"So Brent said that he didn't send them?" Anna asked me through the phone.

"Yes he said that the flowers didn't come from him. He said Clary sent them to scare me because she didn't make the soccer team," I said, looking through my closet.

"But you don't believe that," Anna finished for me.

"I don't know. It's just Malcom is out, and what if he found where I'm located. That could put-.." I started but she cut me off.

"All of us in danger, I know. Look there is no possible way for him to find you, and if he did, he can't leave California without being arrested."

"Your right. It's just every day I plan on having a great day, and then I remember that a crazy psycho is out there planning to kill me," I said, looking through my shirts.

"Well I would say I understand, but I would be lying. I'm sorry, Campbell."

"It's not your fault. I got to go. I have to find an outfit for the game and the club," I said, walking to the other side of my closet.

"Believe me, I feel your pain. I can't find anything to wear either," Anna said.

"I'll see you at the game."

"See you then."

I hung the phone up, and I picked out an outfit to wear. I chose a peach color sweater, a pair of regular blue jeans, and my white Vans. After I changed into the outfit, I straightened my hair. Then I put on some mascara and some lip balm before moving onto my accessories.

I put on the necklace Brent bought me, and a white wool beanie. I sprayed some perfume on me before grabbing my things. Lastly I exited my room, and I walked downstairs.

The only people here besides me is Micheal, Ross, and Lisa. Winter was laying the couch beside Micheal, who was playing COD.

"Nice shot," I said, sitting next to him.

"Wanna play?" Micheal asked me, handing me a controller.

"Sure," I replied, grabbing the controller from him.

We played COD for half and hour before Lisa told us we had five minutes before we had to go.

"I got to use the restroom. I'll be back in a minute," Micheal said, running upstairs.

Micheal's phone started to ring a few minutes after he left. I flipped the phone over to see it was somebody named Jordan.

"Micheal! Jordan is calling you," I yelled for Micheal.

"I'm coming!" He yelled back, and I heard his footsteps running down the stairs.

I handed him his phone, and he answered it. He had a smile on his face the whole time he was talking to the other person on the other line.

"Bye, Jordan," Micheal said as we were walking out to the car.

When we got into the vehicle, I snapped my head to look at Micheal. He looked away from the window, and he age me a weird look.

"What? You look like you're having heart attack," Micheal said, causally.

"Who's Jordan?" I asked him, raising an eyebrow.

"She's one of my friends," He said as I squealed.

"She?!"

"Yes. You do know that I have friends that girls too, right?" Micheal asked, tilting his head.

"Friends, huh? That is what I said about me and Brent," I said, looking out the window.

"Well Brent was head over heels in love with you the first time you guys met."

"He was not," I said, looking back at Micheal.

"Maybe he was maybe he wasn't, but I know one thing for sure," Micheal said, before continuing,"He's in love with you."

"In love with me? Yeah, right," I said, waving him off.

"Okay, but when he tells you, I'm going to brag," Micheals aid before playing a game on his phone.

Was Brent in love with me?

"Get the ball!" Elliot yelled, sitting next to Anna who was sitting next to me.

Gavin grabbed the ball, and he passed it to another player right before he was blocked.

The player passed the ball to Nick, who threw it in the goal. We stood up, and we cheered loudly.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Martha and Vanessa cheering too. I didn't even know they were here. Then Xavier and Mr. Mason sat down beside Martha.

"I'll be right back," I told Lisa after we sat back down.

"Okay, sweetie," she replied.

I walked down the bleachers towards them, and I smiled at them.

"Campwell!" Vanessa exclaimed when she saw me. She ran up to me, and she hugged me.

"Hi, Nessa," I told her after we broke apart.

"Did you get my cawd because I swear I'll give Breny a -..." she said, but I cut her off.

"He did. Thank you. I love it," I said, smiling brightly.

"Happy birthday dear," Martha said, hugging me.

"Thank you," I replied, hugging her back.

"So you have plans for tonight?" Mr. Mason asked me.

"Yes sir. We are going to the Hangout tonight."

"That's cool. Have fun," he replied before looking back on the field.

"Campbell!" I heard Micheal yell.

"Um, I have to go, but it's nice seeing you guys again," I told them.

"You too sweetie. Have fun tonight," Martha said before I walked back over to Micheal.

He gestured me to sit down beside him, so I did. He kept bouncing his leg, which he never does.

"What's up?" I asked him.

He took a deep breath,"Jordan is here."

"Oooh. Where is she at?" I asked him, looking around.

"The girl in the pink," he told me as I saw her.

"Why aren't you talking to her already?" I asked him.

"Because I'm scared. What are we suppose to talk about anyways?" He asked, nervously.

"Don't be scared. You are smart, handsome, and pretty amazing, and if she can't see that then she is missing out. And for the talking part, we are at a lacrosse game."

He nodded his head,"You're right. Thank you Campbell," he told me, giving me a hug.

"Anytime, dude," I replied, hugging him back.

"You're the best sister ever," Micheal said, with a smile, before running over to Jordan.

I smiled to myself as the announcer yelled that Brent Mason scored a goal. I stood up, and I cheered loudly. He saw me, and blew a kiss at me.

I blew him one back before sitting back down. For once I'm actually enjoying my birthday.

We all agreed that after the game we would go home and get ourselves ready for the club. That's what we are doing right now.

"Knock, knock," Lisa said, knocking on my open door.

I stepped out of my closet to see her, holding a gray box with a white ribbon on it. She smiled, handing me the box.

