"What do you mean by 'let's sleep together ??' What nonsense are you sayin-"

Levi lets out his infamous tongue clicking before crossing his arms, "how is this considered a nonsense brat ?"

"Of course it's nonsense, you're saying as if you.. you..."

"As if you want to move in !!" (Y/n) exclaimed, flailing her arms in the air like a headless chicken.

The man remains unfazed although he silently thanks the gods that his girlfriend isn't thinking about anything naughty, "I'm only going to spend a few days so it's not as much as moving in," he uttered. Good grief.. thank god she didn't think of sex. (Y/n) is way too innocent for that. Maybe..

"Hell no, my place is a one-bedroom apartment ! There's just one room so you can't stay there."

"That's why I suggested we go to my place.." Levi facepalmed, "but you were the one who turned me down. So step out of the way and let me in, I need to unpack my things first if you don't mind."

He suddenly pulls a black suitcase behind his back, leaving (Y/n) gaping in shock. Levi pushes the woman out of the way and enters her house after removing his shoes, welcoming himself. The vice president instantly heads to the cupboard while dragging his suitcase.

Poor (Y/n), still confused at what's going on.

(Y/n) closes the door and trails behind her boyfriend, eyeing every single thing he does. First, Levi opens her cupboard, the one he once got shoved into and locked inside by (Y/n), "I remember this place very well," he growled, recalling the unpleasant memory, "I thought women are fond of.. clothes. Yours are only a few."

"Thanks to you, I'll have plenty of space to store my clothes for the time being." Levi shrugs as he shoves his dress shirts and blazers neatly into her almost empty closet.

Then he approaches her dressing table with a small mirror in front of it, "this one also has plenty of space. Ms. (L/n), are you a minimalist ? The type of person that likes to live with less things."

"I just couldn't afford to buy things when I had a debt to pay off sir." Despite her irked state, (Y/n) forces herself to smile politely.

Seeing how quite annoyed her girlfriend is, Levi finally gets the message. He puts down his suitcase, which mainly consists of sanitary stuff and clean rug, and sets his attention to her, "Tonight, I'm here to be by your side, so you'll have a good night's sleep. Don't get mad at me yet." His voice sounds soothing yet pleading at the same time, making (Y/n)'s heart melt.

"Well, you can continue unpacking your... things here. I'm really tired so I'll head off to bed first."

(Y/n) walks towards her bed sluggishly before crawling under the covers to get the sleep she's looking forward to. She closes her eyes in bliss, surrounded by the comfort of her pillows. The woman was about to drift off into the dream land when suddenly she felt the bed dipping below a new weight beside her along with the sound of rustling fabric that smells... familiarly clean. (Y/n) turns her head to the side only to be met with a pair of steel blue eyes.

"What's with that look brat ?"

She blinked, "what are you doing here ??"

Levi clicked his tongue, "then where else should I go ? There's no way I'd sleep on the floor, it's too dirty for me."

"Uh..."

"Go to sleep brat." The man closes his eyes despite being an insomniac. But then he sensed something bright being turned on. With an annoyed face, Levi scrunches up his face and opens one of his eyes, "what the fuck.."

(Y/n) laughs nervously, "I.. I suddenly can't sleep, so I guess watching some anime would help me get drowsy."

"You watch those stupid animated series at this hour instead of working ?"

She purses her lips, 'how dare he.. anime is not a stupid thing !' But when she was about to play a new season of anime that she just found yesterday, Levi snatched her phone and grunted.

"I have an idea."

The feeling of entering his mansion with only shorts and T-shirt is something new to (Y/n), especially at this ungodly hour. With a small bag that consists of her spare clothes, work attires, and toothbrush, (Y/n) and her boss trotted inside the living room. To sum it up, Levi had forced her to stay the night at his place instead after he banned her from watching another season of an anime called 'Kimetsu no Yaiba'.

"I'll sleep in the guest room tonight."

"The guestroom ?"

She smiles at him, "yes, goodnight sir."

Levi furrowed his eyebrows, he didn't sign up for this. He didn't drag her all the way to his house just to sleep separately like complete strangers. Before he could say something about it, (Y/n) had already dismissed herself to another room, which is a part of his mansion that she had memorized from year to year after coming here countless times.

A few minutes later....

(Y/n) slides herself under the cover after brushing her teeth and organizing some things, then silence and darkness engulf the woman.

'Jeez.. it's kinda scary here.'

She reaches her hand to the bedside table to turn on a small lamp in hopes to be less scared. But then..

"ARGHH !!!"

The woman sat up from her laying position and scrambled backwards until her back hit the headboard of the bed brutally, her chest heaving up and down in fear that had doubled upon seeing the sudden appearance of an uninvited guest in the dark.

Levi is quick to sit beside her bed while examining her face, "Oi, are you alright ?"

"You scared the shit out of me ! You looked like a ghost, how long have you been standing there in the dark, sir ??"

He only blinked, looking pretty much unfazed.

"I scared you ?"

(Y/n) nods frantically, still keeping her distance from him, earning a sigh from her boyfriend, "I can't help it," Levi said, "your apartment was tiny so I could see what you were up to at all times. But not in my place, because it's so goddamn spacious. This is the first time I've found 'spacious' to be a hindrance." he sighs.

"So ?"

"I want to keep you by my side to make sure you're sleeping alright." Without waiting for her approval, Levi welcomes himself under the covers beside her and pulls his girlfriend down before pulling up the covers up to her shoulders, "don't worry, just sleep."

At first, it feels.. awkward.

Her muscles tensed and she didn't dare to make a move. (Y/n) decides to lay on her back while her boyfriend lies on his side as if trying to keep an eye on her. Slowly, the image of a little boy from her past came across her head. The fact that the man who's keeping her safe beside him is the same boy that comforted her on that stormy night somehow makes (Y/n) feel at ease and finally close her eyes in bliss.

Levi peered one eye open, seeing his girl had drifted off to sleep. He reaches out his hand to caress her hair softly, trying not to wake her up. He can't stop thinking how lucky he is to have (Y/n) (L/n) by his side after all he had gone through.

He came from a dirty place..

He was raised with a knife by his side..

He lived among criminals..

And.. He was born from a prostitute..

(Y/n) may not know about it yet, but he hopes that someday.. someday he'll be able to tell everything. He could only pray (Y/n) would still look at him the same and accept all of him when that day comes.

His train of thought was cut off when (Y/n) stirs in her sleep and lays on her side, only to throw an arm over his waist and tangle her leg around him, as if he's the source of her warmth. (Y/n) presses her head against his chest, and the faint sound of his beating heart brings a slight smile to her sleeping face.

The man went agape. At first, he has no guts to make a movement, afraid to wake her up. But Levi finally manages to relax. He presses his lips softly to her forehead before spooning her from the front.

"Sleep well, my long lost bride."
