《QUIRKY! (MHA x Reader)》Part 13 - Born in the USJ

"Wow!" Izuku's eyes were glowing, "It's the rescue hero, Thirteen!"
You smiled, equally excited to meet another pro hero. The hero in the spacesuit addressed your class and introduced you to the facility known as USJ or the Unforeseen Simulation Joint. By the looks of it, the USJ was designed almost like an indoor theme park. A lot of work went into each natural disaster sight.
"I hope I get to show everyone how well I perform in the water," Asui said.
"Do you want to be a rescue hero, Asui?" you asked.
"Call me Tsu, ribbit," she corrected, "And I don't know yet, but if I'm any good at it then maybe."
"I'm sure you'll be great, especially if water is your element," you said, "I'm not sure where I would shine, to be honest."
Tsu looked at you curiously, "You're already pretty shiny, I wouldn't worry about it!"
You giggled, enjoying her light-heartedness. Thirteen was about to break you all into groups when something spooked Aizawa. Your teacher's eyes widened. The lights in the facility flickered as if experiencing a power malfunction.
"Aizawa, what-" Izuku started, but Aizawa stepped in front of him, "Stay back!"
Your teacher readied his scarf, and you realized that something wasn't right. This wasn't part of your simulation. He was actually worried. When you looked down the long flight of stairs leading to the park, a wall of purple mist had appeared out of thin air.
You grabbed onto Tsu's hand. A familiar feeling of fear and dread hitting your stomach. It can't be villains. Why would they be here?
"Those are real villains," Aizawa explained, "Thirteen, watch the kids."
"Y-you can't fight them alone!" you said, "Let us help! Where's All Might, I thought he was coming!"
"Yeah!" Kirishima joined in, "We're here so let us fight!"
"I'll be fine, now, do as I say!" Aizawa barked.
You all flinched. This was bad. You gulped as you spotted a blue-haired figure emerging from the mist. He was followed by many - MANY - others. Your heart sank. Aizawa couldn't take them all on.
Aizawa turned full Eraser Head. Your mouth dropped as you witnessed your teacher kicking ass with nothing but his scarf and those frightening quirk-erasing eyes of his. It still didn't feel right to let him fight alone, so you had to do something. Anything.
"Thirteen?" you ran to the hero in the spacesuit, "What can we do? Can we reach anyone and tell them what's happening?"
"Our communications are down," she said, "The alarm system doesn't seem to be running either. The villains must've planned ahead..." she tapped her helmet, "If we can get you kids out of here, we can get help for Aizawa."
"Let's just kill them!" Bakugo shouted, "What are we waiting for!"
Panic struck your body. Your classmates could die today. Your teacher. Even you. That didn't matter to you as much, but living while one of them died was out of the question. You were forced to steady your breathing as you felt a panic attack creeping in. A hero doesn't show fear... A hero doesn't show fear...
"We're evacuating, let's go!" Thirteen ordered. Everyone made their way back to the exit, but the wall of mist appeared. More mist, you thought, how? A deep voice resonated from within:
"Sorry for the rude introduction, but I'm afraid none of you will be leaving."
Bakugo lit up his hands, "Let's get this bastard."

"Wait!" you cried, but it was too late.
Darkness surrounded you all, and when you opened your eyes, many of your classmates were missing. NO. Where could they have gone? Were they all alright?
When you heard many surprising screams echoing around the building, you let out a sigh of relief. At least they were still here, but there were villains everywhere too.
"(Y/N)!" you heard Uraraka cry out, "Are you okay? What's happening!"
"I don't know!" You were nudged aside by Thirteen who decided to fight against the wall of mist. One of you had to get out of here! If no one on the outside knew what was happening here, then you were all dead. No one would even know.
"Iida!" you were glad to see him still in the vicinity, "We'll buy you some time, but get to those doors!"
"But I..." he gasped, "I cannot abandon my class! That isn't what a hero should do!"
"You're fast - you will save us all if you get help," you pleaded, "Please!"
"What are you going to do, (Y/N)?" Uraraka panicked.
You hadn't the faintest clue, but your body was running. The mist had to have a body somewhere, something solid. But for now, you wanted to make it look like you were the one running for the exit.
