"Let's go boys!" Madison screamed, jumping up and down.

Gavin's letterman jacket was tied around her waist because it kept getting in the way of her jumping up and down.

I was clapping my hands and cheering. Lisa, Ross, Michael, and Vanessa were sitting next to us.

"Do you think I should scream louder? I don't think they can hear me," Madison said, putting her hands on her hips.

"Believe me, I think China can hear you," Nichole answered, and Madison threw a piece of candy at her.

"Where's Breny?" Vanessa asked, looking for her brother.

"He's right there. The one in the back," Michael told her, pointing to Brent.

"Go Breny!" She screamed, and we laughed.

I looked at the field to see Brent looking at Vanessa, but he caught me looking at him. He smiled and waved.

I smiled and waved back. Lisa scooted closer to me.

"You seen more comfortable with Brent now, huh?" she whispered, looking at Brent's letterman jacket.

"Yes, he's actually pretty cool," I replied.

"I'm glad you're feeling welcomed here," she said with a smile.

"Brent Mason just scored a touchdown, ladies and gentleman!" the announcer yelled in the mircophone.

"Wooh!" We screamed.

Let's go boys.

"I'm going to grab a hot chocolate. Do you guys want anything?" I asked everybody.

They shook their heads no, and I walked down the blenchers. I walked to the concession stand, where a girl with short blue hair worked.

She doesn't look like she wants to be here. I walked up to her with a smile on my face.

"Hi, can I get a small hot chocolate," I asked her.

"Sure, two dollars," she said, taking my money.

She walked towards the back of the stand, and she poured my hot chocolate in a foam cup. She handed me a straw with the cup.

"Thank you," I told her.

I turned around, and I almost ran into someone.

"I'm sorry," I apologized, and the person turned around.

It was Clary. Her red hair was pulled up in a high ponytail, and she narrowed her eyes at me. She has in her cheer uniform which was gray and white.

I noticed a brown headed girl behind her.

"It's- oh, it's you," she said, crossing her hands across her chest.

"Ta-da," I joked, but she didn't seem amused.

"I'm going to get to the point. Stay away from Brent if you know what's good for you," she threatened.

I was taken back from what she said. "I'm sorry, what?"

She step closer to me. "I said to stay away from Brent. He's mine, not yours."

I let out a laugh. Was this girl serious?

"What's so funny?" She asked, pursing her lips.

"Brent and I are just friends. Nothing more. He's all yours," I told her, truthfully.

"It better stay that way," she warned.

She walked away, and I rolled my eyes.

Girls nowdays.

I walked back to the group, and I sat down by Vanessa. She was eating some sour punch straws.

"Do you want one?" She asked me, gesturing her candy.

"Sure," I replied, grabbing one of the straws.

My phone start to ring, and I pulled it out to see it was Rachel. I slid the phone button to the side, and I placed it to my ear.

"It's Rachel. I'll be right back," I whispered to Lisa, and she nodded.

I walked down the bleachers, and I heard Rachel talking to somebody else on the other line.

"Rachel?" I asked her when I got away from the game.

Nobody was here, and it was really quiet.

"Campbell, I have some news I need to tell you," she said, and it didn't sound like good news.

"Okay...." I drawled out, confused.

"I know that the police already took your statement, but they need you to testify againist Malcolm in court within the next couple months," she told me, and I felt sick.

"I-I thought the statement was enough, and the evidence. W-What if I don't testify?" I asked her.

"Campbell, if you don't testify againist him, he will get out of prison within a few months, maybe a year. I know that you don't want to testify, but he needs to put away. Away from you," she explained.

I stayed silent for a minute before saying,"When is the court date?"

"February 12. They can't do it with Thanksgiving and Christmas coming up. I tried to get it push off, so you can get comfortable where you are at, but they won't budge."

"Will Malcolm be in jail, or will he be released?" I asked her, scared that he will come looking for me.

"Well, his bail is 1500 dollars, and I don't think anybody is going to bail him out. He will not get released and I will make sure of it. He will be held at the county prison until the court," she said.

I took a deep breath,"Alright."

"I'm sorry that you have to testify, but he will go to prison for what he did to you."

"I know. I have to go, but I'll call you if I need anything," I told her.

"Okay, bye," she told me, and she hanged up.

As soon as she hanged up, I race to the nearest bush. I threw up whatever was in my stomach.

After I was done, I wiped my mouth. My hands were shaking, and my heart beat was beating quickly.

I sat down on the grass, and I brought my knees up to my chest. I laid my head on my knees, and I closed my eyes.

I was going to testify againist Malcolm.

Three months. Three months might seem far, but it will be here in a blink of an eye.

Am I ready to face Malcolm that soon?

I stayed there for about fourty minutes before I decided to walk back to the football game.

Once I sat back down, Lisa asked me multiple questions about where I have been, and what was the phone call about.

I told her that I didn't feel well, so I took a walk, and it was just a check up from Rachel. She didn't believe me, but she left me alone about it.

I hate lying to her, but I don't want her to freak out about this. I'll tell her when it comes closer.

One hour later, we were waiting on the boys. The ended up winning the game by six points, and our side was cheered when they scored the last touchdown. They came out one by one, Brent being the last.

He came over to me when everybody else was talking.

"You still up for tonight?" He asked me with a bright smile.

"Um, would it be okay if we could do it later this week? I'm not feeling so good," I told him, feeling guilty.

His smile went down a bit, but rose back up in a second. "Raincheck, then?"

"Raincheck," I replied with a small smile.

"I'll see you tomorrow?" He asked, putting his hands in his pockets.

"Sure, I'll be at the house. You can bring Vanessa, too," I said, nodding my head.

"Okay, by the way, you look nice in my jacket," he complimented me.

I looked down to realize that I was still in his jacket.

"Oh, thank you. Here," I said, taking it off, but he stopped me.

"Keep it tonight. I'll get it tomorrow," he said, putting it back on me.

"You never told me why your jacket is so special," I reminded him.

He shrugged his shoulders,"I'll tell you when football season is over, or else it's bad luck."

I bit my lower lip. "Okay, but I will be asking you at every game."

He laughed, and nodded.

I didn't realize that everybody was waiting on us. My cheeks turned a little bit pink, but I looked down.

"Since you two lovebirds are done, let's go home," Gaberial said, and Lisa nudged him in the ribs.

"Gaberial, shh!" She whispered, but we all heard her.

Everybody laughed, and we started to load up.

"Good night, Campbell," Brent said, after putting a sleepy Vanessa in her car seat.

"Good night, Brent," I replied.

That night I started to have nightmares, so I put his jacket on. I climbed into bed, and I wrapped it around me.

And it was the best night of sleep I ever had.
