*** 3rd p POV ***
It began as a simple game in the dark.
Nothing seemed amiss as the students from class 1A and 1B took turns scaring each other in the grand forest. Everyone split up in pairs except for the teachers and the Wild Wild Pussycats who remained close to camp waiting for them.
Now, the students of UA were in peril, surrounded by trees, miles from home and help. A blanket of blue flames had spread smoke and fear, burning all in its path. An odd, pinkish gas clouded another section of the trees, instantly putting students to sleep with its poison.
How had it come to this?
Izuku Midoriya felt panic rising in his chest. His friends were out there - stuck in the flames! Accompanied by, more than likely, some pretty nasty villains. It wouldn't be the first time their class was attacked - but why now? All Might wasn't even here. What could they possibly want with a bunch of students?
His heart sank.
(Y/N)...
It wasn't long ago she walked off with Shinso, the guy with the brainwashing quirk. At the time, Izuku didn't have the guts to beg her not to. Shinso wasn't acting himself lately and it didn't seem safe, but now she was out there not only with Shinso but with these villains!
Izuku had a hunch, if it was the League of Villains again, that Shigaraki had come for (Y/N). It may not be their only reason for being here, but he felt safe in assuming.
Before anyone could stop him, he ran straight into the forest looking for her. Even as he searched wildly through the dark and branches, the worst scenarios came to his mind. He hadn't forgotten that night in Hosu, the Nomus, and how Shigaraki had held (Y/N) to him...
It made him sick.
There was no way Izuku could let them take her. Who knows what they would do to her. She was already trying so hard to become a hero regardless of the hate she received. The last thing (Y/N) needed was the "loving" embrace from the League of Villains.
"I'll find you, (Y/N)..." Izuku muttered to himself, "I promise."
He tried following in the direction he thought (Y/N) and Shinso went but was having no luck. He heard screams and shouting from his peers.
One scream in particular stopped him in his tracks.
"Kota?"
The little boy who lived with the Pussy Cats. He was out here too?
Izuku clenched his fists. He really needed to find (Y/N), but at least she could defend herself. Kota on the other hand - Izuku didn't even know what his quirk was. And knowing the boy's personality he was likely alone and not hanging around any of the hero students.
He had to help him.
"Kota!" Izuku used One For All to help get him through the trees at a fast speed, "Kota! Answer me!"
He heard the boy shout back, faintly from up on a hill. Izuku sprang into action and leapt with all his might (lol..) - overshooting the cliff, but landing somewhat gracefully in front of Kota.

The little boy was hiding his horrified face from beneath a baseball cap. His eyes were bulging and his teeth clenched tight.
"Kota! Are you okay?" Izuku asked.
"Where did you-" Kota almost started crying, "Villains are - they're - he's..."
The poor kid couldn't finish a sentence. Izuku looked in the direction the boy was pointing, just over his shoulder.
"Stay back, Kota," Izuku pushed the boy back before addressing the new stranger before him, "Who are you and what do you want?"
The man who had startled Kota stood over six feet tall. A dark, oversized hoodie shrouded him in the darkness. His face was hidden beneath a black, metallic mask in the shape of a human skull.
"Izuku Midoriya," the man's voice was almost a whisper.
"How did you know?" Izuku asked, but after the sports festival many strangers recognized the students at UA.
"I've seen your face," was all he said to that, "Then you know (Y/N)... and that blond kid, Bakugo."
Izuku flinched. He didn't like where this was going, so he didn't respond. The man took a heavy step forward.
"Why don't you tell me where (Y/N) is and I'll be on my way."
"What do you want with them?" Izuku challenged. Kota trembled behind him.
The man paused, "Not to be rude, I just don't have all night for the playing-for-time, cutesy bullshit."
When Izuku glared defiantly in response, the man chuckled, "Going to protect your lady friend? It's probably better that I know where she is than these other clowns."
That confused Izuku, "Are you saying you're not with these villains..?"
The man took another step, "Hm. My motives might be my own. But don't get it wrong kid, I'm not your friend."
"Your own motives?"
"Sorry, boy. Times up."
From behind Izuku and Kota came another booming voice that shook the very ground.
"Yo, Grim! Tell me what you found! Looks like two puny shits to me."
Another giant of a man with bulging muscles trapped their way of escape. Kota involuntarily clung to Izuku's shirt.
"It seems they're of no use to me," the skull-faced man sighed.
To Izuku's surprise, the man walked away! Didn't spend another minute there to hurt them or question them. Just who was this guy, he thought.
"You're not sticking around?! Oh, well. Lucky for me," the villain left with them cheered, and set his sights on Izuku, "You're on Shigaraki's kill list!"
Izuku readied One for All. Looks like he was in for a fight after all. And not with just anyone...
The heavy-hitting villain, Muscular.
😘
You glared at the back of Shinso's neck. Neither of you exchanged words, but he kept humming to himself as you continued walking through the forest.
He held your hand, but there was nothing sweet or loving about it. It felt more like an iron claw keeping you from leaving his side.
