We expected something big, like an explosion, or some alien type shit.

What we did not expect was a hologram to pop up from the small object.

When Bruno had pressed the button, Jungkook had screamed. He stepped back from the table immediately, knocking his chair down in the process.

There was a small "beep", and then a green tinted hologram popped out.

Jungkook picked his chair up, and sat back down, leaning forwards.

I stared at the hologram, "Say 'Continue' to hear the full message." I pause, blinking. I look up, "That's what it says."

Jungkook raises an eyebrow. "Continue."

'Access granted.'

Jungkook slides his chair next to me, on the left, to get a better view. Bruno climbs on the table and sits on my right.

The hologram displays flashing images of different houses, all around the country, and even out of it.

Jungkook speaks up, "Wait. That was my Aunt's old house in America."

I freeze, pointing. "That was my mother's bungalow in Gwangju!"

Jungkook tilts his head. "Half of these houses I've seen before; they belong to my relatives, or are places that once belonged to my family."

I gulp. "It's the same with me. Almost half of these houses belong to my family, or did once. This is mind blowing."

A robotic voice speaks,

'Recognise these houses? Well done. This is your first checkpoint.'

The hologram displays a picture of my mother's bungalow in Gwangju.

'Your task is to go here. If all goes well for you, you shall not need to go anywhere else. You have all you need. You have the brains, Jeon Jungkook.'

Jungkook's eyes widen.

'You have the weaponry and the armour, Bruno.'

Bruno barks.

'And most of all, you have the heart of the team, Y/N.'

I widen my eyes. "What the fuck?"

'Your mission begins now. You have one week to arrive at the bungalow, where your second key shall be waiting. If something goes wrong along the way, upon arriving, you will not find the second key. Then you will be sent to a different location. Good luck, team. It is up to you to find out what happened in September.'

The hologram shuts off, and the key remains on the table.

I blink. "What. Just. Happened."

Jungkook stands up. "I think.. we have to go to Gwangju?"

"That's on the other side of Korea!" I shout, standing up as well.

Bruno tilts his head to the side. "I'm still confused. They said I have weapons and armour? Since when?"

I nod. "They called me the heart of the team. I have no idea what that's supposed to mean."

Jungkook shakes his head. "We have one week. What day is it today?"

"It's Monday."

Jungkook nods, hands rubbing together. He moves to pick up the key from the table and shoves it in his pocket. "Till next Monday. Okay."

And with these words, Jungkook walks back out the living room.

Bruno and I follow close behind, until he leaves the house.

Bruno truts out the front door, and I leave after him, shutting the door behind me.

I yell, "Stop! Where are we going?"

Jungkook stops in his path, turning around to look at me, "To pack?"

I scoff, walking up to Jungkook until I'm stood in front of him. "What? We're actually going to Gwangju?"

Jungkook puts his hands on his hips. "We don't have much of a choice, now do we? We have to find Jin Hyung and Lisa and everyone else."

I groan. "But Gwangju is so far away!"

Jungkook shakes his head. "It doesn't matter. We're going, end of story."

I nod, "Okay. How much do I pack?"

Jungkook shrugs. "Enough for a week I guess. We won't be needing to go anywhere else after the bungalow."

I furrow my eyebrows, folding my arms. "But I thought the weird voice said that if we messed up we'd have to go somewhere else?"

Jungkook stares dead into my eyes. "Then we won't mess up. Now go to your house, take the dog with you. I'll pack and then meet you at your place. Got it?"

I nod. "Got it."
