《Realm of Opportunity》2-16: Addio, Mia Cara

I leaned against the doorframe, smiling, and simply watched as Freya dressed in a fetching silver corset and Golden dress.
As she was situating her large breasts in the confines of the golden silk, I placed the necklace around her neck slowly, and kissed her neck.
She froze, and then stroked the Red Diamonds. "Not Rubies... but Diamonds?" She smiled.
"As if I'd give a beautiful woman rubies! Hardly cousin's to Chrysanthemum, in my opinion... how do you like it?" I asked.
She stroked the design gently. "It's beautiful..."
"Yes. Silver and Diamonds... And so it will accent your beauty. I hoped I wasn't making it too... ostentatious. I wouldn't want it to distract from your lovely skin, after all." I hummed.
"You made this?" She asked softly.
"Mm. When I left, yesterday, I went to see Loki before the Tournament, and she updated my stats. As I said, I am now Lvl 3, almost 4. And my new Ability was Mystery." I chuckled softly.
She smiled. "You grow more and more enticing every time you open your mouth..."
I smirked. "I'd say the same for you, but I fear you'd think me Lewd."
She laughed softly, like bells in the wind. "Oh I know you're Lewd, Xavier Dorian, but you're also a gentlemen, so it is well-balanced, I'd say."
I grinned. "It's a relief to hear you say that. Now, what's this you're getting all dressed up for?"
"Well, the Gods who participated in the Tournament are having a Banquet, to speak about the... Outcome of the War Games." She said simply.
"Ahhh... as Loki Won, you all have to do one thing she commands... I'll ask her not to be too harsh on you." I assured her, and kissed her neck.
She smiled. "That is appreciated. Now, I must be going, I will be a bit late, which is perfect."
I chuckled and moved slowly. "Unfortunately, I cannot try to keep you longer... Loki gave me orders to go check off a mystery contract. I only came to give you the necklace." I sighed, disappointed.
She nodded. "Indeed. I will call for you, after the banquet. I have a feeling I'll need your comforting touch." She kissed my cheek, and walked out languidly, like a sleek panther.
I sighed. "Beautiful...
After she left, I disabled the Godly Mirrors, and then left as well, finding Loki about to enter a carriage in front of the Castle. "Alright. She's wearing the necklace, and headed to the Banquet. You have the stuff?" I asked.
She held up her briefcase. "All accounted for. I'll be going now. If any of them escape, it's up to you to stop them."
"I told her I'd ask you to go easy on her. So I will. Go easy... and by easy, I mean try not to cut her head off. Don't get blood on my necklace." I grinned.
Loki shook her head, chuckling, and opened the door. "Come on, you can't miss this."

I grinned and climbed in. "Hehe! And so my Trick comes to an end... which Adventurers do you want?" I asked curiously.
She hummed. "I like the idea of having Ottar, but he's too loyal to her... and there's quite a few others in the other Familia's that I've got my eyes on..."
"Make sure you get Otto and James from Ares. They're my Bartenders and Bouncers." I nodded.
She chuckled. "Oh absolutely. I'm going to make them all give me all of their contracts, and their stuff, then leave Orario forever, one way or the other."
I nodded. "Could be worse. You could order them to go to Heaven."
She smirked evilly. "I could, couldn't I? That's why these idiots need to stop playing War Games. They always lose so much worse when they're so cocky to start off with."
We arrived at the Guild Hall, not the Tower, and I hummed, escorting Loki in, as my clothes changed to a suitable formal attire.
Loki looked up, and hummed. "I've just noticed... what those pieces of silver in your ears?" She asked.
"Hmm? My earrings? Nothing special, just sterling silver." I shrugged.
She smiled evilly. " Silver?"
"Yes? Why?" I asked.
"Silver in this realm comes from the Dungeon, not mines. So silver that comes from your world is infinitely more valuable, both for its rarity and it's ability to negate or disrupt magic. It's one of the reasons we gods left Midgard." She explained.
I nodded. "I see. So that's why my Necklace worked so well, and didn't make me Mind-Down after I made it... I used Midgardian Silver."
She nodded. "Most likely." She reached a door, and sighed. "And this is where you have to leave, in afraid..."
I smirked and placed the cap of invisibility I'd whipped up after the necklace on my head. "You were saying?" I chuckled.
She laughed softly. "Hmm, okay, no speaking, though, and stick to the edge of the room."
"Good... and remember, I had no part in this! I don't want a Goddess of Love after me!" I hissed, slipping off into the fringe of the room.
The gods milled about, talking and eating, and once Loki entered, people gazed at her happily. "Oh! Round three with Hestia?!?" They whispered.
She ignored Hestia, however, and even Hephaestus, and walked directly up to a man from the guild, speaking to him softly and handing him the briefcase.
Then she sat in a chair, and simply smirked as guild employees began quietly walking up to goddesses and gods, asking them for 'just a moment of their time'.
Once they were all gone, the gossip started, headed by Loki, who had spoken to a few gods after sitting down. Hestia approached confused. "Oi? Loki, what's going on?"
She smirked. "It's nothing your tiny brain could handle, dummy. Just go eat all the free food you can stuff your face with, and keep yourself out of the firing line." She said saltily.

