《Foster Brothers | COMPLETED》Ch. 19 - Gaberial's Secret

"I have to go," Gaberial said, looking up from his phone.
He stood up, and he walked off from the lunch table before we could say anything.
"That was really weird," Nichole said before taking a bite of her burger.
"He's been like that lately. One day, he was rushing us to get ready. The whole ride there, he couldn't hold his exictement," Elliot said, referring to the day Gaberial was calling Elliot an old man.
"Probably sports related," Gavin suggested, but he wasn't looking at anybody.
The bell rung, and we threw away our trash before heading to our classes. I walked to my locker, and Brent followed me.
"Campbell, I wanted to ask you something," Brent said, nervously.
"Sure. What's up?" I asked him, exchanging textbooks.
"So, I know that you're coming Friday night to the game," he started, and I nodded. "My parents are staying in town for a while, and I wanted to see if you had any plans for Saturday?"
"No, I don't," I replied, shaking my head slowly.
"That's great. Um..well.." He stumbled over his words.
I smiled at how cute he looks right now. "Brent, what are you going to ask me?"
"Will you go out with me Saturday night? If you don't, it's completely fine. I understand it's only been a month.." He trailed off.
I was shocked. Brent Mason is asking me out on a date.
"Brent," I said, making him stop talking,"I would love to."
"But...." He said, making me confused.
"There is no buts. I want to go out with you Saturday night," I said.
"Oh thank God. I thought you were about to say no," he said with a laugh.
"I would never."
There was nobody on the stairs, and Brent noticed that, too. He kissed my cheek before we made our way to our class with our hands still entact with each other.

"Psst! Campbell!" Somebody whispered, waking me up.
"Leave me alone," I said, trying to go back to sleep.

Next thing I know, the warm blanket was thrown off of me. I scrunched up my nose, and I sat up, looking at the blanket theif. Gavin was standing next to my bed with my blanket beside him.
"What the hell, Gavin?" I exclaimed, throwing my hands up in the air.
"I need your help," he said with a pleading look on his face.
"With what?" I asked, rubbing my eyes.
"Gaberial. He's keeping something from me. I need you to help me find out what it is."
I sighed,"I'll help you, but do not wake me up at 5:30, again, okay?"
He nodded,"Yeah. Sorry about that. I needed to speak with you alone."
"It's whatever. Excuse me, but I want to go back to sleep," I said with a yawn.
I reached out for my blanket, but he didn't hand it to me.
"About that, I need you to get ready now. Gaberial told me he was leaving early for school. He'll be gone by 7," Gavin said with a sheepishly smile.
"I'll get up," I replied, standing out of the bed.
"Thank you, again, Campbell," Gavin thanked me.
"No problem."
He walked out of my room, and I was left alone. I had time to take a shower, so that was the first thing I did. Then I changed into a black crop top, a pair of dark blue jeans, and a dark orange cardigan.
I blow dried my hair, and I pulled it into a braid. I grabbed my white converses, slipping them on my feet. Lastly, I sprayed some perfume on my clothes before checking the time.
6:50 a.m.
Somebody knocked on my door, and I knew it was Gavin. I opened the door, and he was standing there, dressed. Nick was standing behind him, also dressed.
"I got us a driver," Gavin said, slinging his arm around Nick.
"I'm only doing this because you promised food," Nick said, pointing at Gavin.
"Yeah, yeah. Gaberial left a few minutes ago, so we need to hurry," Gavin said, checking the time.

I grabbed my bag and my phone before following them downstairs. Ross and Lisa were up, getting ready for today.
"Where are you three going so early?" Lisa asked, putting her earring in her ear.
"To school," Gavin replied.
"Okay. Be safe," Lisa said with a smile.
We walked outside to Nick's car, and I sat in the back. We stopped by McDonald's for food since that is what Gavin promised Nick if he drove us.
After our quick stop, we drove to the school where Gaberial was suppose to be at. Nick parked his car under a tree.
"I don't think we should do this. It's invading his privacy," I said, suddenly.
"It's not invading his privacy. We are just going to school an hour early," Nick said, waving it away.
"Look, I don't want to do this either, but he won't talk to me. I'm just trying to make sure he's okay," Gavin said, looking back at me.
I huffed,"Fine."
We sat there for a couple of minutes, waiting for Nick to finish his McGriddle. Once he was done, Gavin went over the plan.
"Here," he said, handing me a walkie-talkie.
I looked at it before looking at him."Why do I need this?"
"So you can contact us if you see him," Gavin said, handing Nick one.
"Isn't that what phones are for?" I asked him.
"Yeah, but walkie talkies are the official thing. We are official spies," Nick said.
"We need a name. What about The Three Musketeers?" Gavin asked.
"Sounds great to me," I replied, getting my stuff.
"Okay. You're shortstuff," Nick said, pointing at me. "You're dimples, and I'm hotstuff."
Gavin and I raised out eyebrows before looking at each other. Then we bust out laughing.
"What? It's the truth," Nick defended himself.
"Yeah, yeah. Campbell, you can go in now," Gavin said, wiping tears from his eyes from laughing.
I grabbed my stuff before disappearing into the school building. There was a few people here, but majority of them were staff.
Once I put my bag in my locker, I made my way upstairs. Most of the classrooms were locked and the lights were off. It looked like a horror movie.
I clicked the button so the boys could hear me.
"Guys, I don't think this is a great idea. Upstairs looks like it can out of a horror movie, and I don't like horror movies," I whispered into the walkie talkie.
"Campbell-..." Gavin started but Nick interrupted him.
"It's shortstuff, dimples," Nick said.
"My bad. You'll be fine, shortstuff," Gavin assured me.
"Well, guys, I don't see anybody. Everything is locked and the lights are off," I said, looking around.
"I'm heading to the cafeteria," Nick said.
"And I'm downstairs. About to head to the library," Gavin said before adding,"Nick, you better be looking not stuffing your face with food."
"Pshh! Me. Never! And it's hotsuff!" Nick exclaimed.
"I'm not calling you that," Gavin said.
"Yes, you are. That my code name, dimples!"
They started to bicker, and I rolled my eyes.
"Guys, stop before I hunt you down and throw you in the pool!"
"Yes, shortstuff!" Nick said, and I could see him in my head with a salute position.
I laughed before speaking into the walkie talkie,"I'm going to the courtyard."
I walked downstairs, and I walked out the double doors. I haven't really had time to sit in the courtyard, but it was beautiful.
There was a pond filled with fish, bench tables, and beautiful flowers all around it. I could definitely read a book out here.
I heard laughter coming from that way, so I walked slowly over to tables.
And that's when I saw Gaberial, but he wasn't alone.
There was a girl with him.
I wouldn't thought anything about it, but then the girl leaned in, and kissed his cheek.
Gaberial had a girlfriend!
