are doing the best we can to catch these guys. We wanted to inform you that we suggest you live in a safer place. They tried breaking in your apartment, but luckily the maid saw them senak in and called the security right away." They explained

"Did they do anything to the apartment?"I ask in worry

"Fortunately they didn't do anything, but you're still not safe."

"Wait wait wait. Safe? Safe from what? What happened? Why is my sister in the hospital? Why is there police guarding her room? What is going on?!" Brian asks all these questions. My hands start shaking, and I shut my eyes tightly to block the memories. Robin wraps his arms around me and tried to calm me down.

"You want me to tell them?" He asks.

"Y-yeah..." I whisper. He nods and hands me his phone and headphones. I put it on and play the music. My arms were crossed over my chest, and my legs were tightly closed together. I drowned myself in music, and soon fell asleep.