Hestia growled, but Hephaestus had grasped the situation, and so she placed a hand on Hestia's shoulder gently. "I think we should go, Hestia... I think it's about to get very nasty in here..."
Her single eye was tracking a person walking towards Freya shakily.
Hestia looked, then blinked in shock. "Oops... I think you're right, Phae-Phae... let's go." They quickly retreated to the edge of the room, near me, and I smiled.
The man spoke quickly, so as to avoid stumbling. "Lady Freya, you have been accused of abusing your Godly Power without the permission of the Guild on multiple occasions, and most recently and notably, to the effect of creating portals into other realms without heed to the dangers caused by these portals... please, before these divine witnesses, assert your innocence or guilt."
I breathed the trigger spell. ""
She spoke confidently. "Of course I did." Her eyes narrowed slightly, and she touched her cheek. "I didn't mean to say that..."
"So you plead guilty, Lady Freya?" He asked again, with more confidence.
"Of course I'm guilty. But you will forget these charges because I, Freya, ask it of you." She touched his cheeks, and he stepped away.
"Then I must declare you guilty, and by order of Lord Ouranos, I command you to leave your mortal form, and return to Heaven, to receive punishments from Odin Allfather." He said clearly, and frowned.
She trembled with confusion and rage, and I smiled sadly when I saw a tear on her cheek as she pulled out her divine essence, only for it to be absorbed by my necklace.
Loki pulled it off swiftly, and examined it. "Hmm... . Seems your lover didn't know he was stopping you from using your powers... good by, lovely girl, I'll take good care of your Familia." She smirked.
Freya activated her Divine Ability, and then simply dissolved. A pillar of light streaked upwards, and I smiled as 7 more quickly followed, all 8 gods and goddesses that I had originally planned to destroy. Finally, two more, which I hadn't expected, followed after a moment of hesitation.
Of the many different Familia's in my Games, only Ishtar and Loki remained.
I frowned and sat on my heels, waiting for Loki to make her exit, but instead she began socializing, bragging about her new acquisitions. I settled in for a long haul, sighing silently.
---
I stared out the window as we went back to the Castle.
"Why are you so angry?" Loki asked.
"It was trick. You it. You it up." I snapped, and looked back out the window.
She hummed. "I see. I don't often collaborate with others on their tricks, I just saw an opportunity, and took it."
I tsk'ed. "An 'opportunity' of own making. I worked for almost on this Trick. That's almost as long as I've been in this !" I growled. "And the entire time, all you could say was 'I'll be impressed when you pull it off', then you " I roared, suddenly unable to contain myself.
She blinked, and looked out her window. "I apologize."
I snorted. "Right. That helps. Let's just get you home safely, and deal with the influx of new people tomorrow." I grumbled.
I left her at the Castle, and then made my way to St Vincent's, falling into my bed.
---
I sighed and handed Loki the next sheet of paperwork off of the mountain of new people she had to scan, sign, and separate into piles of Intake or Transfer.
The guild had shown up this morning with the massive binders of paperwork, as well as a ring of keys and a map, which Loki gave to me, and led to where the Guild had placed all of the 10 God's hoards and other things, though their houses and properties were also mine, now.
Loki looked at me. "I can handle the paperwork. Go check out those places. Take an appraiser, and claim anything useful for our Familia, and bring it back, have the guild monetize the rest."
I nodded and went to do as I was told.
---
I stepped onto the last plot of land, an extremely large area with a massive garden, as well as a large Vineyard and Manor, all surrounded by massive walls.
I laughed softly. "Freya's place, no doubt."
I wandered around, and found Ottar, sitting amongst the orchard, staring up into the branches off an apple tree.
I hummed. "Hello, Ottar. You're bored?"
He blinked slowly. "Lost, I suppose." He murmured, and stood up.
I nodded. "Yeah... I understand. I asked Loki to be lenient... but I guess gods do as they please." I muttered, and sat down against a different tree. I thunked the trunk, and an apple fell into my hand.
He sat back down. "Hmm... no one can know the mind of a god." He said simply.
I bit into my apple, and leaned back, chewing the sweet fruit as I relaxed.
---
I uncovered mother's eyes, and stepped back as Johnny let Zoë see.
We watched as they went from surprise to happiness, and then from there to wonder, and curiosity.
"And this is all yours, Xavier?" Mother asked.
"No, no. It's you and Zoë's. and there'll be plenty of people to work the vineyards and orchards, don't worry. This year's wine has already been casked, bottled, and stored, so there's no worries there." I smiled.
She grinned and grabbed me into her best bone-crushing hug, (which did nothing to me,) and then dragged me and Zoë off into the manor to explore.
I grinned and rolled my eyes when she found the kitchen, which was industrial sized, and obviously built for ten or more chefs.
She started talking about plans to make the place into a Inn/Eating house, and I allowed her and Zoë their fun.
Zoë seemed amused by the idea of opening her own brothel in the back of the property, which had its own gate, that led into a maze of alleys, for a swift and convenient getaway, and also an inconspicuous location.
I just sat on the counter, eating whatever mother baked while they talked, a bad (but tasty,) habit of hers.