"This is one of your gifts. I thought you might want to wear it tonight," Lisa explained before I opened it.

I lifted the lid to see was a dress. I pulled it out of the box to examine it. It was white and sparkly. The sleeve were long and puffy. It was beautiful.

"I love it. It's beautiful," I told Lisa.

"I knew you would love it. When I saw it in the store, it had your name written all over it," Lisa said, sitting beside me.

"Thank you," I told her.

"Your welcome. Now go try it on. There are silver heels that match it too," Lisa said with a huge smile.

I nodded before walking into my bathroom to change. I shut the door, locking it, before stripping from my clothes. I stepped into the dress, and I changed into it. I zipped the dress up before walking out of my room to show Lisa.

"You look gorgeous!" Lisa commented as I spun around.

"Thank you."

"Now let's get your hair done. I plugged up the curling iron while you were changing."

I sat down at my desk, and she started to curl my hair. Then she went on to do my makeup which only included foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, mascara, and lipstick.

By the time I was done, everybody was here, waiting downstairs for me. I put my heels on my feet as Lisa added finishing touches to my hair. She handed me a little glittery purse with my phone in it.

"Alright. Now look in the mirror," she said, spinning me around to my body mirror.

I gasped at how stunning I looked. The dress can mid thigh, and it went around my neck. My makeup was all natural, and my hair added more texture to my outfit. The heels made me stand taller, but I knew I still be short against Brent and the boys.

"You ready?" Lisa asked, opening my door.

"Yeah. Let's go show off your amazing work," I said with a huge grin.

"Before we go down there, I want you to know something," Lisa said, stopping in front of the door.

"What?"

"I love you, Campbell. We all do," Lisa said.

"I love you too," I replied.

Lisa wipes away a few stray tears before saying,"Let's go."

We hooked our arms before walking out of my room. We walked downstairs where the chatter died down when everybody saw me.

"Hot damn!" Nichole exclaimed, making everybody chuckle.

Brent walked over to me, and he kissed me. "You look drop dead gorgeous Princess."

"Thank you," I replied as he wrapped an arm around my waist.

I looked at the girls' dresses in awe. Madison was wearing a mid thigh pink dress with thin straps. Her natural curly hair was straightened, and she was wearing black heels.

Nichole was wearing a two piece black dress witch glitter on the top, and black heels. She kept her hair straight, and she was wearing a smokey eye makeup.

Anna was wearing a silver dress with long sleeves. Her red curly hair was in its natural state, and her makeup matched her dress.

Lastly, Hailey was wearing a dark red dress with no straps. She wore dark red pumps with bold makeup. Her long black hair was straightened.

"Y'all look so beautiful," I complimented the girls.

"Thank you," they replied.

"Come on let's go party," Micheal exclaimed.

"You guys gone on ahead. Ross and I will be right behind you," Lisa said, eyeing the boys.

They nodded before putting a smile on their faces.

"Okay," I said as we headed out of the door.

When we got outside, Brent led me to his car. He opened the door, and I got into the passenger seat. He shut the door before going to his door.

When he started the car, I said,"You know you don't have to open the door for me every time I get into your car."

He shrugged,"I like too. Plus today is your birthday."

I noticed his outfit, and holy smokes he was hot. He was wearing a dark red button down shirt with black jeans. His blonde hair was spiked up like usual, and he smelled minty.

Brent held my hand as he drove towards the Hangout.

"So for your birthday present, I need you to be up at 5:45 tomorrow morning all ready to go," Brent said, causally.

"What on earth are we doing at 5:45 in the morning?" I asked him.

"That's for me to know, and you to find out tomorrow," he replied with a playful smile.

"Fine I'll be ready," I promised him.

We drove for thirty minutes until we spotted a building with a huge yellow and red neon light saying The Hangout. Brent parked his car in the parking lot, which is almost packed, before we got out of the car.

Brent enlaced his fingers with mine as we walked towards the door. I saw Anna's car and Nick's car, so everybody is here.

"Name?" The guy out front asked.

"Campbell West and Brent Mason," Brent answered as the guy checked the list.

"Go on in," he replied as he opened the door for us.

The first thing I saw when we walked in was the people. They was a lot of people, but I easily spotted the group.

There was several booths with tables with them scattered around the building. Then in the middle is the dance floor where everybody was dancing to some pop song. On their side of the room is a place where you can get drinks, non alcohol of course.

"There you guys are. Come dance, Campbell," Madison begged.

I looked at Brent, and he said,"Go on. I'll go get us some drinks."

"Ok," I said before Madison dragged me away to the dance floor.

She dragged me over to Nichole, Hailey, and Anna. We started to dance along with the music. By the time the song was over, I was out of breath.

"Here you go, Princess," Brent said, handing me a cup filled with Coca-Cola.

"Thank you," I replied before drinking the whole cup.

I threw the cup into the trash can before I gave Brent the puppy eyes.

"Come dance with me," I said, tugging on his arm.

"Of course I will. If I recall, you were the one who didn't like dancing," Brent said as I remember the party. Our first kiss.

"I guess the Brent Effect is working on me," I told him, leading him to the dance floor.

Brent and I danced for a couple of songs before Lisa and Ross came to get the group together.

"Campbell, we wanted to get this gift to you first," Ross said, handing me a rectangular box. It was just a regular white box, and I lifted the lid to see it was the yellow envelop from the car earlier.

I raised my eyebrows, and I opened up the envelope to see it was a packet of papers. I pulled the papers out of the envelope, and I held them in my hands.

But it was the top bold title that surprised me even more.
