《QUIRKY! (MHA x Reader)》S2 Part 26 - Dirty Deeds

You didn't need to look up to know that the bird was diving for its prey.
With a split second to act, you shoved Twice to the side and used that momentum to throw yourself back as well. As predicted, Hawks landed right where you once stood, his surprise hidden behind his trademark visor he now wore, "Hey, not many can dodge me like that! Impressive."
You ended up falling on your knees but quickly sprang back up. That was lucky, but you were no match for the speed hero. Being in an alley might prove useful - you just couldn't let him get you in the air.
Hawks smirked, and a few of his red feathers detached from their wings, "This could be a lot more romantic if you'd just let me grab ya."
Aaaaaand I forgot he has magic, telepathic wings...
The only direction to run was towards Dabi and the burning van. You couldn't outrun Hawks anyway, so you stood your ground and waited for the feathers to come.
You managed to catch one in midair while another snuck up behind you, catching your skirt. One flew closer to your ankles and you quickly stomped on it like a bug.
Hawks gasped, "How rude! Come on, I'm trying to help you, kid."
Unfortunately, the one that found your clothing was already doing it's job and lifted you off the ground. You yelped as it jolted you and picked up speed.
"Hey, she's with us! Dabi, tell him to stop!" Twice flailed his arms, "."
The alley was getting smaller as the feather pulled you upwards. You almost conquered your fear of heights when roof jumping to school with Izuku, but that was with him close by to give you energy. This was much more terrifying!
Twice was doing his best to fight Hawks, but Hawks was only half interested as his first target was acquired. You spotted Dabi looking up at you with fire in his hand, but seemed to realize he couldn't do much about your current situation.
So, he turned the fire to Hawks.
"Shit," Hawks flew as a pillar of fire chased him into the sky.
"Watch where you're aiming, jackass! " Twice said.
You almost reached the rooftops, when a knife came flying towards you. It was aimed so perfectly that you didn't realize it was meant to hit the feather and not you. Until you started falling that is.
You screamed as you plummeted back to earth, but thankfully someone was kind enough to catch you. At first, you were confused why the arms now holding you bridal-style were green.
He was the only humanoid lizard you recognized, and then you realized the League had sent backup. "Gotcha," he grunted as gravity dropped you, "Kurogiri said there'd be trouble."
Finally, you thought, a body!
You barely knew the guy, but you took the chance to fuel yourself and wrapped your arms around the lizard's neck, "Thank you! Mister..."
It sickened you how cutesy you could sound when you wanted to.
His arms stiffened, "It's Spinner..."
Attached to his back was a sword..? But it was made out of several smaller blades just tied together. Instead of questioning the structural integrity of his weapon, you focused on how much energy you could take from a single hug.
You shivered. His energy was kind of cold but it was doing the job. You were waiting for him to throw you off and say something cruel and villainous, but he just continued to stand there stiff as a board.

"... you okay?" You asked, pulling away to see his face. I'm not killing him am I?
Spinner couldn't even make eye contact with you. He looked elated and embarrassed all at once, "Just... get through the portal, will you!"
You hopped out of his hold since it didn't seem like he was going to move. He reminded you a bit of Stain. His costume was identical, with the ragged scarf and overall street-ninja vibe. You couldn't say it gave you a pleasant trip down memory lane.
Maybe not a pleasant memory, but recalling the danger and stress from encountering Stain gave you a extra shot of adrenaline. You activated your quirk, making your veins glow slightly.
It appeared that most of the men with Izaya either ran off or were burning to a crisp. The smell was something of hellish nightmares - not to mention the screams...
But you spotted something moving swiftly behind Dabi. Izaya appeared out of the shadows as if he had an invisibility cloak or camouflage. He also moved so fast and silent that Dabi didn't notice him coming at him with a knife.
It was illegal to use your quirk without a license - that's what you were told when you and your friends captured Stain. Here you were again but you had to admit, it was going to feel good punching human traffickers.
Izaya never got the chance to raise his weapon. You tapped into your strength to give yourself a boost and landed beside Izaya. His eyes met yours for a hot second before you side kicked him into oblivion.
The skinny creep flew into the brick wall and dropped his knife in the process. You didn't want to risk it, though, so you pursued and held him up by his throat.
He was seeing stars by the looks of it, but he still held his horrible smile, "Ah... Usually," he grunted, "I'm the one doing the choking. This... is a nice change."
You scowled, "Just tell me where the freaky artist is so we can all get on with our night."
Izaya sneered, "Butcher's daughter. In the flesh. You're even... prettier than your photos. But take off that... silly mask of yours."
You squeezed his neck a little tighter, "Valentini, where is he?"
"Now, why," Izaya grabbed the hand you were suffocating him with, "would you be interested in him? Is it because he's interested in you?"
You froze. The energy you felt from his neck through your fingertips was dark. It felt like your soul was being tainted just by touching him.
