《QUIRKY! (MHA x Reader)》Part 6 - A Sticky Situation

Oh no...

You struggled against the purple ball now attached to your foot, keeping you cemented to the floor. More were thrown your way, but you were able to dance around most of them. You secretly always thought Mineta's quirk was comical - I mean, who has sticky balls for hair? But there you were, at his mercy.

"I know what you're thinking," Mineta hummed to himself, "People underestimate me all the time. I'm mysterious that way."

You thought desperately about what to do next. He was doing his part as a villain - talking too much - and giving you some time. You and Asui were trapped at the moment, and you had no abnormal strength currently to help you out.

A dreadful thought crept into your mind.

No. No. No. No. Noooooooooo...

But what choice did you have!?

"H-hey," you put on your most pitiful, damsel-in-distress performance, "Can we talk about this, Mineta?"

You played with your hair slightly and even overdid it with a girlish pout, pressing out your bottom lip (and your chest a little bit...) knowing Mineta couldn't resist even an awkwardly charming female. Your plan worked. He already had stars in his eyes.

"Of course, my lady!"

"Such a bummer that I'm about to lose," you even changed your voice a tad, "I guess I'm already your prisoner..."

Mineta stared at you like you had given him a million dollars.

"I mean, you're amazing. You caught me and Asui. There's no way we could've found... what were you guys hiding, anyway?"

"Oh!" Mineta wiped the drool from his lip, "W-We had a detonator. Super easy to hide on Bakugo's costume."

Great. It was on Bakugo the entire time? You had so many opportunities to grab the detonator! Hopefully, Midoriya or Iida would notice as they brawled with that angry hedgehog. There was a slight chance they'd hear you if you shouted loud enough, but one crisis at a time. You snapped your fingers, "Darn it! You guys are just too smart. I guess I should surrender now, huh?"

Mineta was blushing so badly that he gave himself a nosebleed. This might work, you thought, only because it was Mineta. And because it was Mineta, you didn't feel too bad working him like this.

"Y-yeah! I just need to tie this on you," Mineta had a similar white rope to the one Bakugo had.

Hope was restored. He had to get close to you in order to tie that around you. You watched as his trembling hands drew near. That could give you the window you needed. Although, you were horrified at the same time. You would never hear the end of this...

This is for our team, Midoriya!

You still cried internally.

"Alright," you let out a princess sigh, "Come on then. I won't struggle."

You worried that you went too far and that he would pass out before he even got to you. He staggered a bit, but his creepy grin returned. He muttered to himself some lewd comments that you couldn't totally make out. Ugh - this is torture!

"YOU DAMN NERD!" Bakugo's voice boomed.

Your heart leaped into your throat. Did he really capture Iida and Midoriya? You couldn't see either of your friends, but you saw Bakugo stomping out of the ruble. No one followed him. Your mind raced - what happened to the other two? Were you really the only one left? Would other teammates arrive?

Probably not in time...

You almost forgot about Mineta, with the spikey-haired, walking doomsday coming towards you. Mineta was giggling with anticipation as his hand reached for yours. He was a lot shorter than you, which made this last bit quite difficult.

Closing your eyes, praying to the gods for their mercy, you snatched Mineta. He yelped in fear as you yanked him towards you. And...

You had never been more repulsed in your life. You forced your lips on him, and as you felt your quirk sapping his energy, your pride was depleting just as quickly. Mineta passed out a second later, from your quirk, you think...

"What... the actual... FUCK?!"

Bakugo was stunned. His legs locked and he had a look of terror and disgust on his face. You dropped Mineta, careful not to give him a head injury. You activated your quirk right away, feeling the heat and power flowing through you again.

Damn! Mineta hardly gave you any energy to work with! Was it because he was that much of a weakling? Or he had passed out too quickly? Either way, this was your only window for redemption. You had to act, now!

With your strength returning, you were able to free yourself from Mineta's purple traps. You rushed at Bakugo, almost grabbing him, but he stopped you. His counter moves were impressive, and you were thrown on your back.

You gasped as air was forced out of your lungs. For a second, you couldn't breathe properly. Bakugo practically straddled you in an effort to wrangle you again. You used both of your legs to kick him off of you.

Then, you remembered. The detonator!

"IDIOT!" Bakugo growled, "I'm not going easy this time!"

He chucked the rope to the side and focused on his hand canons. You gulped. Sweat trickled from your forehead. You were too close to him, and with the wide-open range that you both had, he could easily aim.

This is it.

You both charged at each other, even though, you knew you were going to lose. A fire was burning in his eyes, but you could feel a fire of your own. You weren't going to go down easy. If this were a real villain fight, you couldn't show your broken spirit, not until the end...

