"Oh my god, this is delicious!" You shout, digging into a large drumstick. It's been so long since you had proper food, you were so happy to be able to eat a normal meal. Jungkook shoves his mouth full of mash potatoes, nodding, "I know right! This shit is the fucking best!"

You were all sitting around a wooden table, eating. You close your eyes, mumbling, "Mizuki, you've been staring at me for the past fifteen minutes. What is it?" It was true, Mizuki, who was sitting on your right, had been staring at you with a dazed look in his eyes, his chin resting on his palm. He shrugs, "It's just weird to see the girl that Master fell in love with. I always assumed you'd be kinda different."

You pop a French fry in your mouth, dusting your hands before saying, "Different how?"

Mizuki smiles, looking at Kai and intentionally raising his voice so he would be able to hear him, "Boring. Stuck up. Rude. Mean. Did I mention boring?"

Kai flinches, anger radiating from his pupils as he stands up, "Mizuki!"

Mizuki chuckles, waving his arm around, "Chill out, we're not talking about you!"

"He is!" You shout, smiling when seeing Mizuki glare at you with a look of betrayal on his face. Kai rolls his eyes before sitting back down and taking a sip of his drink. You chuckle, chewing on some more French fries before turning to look at Jungkook, who was intensely staring at Mizuki. You smile, "Jungkook, stop."

He pouts, "I just think it's unfair that he gets to sit next to you while I'm stuck with this moron!" He points at Kai, who hits his fist on the table, screaming, "Is it National 'Insult Kai Day' or what?!"

You laugh, mood finally happy after a long time. Everything finally felt normal to you, and you couldn't help but smile wider and wider each passing second. Jungkook notices this, reaching his hand across the table and setting it on yours. He smiles at you, "I love seeing a smile on your face."

You chuckle, grabbing his hand with both of your hands and beginning to play with it. You rub the ring on his index finger, analysing the patterns on it, "This ring is pretty." You mumble, eyes glazing over. It was a thick black ring with silver accents around it.

Jungkook tilts his head to the side, pulling his hand back and staring at it, "Really? It looks pretty ordinary to me." He then takes it off of his finger, pulling your left hand close and sliding it onto your middle finger. You laugh, seeing the ring drape over it, not fitting perfectly, "It's huge for me!"

Jungkook nods, chuckling. He then takes it off, putting it on your thumb instead. "It fits much better here," He says, eyeing the way it looked on your hand. He speaks again, "Keep it."

You shake your head, "No way, this is yours."

Jungkook copies your action, shaking his head and going back to his food. "It's yours now."

"Okay, now that we're done eating, let's talk about the plan, shall we?" Kai says, standing up and signalling everyone in the large room to look at him. All the guards turn their heads around, waiting for their boss to give them an order.

Kai walks over to a table in the middle of the room before standing on top of it, eyeing everyone. He begins to speak in a loud, firm voice, "It feels like almost yesterday I was taken away from this place, but it has been almost two weeks since that incident. Know one thing, those people...," He points towards the table where you, Jungkook and Bruno were sitting, "...are not the enemy here. The enemies are creatures, with black eyes and layers of sharp teeth. They may appear human but they most definitely are not."

He pauses to take a deep breath, shutting his eyes for a mere split second before reopening them.

He continues, "My father is dead."

Gasps are heard from the guards as Mizuki stands up from the table, slamming his fist down on it hard. He looks at Kai, pupils displaying a dark look, before mumbling, "The Chairman... is dead?"

Kai nods, staring at his feet. Mizuki visibly shakes with anger, jaw clenching, "Who the fuck killed him?"

Kai sighs, looking up, "He killed himself."

More gasps are heard as Mizuki's eyes widen. His fists unclench as he shakes his head, disbelief lacing his features, "No... No way."

Kai nods, yet again, "I hate to admit it, but yes, he did. He left us one mission; to defeat these evil creatures and take back our power! So, for the sake of my father..." Kai visibly seems to shake, gulping, "...For the sake of my father, are you willing to help me?"

All the guards stand up, shouting,

"Hell yes!"

"Let's fucking go!"

"Of course!"

Kai smiles softly before signalling them to sit back down. "From now on," He says, "You not only serve me, but those three as well! Kim Y/N, Jeon Jungkook and Bruno are our allies and are also in charge here! Treat them with respect. As always, Mizuki, you're in charge of the plan."