His smile widened, "Does he scare you? I don't blame you. He doesn't treat his women very well - then again, I never hear them complain! For long."
"How do you know he's after me?"
"He's a high bidder, (Y/N)," Izaya sang, "And he does incredible work. I'm sure you'll become an exquisite piece of art."
He laughed when he felt your fingers tighten again, "Aren't you some kind of succubus?" he asked, "Come on - you have me up against a wall. What do you wanna do, (Y/N)? Give me your worst."
You flinched and dropped him like he was diseased, "You're disgusting."
"Haha... HAHAHAHAHA," Izaya laughed even after having his esophagus crushed, "A shy succubus? You're so very interesting."
He continued to laugh like it was the funniest thing in the world. So, you punched him in the face, making him collide with the wall again. The satisfaction outweighed your guilt as he slumped to the ground.

"Shut up," you said, "I have some standards."
Dabi appeared at your side and gazed curiously at the struggling broker, "We could take him home and beat it out of him?"
"Oh, yeah," you forgot you were working with villains, "Right..."
Izaya regained consciousness, barely, "Aww, is that a threat or a promise, Dabi."
"You lost your chance to do things the easy way," Dabi said.
"Touchy. Fine, I'll give you his pickup location in exchange for the original amount," he said, "Will that make everyone happy?"
"Sorry - I think half of it burned up," Dabi leered.
Izaya straightened himself up and brushed the dirt off his clothes. He was like a cockroach that kept coming back to life, "How unfortunate. Half - and a kiss from the succubus." He retrieved his knife again without either of you noticing and pointed it at you, "Out of curiosity."
You made a loud gagging sound to show your disgust. But Dabi made the choice for you, "Done."
"Excuse you?" You said.
"For Shinso," Dabi taunted, "Right?"
"Dammit. Fine..."
Izaya played with the maps app on his phone, just as casually as if you all hadn't just tried killing each other seconds ago.
Or that his men weren't currently getting barbecued.
"And... sent," Izaya said, "See, I can come through for you."
Dabi handed him an envelope of cash without a word. Now came your part... The way Izaya grinned at you made you want to punch him eight more times. His red, empty of human emotions, eyes took their time examining your tortured expression.
You clenched your jaw and prepared to sell your poor lips to this monster, when something equally unexpected happened.
Dabi grabbed your chin with his thumb and index finger and turned you head to face him instead. His eyes were only partially shut as he closed in. You stared at each other until you went crosseyed and his lips captured yours.
It was strange, at first. His bottom lip was rough from his burned and damaged skin. The top was the complete opposite - smooth and even cool to the touch.
Half and half...
Dabi pulled away and Izaya gave an exaggerated groan. You blinked but were too stunned to say anything.
"You didn't say who," Dabi said.
"What a childish trick," Izaya sighed.
"You two!" Spinner shouted, "Quit standing around and get through the portal!"
You whirled around, just now remembering your current situation. Smoke from the van was getting the attention from citizens on the streets. Sirens from police cars were sounding from not too far, and you couldn't forget about Hawks.
He circled above, keeping his distance from Dabi, but his feathers were beginning to deploy.
"I'm out," Izaya said, "Let's see each other again, soon, (Y/N)."
Suddenly, Izaya disappeared. Like a mirage, his body just dissolved into the darkness.
"What!" you gasped. His quirk made him invisible or something?
Dabi grabbed your arm, "Come on."
He used a smaller dose of his blue flames to crisp the feathers flying towards you. Spinner was already pulling Twice through Kurogiri's warp hole.
You used your quirk to help you and Dabi run a little faster, but someone called out to you and nearly tripped you up.
"(Y/N)!"
You turned. You were so close to escaping, but out of natural instinct, you couldn't ignore your godfather's voice.
Monarch appeared through the smoke and flame. He still wasn't using his wings, but the man behind him sure was.
"Hang on, kid!" Hawks zoomed passed Monarch.
You beautiful bastard! Why do my fantasies come true at the worst times.
Dabi swore under his breath. He wrapped an arm around your torso and lifted you off your toes. The two of you entered the warp hole again, just narrowly missing Hawks from snatching you.
"I'm sorry," you managed to whisper just before the portal closed.
Dabi sat you down on one of the barstools, like a child being put in their high chair. You were back, with your new villain companions in the warm, looming doom of their hideout.
Your hand was still slightly outreached. Even if you knew your goal required you to be here, your body wanted to return to the heroes.
If only Izaya had said the location out loud, you thought. Instead...
"Looks like it went well," Shigaraki waved his phone in your direction, "More or less."
He stood behind the bar with Kurogiri this time. No hands guarded his face, so you got to see his pleased smile.
Dabi leaned against the table, "Orihara only gave us a pickup location, which leads me to believe that's all he actually knew."