"Not so fast," the wall of mist cut you off, as expected, but you noticed a pair of yellow eyes.
"What are you creeps doing here?" you asked.
"Creeps?" the mist scoffed, "My name is Kurogiri. And we are the League of Villains. Our goal... to end the symbol of peace."
But All Might isn't even here...
Then, they had no reason to keep any of you alive. You trembled but prepared yourself for a fight.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, miss (Y/N). I'm sure the master will feel the same."
You were struck dumb. Your guard was down. What the hell did he just say?
"Get back!" Thirteen called to you. You felt her black hole quirk sucking you back towards the others, but for some reason, you never made it. As you were pulled back, another wall of mist appeared, ready for you to fall back into.
Shit!
"(Y/N)!" Uraraka cried out.
The next thing you knew, you were flat on your back, gazing up at the dome ceiling. Okay, so Kurogiri didn't teleport you far. You quickly sat up and realized you had a front-row seat for Aizawa's fight.
Either way, you took this opportunity to, more or less, break the rules, and use your quirk against some villains. A few of them spotted you and readied to attack, but you got to them faster. One swift punch and one of the villains was flying. You wanted to release this energy - it felt good to finally feel useful.
Someone grabbed you from behind. You pulled your legs up and kicked whoever was in front of you. The impact sent you and the villain holding you flying back, and the other forward. These villains didn't seem very difficult. You mulled over that fact briefly, before catching another villain by the arm, and throwing them.
You heard the cries of Mineta. To your left was the sinking ship simulator. You could spot two green-haired kids and one purple. Thank goodness, Kurogiri accidentally sent Tsu straight to the water, where she could easily take care of herself. A happy mishap?
When you turned back around, you nearly released the ghost. Standing before you was a giant, horrifying, bird-like, mass of muscles attacking Aizawa. It looked like its brains were exposed, too. There was nothing human about it. It appeared to have no soul and only responded to...

The man with blue hair.
He stood admiring the creature while cackling something to Aizawa. What were those things all over him? Hands? Other than his creepy appearance, he didn't seem that intimidating. Not like the bird beast. He was thin and looked like he needed to hydrate.
You wanted to rush to your teacher's aid, but worried you would only get in the way. Then he would have to worry about rescuing you if you failed. You watched with bated breath, ready to intervene if necessary. With Aizawa's hands full, the blue-haired man suddenly made his move.
As soon as his hand met Aizawa's skin, that area began to disintegrate! The flesh outside of Aizawa's elbow exposed the meat and bones on the inside. He was... going to lose?
Your clenched your fists. You had to step in! While Aizawa was able to escape the handyman's touch, he was stopped by the birdman. You heard a sickening crack as Aizawa's arm was shattered in its meaty hand.
No... Not him!
"Aizawa!" you screamed.
Knowing you blew your cover anyway, you rushed towards the creature.
You cried out as you landed a punch. The bird-face staggered back, releasing Aizawa, but not going far enough. You were used to your hits having more of an impact. Maybe, you were already low on energy.
Your hands were shaking when you reached for your teacher, "Aizawa, are you-"
A dry and cold hand is clasped around your mouth. Your eyes shot open. If it was the same man... were you already dead? Your mouth was trapped against his palm, but his pointer finger remained off of your cheek. You hadn't melted into oblivion yet, so it must be something about his quirk. Could he control it? Or did it have to do with his fingers?
"I wouldn't squirm too much if I were you," a scratchy but amused voice spoke in your ear, "You see, the only thing keeping you alive is my last finger not touching your skin. So settle down, won't you, (Y/N)?"
You froze. You were right. But why did all these villains know you by name? It wasn't like you could ask at the time.
With your quirk, you attempted to steal energy from his hand. However, all you sensed was death. Your body and your quirk quickly rejected him, like poison in the bloodstream. It was intoxicating and sickening, like sapping life from a corpse.
"Let... her go, Shigaraki," Aizawa grunted.
"Eraser," you could feel your captor's breath against your neck, "Don't tell me, your student has no idea about-"
"Shut up!" Aizawa tried to get up, but the bird beast returned. Instinctively, you lunged forward but were brought back to your reality, when the man, Shigaraki, caught you around the chest. Part of your suit began to rust rapidly and fall apart.