"Ribbit."

Suddenly, Bokugo froze, causing you to also hesitate. Something pink and glossy had caught him around his torso. Not just him, but the detonator attached to his belt.

Asui pulled her extremely long tongue back and caught the detonator in her hand, "Neutralized."

You fell to your knees. A tired laugh escaped your chest. No way!

"Asui! How did you escape?" you smiled at your froggy companion.

"I don't know!" she shrugged, "I think it was something you did, (Y/N). As soon as I heard Mineta stop talking, the balls weren't sticky anymore. It must've been when he passed out?"

Happy tears sprang from your eyes. It was mainly from the exhaustion, but you are a bit of a softy. Being beaten around by Todoroki, electrocuted by Kaminari, thrown hundreds of feet into the air, and nearly blown up several times over.

And... you kissed Mineta. That was enough to cry about.

Bakugo was absolutely fuming. You won and he knew it, but something about the deadly look on his face made you worry.

"... YOU'RE ALL DEAD!" he lit up his hands and you fell back, but he was stopped again, for a second time. This time by Aizawa.

Your teacher had appeared out of nowhere. Scary! His glare was focused on Bokugo, keeping him from using his quirk.

"You're done, Bakugo," he said.

You had never been more grateful for Aizawa's erasing quirk. He must have been prepared for Bakugo to become erratic. The blond student growled in frustration, still attempting to blow everyone up, even with his quirk turned off. Aizawa just sighed and turned to you and Asui.

"Time to see your results. Go on."

"(Y/N)!" Uraraka wrapped her arms around your neck. You tripped a bit from the sudden impact but returned the gesture, "I can't believe we did it!"

The classroom was buzzing with excitement. Everyone was ready to see how well they did. Half the class snickered when you took your seat, and you had a horrible feeling in the pit of your stomach. The loudest giggles came from Denki, while others, like Todoroki, kept a solid, emotionless stare. What was his problem? You sank into your chair, hoping to become invisible like Hagakure.

"Ignore them," Uraraka said, "They're just mad they lost."

Denki frowned, "Heeeeyyy..."

The last of your friends were still trickling in. Most of them had to get healed up by Recovery Girl. UA was no joke, you thought. You always thought the methods of training were brutal, but how else can you prepare kids for the powerful villains of the world? You noticed the last person still missing was Midoriya.

Maybe I should be there with him... He was your teammate after all.

You got up from your seat and made to leave.

"(Y/N)? Where are you going?" Uraraka asked.

"Ah... I feel bad leaving Izuku," you said, "We were in this togethe-"

The door flung open before you could reach it. You saw a head of crazy black hair. Your aunt, Miss Midnight, barged in with her obnoxious breasts and tight uniform. She beamed at you, as happy as a schoolgirl.

"MY BABY!" she squealed, "You were phenomenal! Sensational. A real woman, putting those boys in their place!"

"Good gods, woman!" you retreated, "What are you doing here?"

"I had to congratulate you!" Midnight captured you in a smothering embrace, "I'm so so so so proud! I haven't seen you try so hard before! And you looked fabulous! Like a sultry phoenix emerging from the embers..."

"STOP!" you cried, "Please, forever stop..."

"Miss Midnight."

Aizawa arrived with Midoriya by his side. For the first time, you saw something that looked like pity in your teacher's eyes, "Please release my student. She needs to be critiqued."

Midnight pouted, "Oh fine! You're no fun, are you? (Y/N), we're going to celebrate later!" She gave you a sloppy kiss on your cheek before dancing out of the room.

You wiped your face, feeling the remains of her sticky lipstick. The only thing that brought you back down to earth was the bright smile on Midoriya's face.

"Izuku!" you said, "How are you?"

"Fine! Much better now..." he sighed.

"Sit," Aizawa ushered the two of you away, using his magic scarf, "Alright. Let's go over your overall team points, and then we will rate you individually."

As far as villains vs. heroes went, the scores were pretty even. Once you moved on to individual grades, that's when you got nervous. It was strange to you that the two most powerful students in your class - Todoroki and Bakugo - actually scored very low. They missed a chunk of points in the cooperativeness category.

"(Y/N)..." Aizawa said, "In all five categories you were about average. Power - 8/10. Speed - 6/10. The technique was a 4. Intelligence a 5. Cooperativeness a 7. A total of 30/50. So... you passed. But you still have a lot to work on."

He moved on to the next person, and you were left in a daze. It wasn't a great score, BUT you did it! You looked at Midoriya, sitting next to you and Uraraka. His green eyes lit up, and he gave you a shy thumbs up.

"You too," you whispered.