"Sending you out so soon wasn't a good idea it seems," Shigaraki said.
"Didnt think I'd be a black market item," you said, bitterly. You could still hear Monarch's voice in your head.
"Oh! I am too!" Toga appeared next to you and chimed in.
"You're on a hit list, stupid," Dabi said.
A couple more portals opened up, bringing the other villains back from whatever missions they were on. The one who wore a skull over his face had blood splatter on his clothes and you quickly looked away.
People died tonight. That was a weird concept for you to grasp. And it was partially your doing. Maybe you didn't set those men on fire, but it was your mission to find Shinso that brought Dabi and Izaya together.
"Ugh..." you heard Twice moaning in pain, "Splitting... apart!"
"Oh no," Toga said.
You shifted in your seat to find the sad man huddled in a corner, his head hiding in his knees, "Can't... ugh!"
"What's wrong with him?" You asked, "He doesn't look injured."
"That's just, Jin," Shigaraki said, "His quirk makes him a little nutty."
Curious, you thought.
"Hang on, Jin. Anyone have a bag or something?" Toga asked. This was the first time you heard her actually sounding mildly concerned for someone.
Twice sandwiched his head between his hands and you noticed his mask was torn, likely from Hawks's feathers. You could see the face of a man beneath, scared and wide-eyed. His blonde hair a jumbled mess.
When you looked more closely, you saw either stitches or staples down the middle of his forehead.
His cries were starting to wear on your little heart, so you looked at your own torn clothing - your skirt that got snagged with a feather also - and ripped along the seam until you had a long strip.
You weren't sure what you were doing, really, when you left your seat and approached Twice. He flinched, but didn't seem to mind you. You lowered yourself until you were sitting on your heels.
"Um," you said, "Hold still for me..."
Twice whimpered but didn't stop you. You took the cloth in your hands and wrapped it around his head, tying it in a knot so it looked like headband or tourniquet.
"There..." you hesitated, "Is that better at all? At least until you get another mask."
The man instantly stopped shaking. His eyes were watery when he gazed up at you.
Oh, no. What is this feeling?
Sympathy?
You suddenly couldn't stand to be in the room any longer. Quick to do, you stood up and tried to ignore everyone's eyes on you.
"I'm... I'll just be in the back."
You pushed passed Dabi as he lazily tried to stop you, but Shigaraki didn't say anything to encourage him.
"Let her be," Shigaraki said, "Go scout this spot instead."
"You're babying her too much," Dabi scowled.
"At least he ain't kissing her," Spinner grumbled.
The room got eerily still. Shigaraki's smile dropped.
"Don't go getting all salty about it," Dabi sighed, "Just send me on my way."
Of course, you got to hear the end of that just before getting to Shigaraki's room. You quickened your pace and slammed the door behind you.
What the hell was tonight, even!
You slid against the door until your bum hit the floor. Now you were the one squeezing your head together.
You couldn't feel bad for the villains - you couldn't feel anything at all! And you definitely couldn't be kissing them - unless you planned on fighting them after!
What kind of a person did that make you for sympathizing with the people who kidnapped you? The same people who have tried to kill your teachers and friends several times now?
That was just the list of infractions you knew about.
"I'm a screwed up person," you muttered. Or brainwashed!
Just then, something sharp poked your side. "Ah! Wha..."
Something wriggled through your fitted outfit. You were terrified it was a bug or a mouse you picked up in the alley. When something red sprang free and nearly attacked your face, you smacked it across the room with a tiny shriek.
"... Hawks?"
Police blocked the alley and ushered everyone off the streets. The club was emptied as a precaution, but the villains who caused the fire were long gone.
Monarch stood in the middle of the road, frowning deeply, with his slender arms crossed. He just ended a rather depressing phone-call with Midnight.
"Hey, pops."
The red-winged hero descended from the sky and landed next to Monarch. Hawks tossed his arm around his shoulders - even with their imbalanced heights.
"Hawks," Monarch acknowledged.
"Woah," Hawks said, "You're my go-to guy for a good time. Don't be so glum."
"My daughter is in trouble, you silly bird," Monarch sassed, "I can cry if I want to!"
"No, heeyyy," Hawks wrapped the much taller man in a hug, "Come here."
Monarch had to bend half his body just to rest on Hawks's shoulder, "Why can't they just leave my precious baby alone? Ughhh, and now I have to warn her about her father and her boyfriends are still missing... She's going to be so upset with me."
"Boyfriends?" Hawks asked.
Monarch pulled back, "Thanks for vouching for me, by the way. Cops are on me like flies on shit - oh I hate using dirty language so willy-nilly."
"Anything for my sky comrade."
Monarch sighed, and returned his attention to the smokey mess, "I can't sleep at night thinking about what that creepy Tomura is making her do. Do you think we'll find them soon?"
Hawks grinned, "I have a feeling we will."
