《Love at First Fight》Sweet Moments

(Y/n)'s POV
I wake up before Gally and smile to myself hearing his soft snores ring through the room. I pull myself out of bed and change while Gally is asleep. The small dirty mirror in our room reveals that my hair was in tangles from not taking out my braid last night before bed. I stare at my long hair at this point it was getting far down my back. I grab a pair of scissors and begin cutting away at the long strands.
I didn't cut enough for it to be super short but now it was at a comfortable length at my shoulders. As I looked into the mirror I remember when I first entered the maze, my hair was this short then too. "You look beautiful, but I hope you plan on cleaning up the mess you left behind," Gally says peering over at me from the bed. I turn around and ruffle my hair letting loose strands fall.
"I think I'll leave it there it gives the room some character," I tell him smirking he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me back down to the bed. I laugh as he peppers my shoulder with kisses "how do you want your hair braided today?" he asks smiling at me and sending butterflies through the way only he can. "A small braid just at the front of my hair and leave the rest free," I tell him he raises an eyebrow "what's the point of braiding it then?" he quizzes.
"The point is that I still get your hands running through my hair," I tell him my eyes staring deeply into his. I don't know what it is about today, but he was irresistible today and all I wanted was to be right here with him. "I wish I could stay in here with you all day," I tell him my eyes flicking over his face as I cup it in my hands. He laughs lightly as he leans into my touch "Me too," he says before he kisses me passionately.

We only stay like that for a minute, but I feel like it's a lifetime, an amazing beautiful lifetime. "Come on let me braid your hair," he says lifting out of the head so he can braid easier. I sigh happily as I feel the familiar feel of his hands in my hair, but sadly it doesn't last long him finishing the small braid quickly. "As much as we rather stay here, we need to get going," he tells me causing me to frown slightly.
I get up anyways and we walk to breakfast hand and hand as usual. I grab my bowl from Fry and he stops me "(Y/n) I think I need to cash in my favor today, one of my cooks is out sick. Want to grab an apron today?" he quizzes and I know he needs help if he's asking me. I was a horrible cook when I tried out the job. Fry was begging me to get out of his kitchen by the end of the day, but I nod at him "after breakfast I'll gather the dishes in here and head back," I tell him smiling at him.
"Thanks (y/n)," he tells me before I walk over to the table "looks like you'll be missing a slicer today," I tell Winston as I begin eating and Winston frowns "did that slithead cash in?" he quizzes upset knowing today was the big stuff. I nod "I'm afraid so, but I'm sure Trey can help with the big stuff today," I tell him causing Winston to scoff. "Yeah before he cuts himself again and ends up with the medjacks," he tells me.
"I can help if you need it," Gally tells Winston shocking Winston "thank you Gally, but are you sure your builders can manage?" he asks looking over at the group goofing off at the end of the table. Gally nods "We don't have anything big to do today. It's tables and chairs and if they can't do that then I'll have them switched out for sloppers tomorrow," Gally says tossing a glance at the builders.

I smirk at his response and kiss his cheek "Thank you for helping him," I say to him quietly so only he can hear. We usually aren't the ones for public displays of affection or sweet comments in public. I see a light pink tint dust over his cheeks as I stand to clear the tables and go into the kitchen. "Have a good day boy," I say to Gally and Winston as I enter the kitchen for the day.
