"Hey brat, guess what ?"

"Huh ??"

"You'll be surprised when you find out where I am right now. I'm at the lobby of Trost Hospital." Levi trotted around the lobby with a basket of fresh fruits and other 'get well soon' presents while holding up a phone to his ear.

He hears (Y/n) gasp from the other line, "what ?! But why-"

"Yes, it's exactly what you think. To see you. So that you can see my face, even just for a bit."

"Oh no.. Well I'm not there right now. I'm out to get some things I needed to get for dad."

Levi hummed, "oh ? Too bad then. I'll just go up by myself and say hello to my future father in law." He stood in front of the elevator, ready to go up to meet (Y/n)'s father.

"DON'T YOU FUCKING DARE- I mean, you can't, sir."

"Tch, why can't I ?"

"He doesn't even know we're dating. So visiting him on your own is a bit.. creepy. Oh ! Don't you have that meeting at 10 AM about our new airline routes ? I think you should head there now, I'll have Ms. Reiss to inform you about your further agenda for the day."

The man sighs in defeat, "alright.. Take care then."

Meanwhile, (Y/n) ended the call with guilt inside her. She fiddles with several bags of breakfast that she just bought from McDonalds since hospital food is too plain for her father. (Y/n) was terrified when she heard Levi said that he wanted to meet her father in person. Thankfully, he didn't do that.

(Y/n) then makes her way back to the hospital and heads to her father's room.

"Here, you should have more protein. Take it slowly."

"Ah, thanks." (Y/n)'s father smiles at her as he watches his daughter place various foods on the overbed tables along with his medicines. (Y/n) then makes herself comfortable on a chair beside the hospital bed, watching her father eat.

Someone suddenly barges inside the room, "Mr. (L/n) !"

"Porco, my boy ! Hi there !"

The blonde approaches the bed where (Y/n)'s father is having breakfast, "I see you're having breakfast here. Hey (Y/n), you need to get to work now, right ? How about you grab a bite with me before then ?" Porco turned to (Y/n)'s father, "Sir, I'm just going to take (Y/n) to eat outside. Will you be alright on your own ?"

"Yeah. Alright, go ahead."

While Porco was still having a conversation with Mr. (L/n), (Y/n)'s phone buzzed. She fishes out her phone only to see some new text from her boyfriend, the vice president himself.

[Ms. (L/n), when are you coming ? Get your ass over here so I can see your pretty face brat]

A small wheeze escapes (Y/n)'s lips as she reads his message.

"Anyways, let's go, (Y/n). What do you feel like eating ?" Porco interrupted her train of thoughts.

She shook her head, "it looks like I need to go into work right away."

"But you should at least eat something first, there's something I need to say to you too."

"Eh..? Okay then."

(Y/n) finishes the last bite of her sushi, she looks at Porco who's still eating in delight, "Pock, I really have to get going, what was it that you wanted to tell me ?"

"Oh, right !" His eyes widened in realization as he just remembered what he wanted to talk about.

The blonde rummages through his bag and pulls out something before placing it in front of (Y/n), "here, take this." He smiled.

"A credit card..?"

"No silly. One of my senior colleagues is opening her own hospital and I decided to transfer there. So I quit my current job. This is my severance pay, and I want you to have it."

She gaped, "what ? Why give this to me ?"

"Why else ?" Porco sighs, "you've been working for 10 years all to pay off your father's debt and even for student loans I had back then. I know you don't have a cent under your name now."

"Still, I can't take this."

"Don't say that, and just take it ! You can't get married to that grumpy vice president penniless now, can you ?"

"M-marriage ?" (Y/n) stammered, "isn't it too early to talk about that ?"

"Too early my ass.. Anyway, I've given it to you, so it's up to you now to decide what to do with it."

"But-"

Porco threw her a pissed off look, "just shut up and accept the damn money you bitch. Now, the next thing we need to do is....shopping !"

"What ?" (Y/n) tilts her head, "why so sudden ? I need to go back to the office as fast as I can since my boss is-"

"Come on ! It won't take forever to try a few dresses and blouses ! Besides, I just noticed that it seems like you're running out of outfits. You often wear the same ones. We need to fix that."

She shook her head furiously, "I swear to god I'll just call a taxi, you're making me late."

"I'm pretty sure the reason why you're itching to get to work is because of your boss. You need to shop once in a while and forget about men !" The blonde urges (Y/n) to stand from her seat to get going.

She stood up, however (Y/n) crossed her arms, "you're included in 'men', Pock. You know that, right ?"

"I'm an exception. I'm your best friend and I'm an amazing creature. Now come on, I'll pay for your clothes !"

Porco ignores (Y/n)'s protests as he drags her outside the restaurant to stroll around some stores to get his best friend some new dresses and clothes. (Y/n) herself has no choice but to obey her generous friend.

Time skip -- In The Ackerman Company --

Levi paces in a circle as he stays in his private office.

'I'm waiting for my girlfriend just so I can have lunch with her, even though I'm hungry as fuck.. How romantic and sweet of me.'

His keen ears then heard familiar sounds of rushed footsteps of a certain secretary.

'Ah, my girl has returned.'

Through his opened office blinds, Levi sees his girlfriend struggling to settle some shopping bags on her receptionist desk. His steel blue eyes glinted in happiness, "was she late because she was getting a present for me ?" he muttered.

Just in time, (Y/n) entered his office with a smile on her face.

"I'm back, Mr. Ackerman." She bowed.

"How's your father ?"

"Ah, he's doing well, thanks for asking sir."

The vice president clears his throat, "then shall we go for lunch ?"

Tiny beads of sweat begin to form on her face, "but I just had lunch." (Y/n)'s mind darted when Porco treated her at the restaurant before they went for 'clothes hunting'.

"Tch, I didn't."

"W-why not ?"

Levi crosses his arms, "why else ? I was waiting for you so we could eat together, obviously."

"Oh.. Porco wanted to have lunch with me, so... yeah. I guess that explains some things."

A huff escapes his mouth. On the other hand, (Y/n) starts to feel guilty for leaving her boyfriend starving just because he's waiting for her. "Is that why you got that gift for me, to apologize ? I saw you carrying some shopping bags when you came into the office." Levi pointed out, his eyes glazed with hope.

"Oh, that... they're my clothes."

"So you were late, having lunch, and shopping for yourself ? Did you ever think about me, who was waiting for you ? I'm fucking desperate to spend one more second with you, but it looks like you're not. How disappointing."

Seeing the CEO needy of her presence, the guilt begins to eat her up, "I'm sorry-"

"If you're sorry, then we should get off work and go to my place to continue where we left off that night."

"What ? Why are you looking at me like that, brat ?"

She purses her lips, contemplating whether she should say it or not, "nothing. There's just this word that you've been reminding me of. It's-"

"Let me guess, is it 'sexy' ?"

(Y/n) shook her head while flashing him a polite, yet sarcastic smile, "no. It's 'bulldozer'."

"....Why the fuck does bulldozer remind you of me ?"

"Because.." she grins, "simple, you're like a bulldozer, just razing through everything."

Levi's face is priceless, did he hear that right ? Did his girlfriend just call him a bulldozer ? Just what in the world is going on inside her head ? If it weren't for his ability to stay stoic all the time, his jaw would have dropped to the floor out of shock and disbelief. Oh well..
