"Old Lian, look! My son and your daughter actually knows each other!" A happy voice bellowing suddenly made Yun Xie shocked out of her wits. She looked beside her and she saw her father intently looking at the both of them, she and the annoying guy. Another middle-aged man was beside them, actually crying tears of joy.

"Quickly tell father, when did you two meet?" With a serious voice, Yun Lian's ice cold eyes closed for a moment before meeting his daughters calm eyes. He did not expect that this girl would meet her fianceé earlier than he could propose their engagement cancellation to his friend.

"Just a moment ago." Carefreely responding, she unconsciously got her hand back on the wine glass and absent-mindedly thinking of her father's look just now. After she heard a snicker, Yun Xie came back to her senses.

"Pardon me. I was spacing out a bit." Not looking at the man just in front of her, she slammed the glass on the table as she gritted her teeth again.

Yun Xie focused her attention to her father. Unfortunately, another hearty bellow was again heard. "Girl, you are so gorgeous, you know that? Look at you, so mature! You really live up to my expectations as my son's fianceé!" Yun Xie was stunned for a moment.

"Old Tian!" Yun Xie heard her father swear. But it did not matter right now. What matters is what this Old Tian has said!

"Who's the fianceé of who?" Anyone can say that Yun Xie is really angry right now. Her voice was calm but was also laced with coldness, as if saying another bad thing can end up as someone being slaughtered instead.

An amused 'oh' was then heard. "So you were actually my fianceé all along." Standing up, the man walked beside Yun Xie. "I thought I was going to be disappointed. Turns out that I already want to have a wife." He then kissed the back of her hand. Yun Xie could not help but subconsciously shiver from the guy's cold lips touching her bare skin.

"Tian Ming Jue! Behave yourself! You two just met!" Although Old Tian was berating and was scolding his son, the twinkle in his eyes cannot be hidden. This made Yun Xie seethe in anger and just want to refute but cannot disrespect an elder at all.

While the music was still lively, it contrasted Yun Lian's gloomy appearance. "Old Tian, I'm sure my daughter Xie'er does not like to be set up with." The crackle in Yun Lian's voice cannot be hidden as he stared at the Yun Xie and Tian Ming Jue pair. Seeing their lovey dovey attitude, his dark aura was released even more.

Yun Lian was scolding himself in his mind. This should not be happening. He plans to break the arranged marriage between the two and make his second daughter, Yun Luo Mei, the fianceé of Tian Ming Jue! His sole purpose why he invited Yun Xie was for her to personally break the engagement. That way, there will be a higher chance for it to be cancelled.

"What does not like to be set up with? Even if we did not set them up, one look at them and they will surely have a future together! Ah, my son is finally putting a woman in his eyes!" Old Tian was still daydreaming until Yun Lian exploded. His face was all red from anger. He is angry to his daughter but cannot show it, so he vented his anger on himself instead.

"Yun Xie, let's go home this instant!" His loud remark broke the Old Tian's daydream and the pair's argument. This shouldn't be happening! Tian Ming Jue was supposed to be Mei'er's!

Yun Xie on the other hand stood up, completely ignoring the pouting Tian Ming Jue beside her. Giving him one last glare, she proceeded and walked behind her father. She definitely does not want to walk side by side with him. People will be shocked if her so-called father would suddenly collapse to his death.

On the way home, Yun Lian and Yun Xie did not talk until they reached her mansion. After she went out of the car, Yun Lian immediately speeds off. This made Yun Xie think, just how did she provoke her father?

Well, not like she cares, anyway.

Thinking up to this, Yun Xie finally decided to go straight to her bedroom and have her beauty rest. First thing in the morning, she will definitely start preparing all the things she needs to prepare before the apocalypse breaks out.

She suddenly remembered her system.

"You still there, System?" Yun Xie asked, not speaking but only using her mind. After wearing her silk night gown and undoing the pins on her hair, she immediately jumped to her bed.

"Replying to Mistress, System is currently on hibernation."

Yun Xie's silk night gown hugged her body tightly, showcasing her beautiful curves in the right places. Her jade skin was displaying under the lit pink lamp inside the dim bedroom, making it look ethereal. Her very long shiny hair draped from her shoulders to her buttocks. Yun Xie was simply breathtaking and very seductive from her appearance just now.

Yun Xie hugged her pillow and continuously talked with the System inside her mind, occasionally closing her eyes. "What is this hibernation you are talking about?"

"I hibernate everytime I go idle or if I am not talking with Mistress, explaining anything to Mistress, or helping Mistress with some things."

Yun Xie hmm-ed, barely keeping her eyes open. When suddenly, the System loudly stated, "I have something important to update Mistress about." Yun Xie did not answer but waited for the 'something' that the System was about to say.

"While hibernating, I upgraded myself to the peak. With my upgraded version, Mistress will definitely benefit! When doing specific actions, Mistress can pick up its skill and can upgrade it until the peak of its mastery! What do you think, Mistress? Aren't I, this System, so powerful?"

Truly a great news! Sadly, Yun Xie was not even listening from the start as she is already currently in hibernation mode.
