《Poems》All the things I can't say (you will)

The end is nigh and he stands before you

in all his glory as you fall apart,

all the while his infinitely blue eyes

gaze into your very soul, older than most,

while his stoic and emotionless mask cracks,

through which shine all the things he never said

that only now leak out in the form of tears

and you are afraid to drown in them,

yet you welcome this with open arms:

you surround yourself with his words,

let them wash over you like a calming breeze,

soothing in a way that only a reflexion

of your silent confession could ever be;

those three words sacred wrapping around you

in a safe embrace as you quietly accept his love

and goodbye in one shaky breath;

and he breaks like the glass of the mirror

in which you see a person

every morning, but still don't recognise,

having grown not resembling yourself anymore,

but inside you've chaged as well,

different than all those years before

when you were still innocent and naïve

and neither of you had the world with its problems

wearing down on your shoulders bare,

so now you don't know who you truly are:

body too big and yet so small for your fragile soul;

you've only come to know yourself

by looking through his eyes so clear;

now with words untold and chances gone,

you are lost once more till you see him again.
