"Soo...Lex..." I speak up
We were watching Mission Impossible and I've been dying to ask Lex the question already. I put the plate of cookies down, paused the movie and faced her. She looked at me and cocked her head to the side.
"I uhm...I know this isn't the perfect way to ask you but I just can't wait and I thought that it'd be a great time but now that I think about it you're probably tired and you might want some rest tomorrow-" she cuts off my rambling
"Spit it out Cole."
"I'vehadahugecrushonyouforawhilenowandIwaswonderingifyoucouldgoonadatewithmetomorrow" I say. More like rap.
"Slowly. Jeez are you Eminem in disguise?" She chuckles. I take a deep breath and speak slower.
"I've had a huge crush on you for a while now and I was wondering if you'd...go ona a date with me?" I ask nervously
"Only if you want. You don't have to feel like you have to say yes." I quickly say.
My fingers suddenly look so interesting. Damn I haven't cut my nails in a long time.
Speaking of fingers, one pokes my cheek. I look up and see Lexi smiling widely.
"Of course I'll go on a date with you idiot." She says
"Really?!?!" I exclaims
"You don't want me to?" She playfully glares at me. I ignore that and pick her up. I hug her so tightly and spin her around.
"THANK YOU!!!!! YOU WONT REGRET IT. I PROMISE." I yell. She laughs and nods
"I'm pretty sure I won't." She says
I finally calm down after a while but I still don't let her out of my arms. She snuggles into me.
"I didn't know you actually liked me." I say
"Are kidding me?! After everything you've done for me...how can I not? You've been nothing but sweet, kind and caring ever since I helped you with your asthma attack." She says

"I'm kinda glad we just randomly got into that huge fight that day. I almost died, but it's what brought us together." I say
"What I don't get is why you like ME of all people." She says as if it was the biggest mystery in the world.
"Well...you're the only one who really cares for me. Someone who doesn't want me for my money or for my looks. You genuinely care. I trust you more than I trust myself. You've helped me through a lot of shit. I guess what I really like about you is the fact that you make me smile. You're the only one who can make me smile widely and happily. Not a forced smile or a cocky smirk or a cheeky grin or a flirting smirk, but a real, happy and genuine smile" I say
"Same here...I never would have thought that the reason I smile is because of my enemy." She chuckles
"And you know what?" I say
"What?"
"The fact that you're beautiful and gorgeous is a huge bonus point for me" I grin
"Oh shut up" she blushes
"Okay. Okay. It's time for bed then." I say
She and I stand up and we both make our way up the stairs. We were about to part ways to our rooms but I grab her hand and pull her toward me.
"And where do you think you're going?" I raise an eyebrow at her
"To my room." She answers
"Nuh uh. You've been gone for so longg. You're staying with me tonight. " I say. Before she could even protest, I scooped her uo and carried her into my room. I plopped her down on my bed and got in with her.
Now I'm the type of guy who sleeps half naked, but I don't think Lex will be comfortable with that so I guess it's fully clothed tonight.

She cuddles into me and I smile at the feeling. She's so small in my arms. It's like a perfect fit.

Robin's words ring in my head. Flashbacks come back and I feel myself tense up. Lex turns around and looks at me worried.
"Are you okay? What happened?" She asks. My anger immediately melts once I hear her voice. I sigh deeply and shake me head.
"Don't worry. It's nothing important. I just...thought of something I don't like." I say
"Wanna talk about it?" She asks softly
"Maybe next time."
She sighs, but nods either way. She wraps her arms around me and hugs me. I was no longer tense.