"None of that, (Y/N)," he hummed. It was useless. You couldn't get fuel from this guy. If anything, he was giving you negative energy. "Close your eyes if you don't want to watch my Nomu finish him off."
Why isn't he killing me? He was just holding you there like a hostage. But they didn't want hostages - so why? Your cries were muffled as you witnessed Eraser Head get his face pounded into the ground by the giant Nomu.
He's going to die.
He's going to die...!
You took the chance. If Shigaraki hadn't killed you yet, then maybe he wouldn't. It was a gamble, but if that were the case then you could escape this! You drove your elbow into his ribs and headbutted him with the back of your skull. Shigaraki grunted as you ripped yourself free of his death hands.
All you could see was red. Not just from the pool of blood covering Aizawa's face. You felt... unhinged. You kicked off the ground struck the Nomu again. This time, he didn't move at all. Even your most powerful hit that tore flesh. His body seemed to regenerate.
"It's no use!" Shigaraki laughed, "I thought of everything to end All Might. Your attacks won't do anything. Nomu, grab her!"
His giant hands gripped your entire torso. You were caught. The pressure was too great and your eyes began to water. It was difficult to breathe, feeling your ribs cave in. Even so, you kept struggling to get yourself free.
"If All Might isn't here, we'll leave with what we have. Kill a couple of kids, maybe..."
You were confused and terrified at what Shigaraki said. More deaths? My friends... Something ignited in your core, like an ember that was always there but you added lighter fluid.
You couldn't reach the Nomu with your legs and arms in this position. So, you focused on your powers and drove all ten of your fingernails into the Nomu's hands. You ignored how gross it was to feel its blood. This was something you never tried before. Midnight taught you restraint.
Not this time.
You couldn't even think anymore. It was all about power. You could feel yourself sucking the Nomu dry. The energy flowed from your fingertips to your body, like a rushing river.
Voices came from all around you. It sounded like some of your friends maybe. Izuku? No, Bakugo? Who knew. A buzzing in your head was increasing in volume - you didn't even notice your blonde, muscular savior appear onto the scene.
Your skin was glowing red. You felt your breathing getting ragged - you could've sworn your throat was bleeding. An aura radiated around you creating a small wind current. The Nomu couldn't express fear, but it definitely made pained noises as it slowly crumpled to the floor.
"(Y/N)!" you heard someone shout, "(Y/N)!"
You ignored whoever it was. You wanted every ounce of this vessel's lifeforce. It was going to perish beneath you. It would never touch your friends again. The Nomu had long released you, but you weren't finished.
Someone's battle cry was ringing in your ears until you realized it was your own. You had no control anymore. You were pure energy, and you were going to end every last one of these villains... starting with Shigaraki.
"(Y/N!)"
A large hand grabbed your shoulder, but you forced it back. The energy surrounding you was so thick it began pushing against anything and everything. Your vision was a sea of red and pulsing light, like exposing your own heartbeat.
Satisfied, you retracted your fingers from the Nomu's body and prepared for a final blow. But something stopped you.
Your quirk was neutralized, and you finally had a moment to catch your breath.
"(Y/N)!" You heard All Might's voice.
When you looked around, you saw a few familiar faces. Todoroki, Izuku, and even Bakugo. All Might had pulled everyone to safety, including Aizawa. You noticed a ring of crumbled earth surrounding you and you realized you were the core of it.
The Nomu twitched beneath you and you stumbled away. What happened to you just now? Your head felt feverish and you began to sweat.
"And you call your students heroes?" Shigaraki laughed, "She would've killed us all if Eraser hadn't stopped her! Such a hypocritical society run by such arrogant, power-hungry 'justice' seekers."
Your vision got blurry. Just before you fell, a pair of strong arms caught you. You looked up into the face of All Might, his permanent smile in a strained frown.
"You're wrong. You villains enjoy making excuses for your evil deeds. When really, you just do them because you like it," All Might carried you to the others before letting you down and facing his foe, "My students are strong, make no mistake. But they have the hearts of heroes."
"Hot lips..." Bakugo hissed, in his own way of worrying, "don't you dare fall asleep yet."
The last thing you saw was All Might taking his heroic stance to defend you all.
