《Poems》Malapert Desire - Ornery Humdinger

Bumping sounds of a small train

connecting with cold rails at night,

drunken thoughts clouding my brain

of how I could make this thing right.

Just when I start to give up,

start to push these ideas away,

I catch your gaze on me - sharp;

you never fail to make me sway.

Soft murmurs come from others,

as I get lost in you again.

Now I know there's nothing worse

than feeling this obscure pain.

Your eyes move subtly down,

soon shifting to look aside.

With that, you let me drown;

I'm ashamed, with broken pride.

Like this, you piece me togehter

before crushing all of my hopes.

To you it doesn't really matter

if around my neck are any ropes.
