Sorry it took so long! I had to re-write the chapter because the first version sucked butt.
Thanks to everyone who voted and commented! Maybe we can get this chapter up to ten votes? :3 If we can I'll make an extra long chapter!
Oh and that's what I imagine Caleb looking like->
Chapter Two.
“And once you tell her she has pretty eyes, yah lean in and kiss the fuck out of her.” I groan and roll my eyes. Ethan was once again giving me “helpful dating advice”. Honestly I’d probably believe it if I knew for a fact Ethan was in fact, just as innocent as I when it comes to dating. The only girlfriend I’ve had was back in second grade. Josie came up to me, punched me square in the jaw and then ordered me to be her boyfriend. Two minutes later she broke up with me because she said we were better off as friends. I didn’t even know who she was before the day before.
That’s how all great friendships begin, right?
“What if her eyes are ugly as shit?” I’m doing this only to amuse him.
Ethan taps his chin, “Why on earth would you be trying to get Josie in the sack?” He smirks over at the blonde.
“Bitch you maybe be chubby but I can fucking kick your ass.” Josie gives him the death glare. She’s not one to be messed with.
He pouts. “Ouch, that almost hurt my self-esteem.” Sure Ethan is a little over weight, but he takes pride in his “fluff”.
All in all, neither care what people think about them. I, on the other hand, panic when it comes to impressing people. I’m pretty sure I have some sort of anxiety problem, mom says it’s just me “transforming into a social butterfly”. Ha, No.

“Nothing can hurt your self-esteem. It’s buried so deep under all that fat.” Josie can seem a little harsh at times, but we’re all close best friends. Everything we say to each other is utterly sarcastic and stupid. “But why did you want to know how to kiss a chick?” She turns her attention to me. “There ain’t no girl wanting to kiss you.”
I roll my eyes. “If you remember correctly, Ethan brought the topic up. Not me.” Ha, take that.
“Whatever.” She waves me off. “When is this guy getting here? Reed was it?”
“About dinner time I guess.” I glance over at the clock. We still have a good four hours. “Why?”
“Because I want to leave before he gets here.”
“Why, afraid your ugly face will scare him off?” Ethan smirks.
Josie lets out an angry breath. “No, Ethan. Or should I say E-fat.”
I chuckle.
“That doesn’t even- oh, oh that’s just cold.”
“Sweetie, can you and Steve be dears and go get a few things from the store for me? I want to make a nice dinner.” Mom asks. Knowing she’d make me go I nod.
I really don’t like hanging around Steve too much. He’s the jock type who made fun of guys like me in high school. And yes on occasion he will throw out a few hurtful comments. I just try to ignore them.
As if on cue, Steve walks in still in his pajamas. He’s lazy. “Steve! Take your brother to the store!”
He freezes. “Hell no. He can take himself. I have a party to go to.”
“Steve, it’s not even four o’clock. What party starts that early?” I can tell he’d do anything to get out of being seen with me in public. “Idiot.”

“How would you know? The only parties you’ve been to are the ones the whole grade is invited to. And that’s only because the kid’s parents made them invite everyone. ” Is it bad that he’s actually right? The last party I went to was third grade. God that was horrible. The other kids locked me out of the house in the rain and of course my embarrassment wasn’t enough. Guess who caught pneumonia that day! Me!
I wasn’t allowed to go to parties after that.
“Enough boys! I’m tired of your fighting. Steve there will be no parties tonight! And Caleb you go to your room and stay there until Reed gets here!”
“So I don’t have to take him to the store?” It’s actually kind of sad how excited he sounds to not have to spend time with me.
Mom shakes her head. “I’ll just order some pizza.”
I grin and run back to my room. Now hopefully I can finish up my drawing! I sit down at my desk and open my sketch book to the right page. God this book is almost full. I’ll have to get another soon.
“Caleb! I need you to clean your room up and push the furniture around. We need to get the air mattress in there.” Mom yells from the kitchen.
I groan and close my sketch book. All I wanted was to finish my picture! But no, I can’t even do that. I have to clean up for stupid Reed even if I don’t want him here. Mom should clean up my room. Not me.
“Do I have to?”
“Yes!”
I groan and push my desk against the back wall. Of course it rubs against the hard wood floors and leaves a nasty scratch- Dad is going to kill me when he gets home. Well at least I can push the air mattress over top of the gash. It’ll save my ass for a while.
Reed isn’t even here yet and he’s already making my life crap! This is so not fair!
Once I grab the mattress from the hall closet and lay it out on the floor, I turn on the air…blower…thing. Of course it only works for about a second before shutting off.
“Mom where are all the batteries?” I open air blower and see it needs six AA’s.
“Check in the drawer under the TV. If there isn’t any then take some out from the remote.”
Luckily when I go to check I see a brand new pack of them. I quickly snatch them up and run back to my room. Once they’re in the air thingie I blow up the air mattress and sigh. Next is the hard part. Sheets.
I hate making the bed. I always mess up and somehow it takes me over half an hour. Reed can always make his own bed, right? Maybe I’ll just toss them on it and pretend like I made it. I’m sure mom will never notice….
…On second thought mom probably will notice.
I better make the bed.
“Alright, if you be nice to me today sheets then I promise we can get this done fast.” I first put on the fitted sheet, or whatever it’s call. However when I hook it around the bottom half of the bed the top half pops up. I groan and go to fix the top. Then the bottom decides to do the same.
“Really?” I grumble and go back to the bottom. I do it carefully and finally I get the first sheet down. That wasn’t so bad!
The top pops off again.
Dammit! I spoke too soon.
I knew the sheets were out to get me…

Needletongue, Carrotcake
The world isn't fair. If anything, the inherent injustice of the world is what separates it from the fiction we so adore. Luis Freighthold knew this all too well, and that was why it took a bit longer than it should have to realise when he suddenly had everything he could ever have wanted. Raised in a working-class single-father home, Luis had no other escape than fiction. Specifically, vampire stories of varying quality and genre. There was something appealing about the ability to fly, turn into shadows and become smoke. Danger. An unfamiliarity with the social world that rejected him so. Was it so wrong for him to hope for a different life? Maybe, maybe not. Either way, now he had it—a lust for blood and abilities beyond the understanding of civil man. Could you really say that he had anything left to complain about? A vampire story following an unconventional vampire boy forced to accept that maybe becoming a vampire doesn't magically solve all your problems. As a matter of fact, it might just make a whole bunch of them even worse. Regardless, Luis is prepared to try everything to live up to the vampire books he had previously gorged on. What did it matter that his vampire form had no teeth, replaced instead by a long, needle-tipped tongue? He was still a vampire, wasn't he? Chapters are around 10 A4 pages long, releasing once a week on Mondays, 01:00 CET.
