Levi puts his hands behind his back as he eyed each of the 7 co-workers from the planning division in front of him, standing in line like children. When he caught Jean witnessing his previous action in the private office, Levi made a decision to call everyone into his office to have a 'talk'. For (Y/n), she's standing right beside the CEO himself, not joining the line of employees.

"I have something to announce."

Her eyes widened in anticipation, she looked up to him, 'is he going to reveal about us....?'

"Today is actually a very special day for me."

"Special...day ?" Eren quizzes.

The CEO nods, "yes. Today is..... 'The first communication day' that I've long had in mind. To put it simply, it's like sitting down and making eye contact with each and every one of you who have been working around the clock supporting me. And the first one to do it was Ms. (L/n), as you just witnessed earlier, Kirschtein. So now, let me proceed with the next employee in making eye contact. Springer, step forward."

"Y-yes sir."

Connie does as he was told, now standing face to face with his boss. Levi takes a deep breath before maintaining eye contact with the bald employee, it's really obvious that Connie is nervous as hell since he's sweating bullets.

Well, how could he not ? The most dangerous vice president is glaring through his damn soul like an eagle.

The raven haired man then nods, "alright. Thank you for your hard work. Now next-"

"Uh, Mr. Ackerman ?"

Her sweet and soothing voice caught Levi's attention, stopping him from moving on to the next employee, "we have piles of proposals that need your review. You'll need to confirm them so that our projects that are waiting can go ahead." (Y/n) sends him a smile.

"Is that so ?"

She nods, "yes sir."

"Sorry to disappoint you all," Levi turns to face the line of seven employees again, "but you'll have to look forward to the second communication day which will be held next year."

'I'm never doing this bullshit again, ever.'

Eren throws himself on the chair behind his usual work desk, "soooo... what's with this 'communication day' all of a sudden ?"

"Do you think Mr. Ackerman felt that our team lacked communication ?"

"No." Sasha says, "I think I know what's up. This is all because of.. Ms. (L/n) !" The brunette turns her head towards the confused secretary in a swift movement, pointing at the said woman.

(Y/n) takes a step back, "uh.. I don't know what you mean.."

"Come on, be honest. You kept it a secret from us, but..."

Thump..

Thump..

Thump..

"You proposed the idea to Mr. Ackerman, didn't you ? You suggested this day so he can take better care of us. Because Mr. Ackerman is never someone to come up with such a thing like that. I mean, it totally has to be your idea, (Y/n) !"

Some of them exhale in relief, thinking that they won't get fired for real since it turned out to be (Y/n)'s idea. Historia's eyes gleam with happiness, "is this true, Ms. (L/n) ?"

"Uh.. hahaha.. Yes, well..."

They broke into relaxed laughter, along with (Y/n) who tries to keep up with what the fuck is going on. Sasha's getting the wrong idea, but hey, at least it saved her.

"Oh my god it was so awkward that I almost died !"

"Dude, Mr. Ackerman is way scarier than the king of curses, Sukuna Ryomen, y'know ?"

"Gaaah ! I know rightt ?"

"Hey, but if he's really trying to look out for us, then it means there's no restructuring taking place, right ?" Armin asks, to which everyone shakes their heads and gives Armin a feeling of relief.

Mikasa ponders, "you're right. But how do you explain everything else ?"

Her question left everyone going back to silent, trying to think of an answer or something related to that.

On the other side, (Y/n)'s quivering.

'Aaaaah shit why do you have to be so damn sharp about everything Mikasa ?'

Now the poor secretary could only pray that the secret about her and Levi stays sealed, at least for now..

"Communication day, huh.."

Levi plainly mumbles to himself, recalling the previous sudden employees' assemblage in his private office, 'that was simply clever. I never thought I'd be able to make up a lie in a short period of time'.

His thoughts are interrupted when a certain secretary of his enters Levi's private office.

"Ms. (L/n)." Levi called, seeing her standing before him, "we got away with it so naturally, didn't we ?"

She inhales, "Mr. Ackerman."

"Hm ?"

"You managing things on your own.. it's making me uncomfortable." (Y/n) conveyed.

A small form of frown took over his face, "I think you had a slip of tongue. Don't you mean 'comfortable', not 'uncomfortable' ?'"

"No, it's not making me comfortable at all, sir. Because my pride won't allow special treatment just because I'm your girlfriend."

"Is it such a problem that I'm only doing my work ?" Levi squints his eyes.

"But it's been my work for the past ten years. So please, let me continue what I've been doing-"

"Ms. (L/n)," he cuts her off, "I understand what you said. But you know.. I don't want to make you do all those trivial.."

(Y/n) raises her eyebrows, "trivial ?" she questioned, "I made the effort to carry them out to perfection and I felt proud, watching how it pleased my boss. But how you described it just now.. I'm disappointed that you don't respect my work."

"I should be the one who's disappointed, brat," Levi retorted, "don't you really understand why I did all of that ?"

He opens his mouth again, "Do you think it was easy for me, trying to do something all by myself when all my life I've been serviced to ? It was hard, but still, I wanted to do it for you. I want to be good to you."

(Y/n) lowers her head, trying to comprehend what he just said, then she looks up to her boss again, "but then again, don't be like that from now on. This is our workplace, and it's still office hours. Even from now on, I have no choice but to carry on as usual, in order to keep the line between 'Ms. (L/n)' and '(Y/n) (L/n)'. Because I want to guard my territory too. So please understand." She ends it with an inaudible sigh.

"..you're too rational."

That was his only answer.

(Y/n) feels like she's had enough of this tense atmosphere, "well then, I'll be dismissing myself, sir." She turns on her heels and leaves his office, leaving her boss on his own.

'Tch, why do I feel this way.. What's this weird feeling in my heart ?'

A certain trainee has been glancing back and forth from her monitor to Levi's private office's window. Historia caught their vice president giving constant glares at the receptionist desk through his office window. Thus the uncomfortable feeling inside her starts to build up.

"Psst, Ms. (L/n) ?"

"Hmm ?" (Y/n) boredly hummed with her eyes still focused on the computer.

Historia gulps, "did you make a mistake in front of Mr. Ackerman ?"

"Nope. It's nothing like that."

"But it looks like it," the blonde pressed even further, "the mood between you two.. Ugh.. I don't know what it is, but can't you just apologize ? This is scaring me too much."

"Well, I don't think I've done anything wrong," (Y/n) retorts in defense.

This answer leaves Historia unsatisfied, "Still.. Until now, even if you did nothing wrong, you always just let Mr. Ackerman have his way, there's no doubt about it."

(Y/n) stops analyzing the document displayed on her monitor and her fingers stop typing for a brief second.
