《Poems》What was When Love Bloomed

An echo in a faraway hall,

a scream inside my head, miles away.

A slide down the wet stone wall,

slight breeze makes my thoughts sway.

From the sunny walks in the park

to the dry heat of our sore throats;

from the tender touches in the room dark

to the divided, unknown, infinite roads.

Each hasty turn we try to make

with every reckless step we take,

pieces after parts get lost again

in the cold, rainy, delicate pain.

Appears a face adorned by a smile,

eyes without life, completely dull.

Sharp teeth of a dead crocodile

slowly, gently shatter my pressured skull.

Yet greatly I want to feign ignorance,

feelings I will to stay safe and bitter.

Before this can start to make sense,

it will only end up mixed with litter.

Just the way you wanted it,

just the way I needed it;

all those years ago and now.

Just like we predicted it.

Until then, we are simply a mundane being,

so let's keep on lying, surviving, and living.

Maybe someday we shall reach

this "freedom" lie they all seem to preach.
