《Poems》Feigned Idyll (by You)

The sweet smell of alcohol

carries through the cosy inn

as this stranger, cute and tall

opens the door and comes in.

His smile insecure warms my heart

as it undeniably makes for quite a sight.

He then pulls out a deck of playing cards

that entertain us throughout the night.

My friends take their leave soon,

not enjoying his comany much,

so only the two of us remain in the room,

free to share any open, desiring touch.

But at first we simply talk

about castles' ruins and their people

who its grounds once used to walk,

and how the world seems so little.

Then he reveals his secret passions;

painting, singing, writing and reading books,

and so he needs to clarify with his actions,

he takes a guitar and sings about my looks.

Dreaming of strings delicately pulled

and voice so tempting to sooth my hurt.

The whole night he really had me fooled,

but it was the loveliest sound I've ever heard.

His clear eyes lock with mine;

enamoured, I take off his glasses.

From up close, he smells so fine,

it takes me to my childhood places.

There are lips on mine, sweet and soft,

and both of us sigh quietly in relief.

Soon we can't seem to want to stop

as he becomes my fragile heart's thief.

My fingers clutch tightly his hair

and in turn he bruises my throat's skin.

We both part a bit to get some air

and both our mouths split into a grin.

Come morning and he is long gone,

even the bed has already become cold.

At least I have some time to mourn

and to write this story yet untold.
