《The Roommate: A Mathew Barzal Fanfiction》Epilogue

My boyfriend was kind enough to bring me here in Edmonton to watch the Stanley Cup Championship game of Dallas Stars versus Pittsburgh Penguins.

Mat's Dad told me that he never watches the championship game live eversince he made it to the NHL, and right now it was a great surprise that he's seating next to me here in the Executive suites of Roger's Place arena overlooking the sea of hockey fans broken up with colors black, yellow, victory green and white.

We're currently in the middle of the second period and the Stars is obviously taking over the Penguins. I'm totally not enjoying this whole game to be honest although the intensity of the game is out of the roof. Probably because, I root for the both teams.

My favorite players Tyler Seguin and Kris Letang are playing on both teams and I just can't help but chose nothing and support for the both teams instead.

When the Stars shoot a score during a power play courtesy of Seguin himself, I couldn't help but squeak a little and clapped my hands.

I noticed also a woman holding a kid wearing Star jersey cheering and saying the word. "Daddy scored!"

"Daddy scored?" I asked Mat repeating the words.

Mat gave me a puzzled look.

"How come I didn't know that Tyler Seguin already has a child?"

"Probably because he didn't told you because he doesn't know you?" He answered which made me glare at him.

I know, I'm being jackass for getting easily annoyed when someone is throwing sarcasm out of my way and yet I am sarcastic myself. I looked over my shoulder again to look at the blonde girl, she's stunning.

"Babe, why do you look like you want to steal that girl's position in Seguin's life?" Mat said grabbing my face to look at him.

"Jade, you're boyfriend is here. I'm just right here. Eyes up here, baby." He added pointing to himself. "If you want a baby, then let's go make one!"

Mat's parents who are sitting next to him snorted.

"Shut up!" I said punching his shoulder slightly.

"Seriously babe, if you want one. We'll have it." He said in a low tone, just loud enough for only the both of us to hear and I couldn't help but feel so overwhelmed and glad that he is willing and ready to have a baby with me.

"You already have a baby." I said grinning at him.

His eyes widened which sends me to laugh.

"Calm down Barzy, I'm not pregnant." I said. "What I meant is me, I'm your baby."

He snorted and kissed me on my lips. "Of course you are."