"Shinso," you said.
"Hm?"
You stopped, trying to get him to pay attention. He turned to look at you with a stupid grin still on his face.

"What is it? Scared already?" He asked.
"No," you grimaced, "I want to talk to you."
"Oh?"
"Yeah - 'oh.' You've been acting like a jackass lately."
His eyes narrowed, but his smile remained, "Have I? What about you?"
"Me?"
"Isn't it obvious how this poor idiot feels for you? Yet you'll run off with the nearest blond boy-explodey hands you can find. Seems kinda mean to me."
...
"That's..."
"Hehe," Shinso yanked you towards him, so his breath hit your face, "You're so conflicted - aren't you? There's not just someone you like, you like A LOT of people! So much, you want to be just like them, don't you? I can tell."
"The hell?" You tried pulling back, but Shinso snatched your other hand and trapped them both against his chest.
"It's only natural, right? You end up wearing the same stuff... but eventually not even that's enough. Who do you like the most, (Y/N)? Who makes you the most excited? You want to become that person, right? It can't be helped..."
"Get off me!" You shoved Shinso away. Tears stung your eyes as you watched your friend spewing nonsense.
"Who is he? Who is he?" Shinso's face flushed with a peculiar enjoyment, "I love people who are beat up and smell like blood. That's why, in the end, I always cut them up!"
You had enough.
You grazed one of the trees with your fingertips, not wanting to kill the bastard, and punched him right in the gut. Shinso flew back, hitting another tree and crumpled to the ground.
"Ouchie... nice hit," he grunted.
"Who the hell are you?" You demanded.
He slowly stood and dusted himself off, "What do you mean, (Y/N)? Is it because, for once, I'm not kissing your tight ass?"
From his pocket, he drew a knife. The moonlight made it shine.
"C'mere kitty," he smiled, "I want to see some of that pretty blood of yours."
You couldn't help but scream, quite damsel-like, when he came at you with the knife. It was more startling than anything - to see your closest friend going yandere on your ass.
He swung the knife by your face, but you ducked just in time. You tackled him to the ground and pinned his arms so he couldn't stab you.
"(Y/N)," he blushed, "I knew you loved me. Let's go cut everyone else!"
"What is wrong with you!" You cried.
"Toga! We should probably follow orders. "
You have heard that voice before!
In the second you were distracted, Shinso got the upper hand and managed to slice your arm. You grit your teeth as the blood spilled out of your new wound. A stinging pain consumed you, but luckily the cut wasn't too deep. After covering it with your hand, you were able to halt the flow.
You pushed off the ground with your legs and put some distance between you.
"Aw, you're interrupting, Twice," Shinso whined.
A figure in a fitted suit leapt out from some nearby trees. He was panting as if he ran here as quickly as he could, "We can't kill her off, you nutcase, you were supposed to bring her back. "
"She got complicated," Shinso shrugged.
"You?!" You addressed the masked villain.
"You remember me? "
So his villain name was Twice? That made sense if you remembered his quirk correctly. It felt so long ago when he attempted to kidnap you that night on the train.
Shit. That means Shigaraki isn't far behind. Are they the only villains here?
Your question was answered when you smelled the thick scent of smoke. When you looked up, the stars were difficult to see. Clouds hung just above the treetops and a blue light came from deeper in the forest.
The forest could be crawling with villains... and my friends don't know!
But, what about Shinso?
"You're obviously not, Hitoshi, so who the fuck-" you started.
A female voice cut you off.
"Oh yeah! I don't have to be this creeper anymore," Shinso giggled.
You watched in horror as his body suddenly turned into a grey sludge. His features literally melted off his face and fell into clumps in the grass - revealing a short girl with two blonde, messy buns in his place.
"I'm Toga!" she said, "Sorry about leading you on like that, but to be honest, I think you might be my type..."
"What..." you still weren't sure what you were looking at.
At first, you were relieved. It wasn't Shinso after all, it some some psycho-bitch impersonating him! You almost cried tears of joy until you realized you still didn't know where the real Shinso was.
"What've you done with him?" your voice wavered.
The girl just smiled deviously, "Shiggy might tell you. Why don't we go ask him?"
Shiggy?
"Well, the element of surprise is gone. " Twice said, as he pulled out a long piece of measuring tape.
You prepared yourself for battle, even with your bloodied arm, but the forest wasn't done with the surprise guests.
"AAAAHHHHHH!!"
Bakugo came flying into the ring, roaring in anger. He wasted no time in causing explosions where Twice and Toga stood. The impact tripped you up a bit and you toppled backwards. Debris hit your face, but when you blinked the dirt out of your eyes you looked up into Bakugo's very pissed off face.
"Katsuki?"
"Who do you think, idiot!" He grabbed you by the collar and lifted you up with ease, "I said fifteen minutes! And look at all the shit you're already in."
"You're right," you nodded, "But it's the same shit everyone else is going to be in in a minute.
We have to warn the others."
And I have to find Shinso...
