The puck drops and the centerman of the Islanders wins the faceoff and passed it towards one of their defensemen. I'm so nervous right now! I have never been on a hockey game feeling so damn nervous like this. The nerves I felt during their first game few days ago became worst today knowing that this is the last game of the series if the Islanders does win.

Pastrnak tried to snap a score but gets blocked by the goalie and that earned a loud oh of disappointment from the crowd. Especially from the two men next to me, my Dad and Uncle Bennie.

To be honest, I feel so stupid out here.

I'm literally wearing a Bruins jersey right here because I promised to cheer on each team alternately. Yet, I am secretly rooting for my boyfriend's team. I know he hates about me cheering for other teams and players aside from him, but after our dinner Mat didn't reacted about it at all. Or maybe he chose not to because we're talking about family team out here. Besides, we haven't seen each other since the dinner because of his practice.

Eight minutes on the clock, Mat is chasing the puck from the opposing team. He's way too fast, I'm even having a hard time in keeping my gaze on him. Mat was able to snatch the puck from the other team running towards the other side, he made a saucer pass to Eberle and they shoot a beautiful score.

I wasn't able to help myself but to jump on my feet as I clap my hands.

"You might want to remove the jersey you're wearing miss?" My Uncle Bennie called and then it just dawned to me how the people around me looking at me weird.

"Oh shit! That was awkward." I said giggling as I settle back on my chair. "Oh my god I really need to remove this jersey Dad. I have to root for Mat tonight."

Both of them chuckled.

"You're a disgrace to the family!" Uncle Bennie called smirking.

"Just like your own daughter!" My mom barked back and three of my folks were chuckling.

"That was a good assist, by the way!" Dad commented which earned a wide smile from me.

He didn't talk about Mat that much after the dinner but I can really tell that he likes him. During the dinner I can see the awe on his eyes in there as he listens to my boyfriend answering their questions. On every game, as Mat was warming up and says Hi to us right before he disappears to the tunnel. Both my Dad and Mom nodded at him looking so honored and I couldn't help but feel even more happier than ever.

The second period commences with a 4-3 score in favor of the Islanders. Honestly, the New England weather and the arena all in all is totally cold but I couldn't help but perspire as I lock my gaze on Mat.

He looks so hypnotizing on the ice, he's already tall but with skates on?

He's huge.

The next shift of him facing against my favorite Bruins player Pastrnak was intense that I couldn't help but hold unto my mom's arms seeing how the two of them smashing each other's sticks just to get the puck.

Pastrnak managed to steal it and jammed a shot the score is tied down sending the whole crowd into a loud roar causes the whole TD Garden to shake.

Both of my Dad and Uncle shouted mocking me. Honestly, I should feel sad or anything but watching this game was different as hell.

This is a do or die game, I am nervous as fuck but I'm totally having a blast at the same time.

Bruins asses got handed to them.

Islanders crashed the home team sending everyone on the arena with complete dismay, except for my family though. My folks were so impressed with the Islanders tonight, especially with Anders who's definitely the hero of tonight's game.

"Who's ass got kicked out now?" I commented beaming at my Uncle Bennie as we are on the way to where Tori is at.

Tori was seating at the Executive Suites as what Anders instructed her, because you know, she's pregnant and seating beside the wild hockey fans on the arena might harm her.

"Bruins haven't gelled up much yet. Don't get too confident, we'll see each other again." My uncle replied chuckling.

He's fund of showing people that he is a die-hard fan of Bruins and doesn't give a shit about having a son-in-law who plays for the Islanders, but we definitely know how proud he is for Anders.

He even brags about it, if Anders is not around of course.

Few minutes later Tori met us, rubbing her huge tummy. She's seven months along two more months and her little baby girl will arrive and I'm way too excited to meet her.

"This baby never stopped from kicking!" She blurted out.

"Oh my god. Is she kicking right now?" I said with wide eyes. "Can I touch it?" I asked when Tori nodded.

"She clearly knows that her Dad is currently playing. She's probably cheering too." My mom commented as I am planting my hands at Tori's tummy feeling the baby kicks on my hand.

My jaw dropped in complete fascination about this and I couldn't help but start talking to the baby.

"Hey little one, it's Auntie Jade here." I said in the sweetest tone I can ever mutter. "Can't wait to see you soon baby gi--"

Then I got silenced by Tori slapping my hands, only realizing that Anders came into the scene and I almost blurted out the baby's gender.

"Sorry." I whispered.

Anders and Mat joined our little group, and my folks said their congratulations to them. Anders started mocking my Uncle and Dad about the loss, but Uncle Bennie brushed it off by telling Anders on not to get too confident which earned a series of snorts from us.

As my family enjoyed themselves with a little conversation about the game, Mat secretly planted his hands on my shoulder squeezing it.

Knowing Mat, I know what's going on right now. He literally wants to be physical with me but he can't since my parents are here. I'm not gonna lie it's really cute to see a scared shy type Mat in front of my parents.

"I see you later?" Mat asked in a low tone that only the both of us can hear.

I nodded looking up on him.

"Text me." He said and beamed towards my parents to great them and left to head back to the locker room.

"We should get going." My mom said. "The game is pretty exhausting."

Tori nodded. "Yeah, we should. I'm tired as well, the baby didn't stopped from kicking the whole time."

"I'll just go grab my things and say few goodbyes." Ander said kissing his wife at the forehead.

"Okay. We'll just wait in the car." Tori said.

I took a deep breath right before finding my voice. "Mom, wouldn't you mind if I stay with Mat tonight?"

I'm expecting dagger eyes from my Mom and Dad but instead, I only see a teasing smile from Mom and a nod from Dad. I'm old enough, and been living away from them since college but as an only child they tend to be overprotective at times especially around boys. But this one is different, and I'm very happy with that.

"Of course." My mom said still plastering that teasing smile. "You need to celebrate the win."

"I'm so jealous!" Tori announced. "If I'm not pregnant, I'm surely be celebrating at some random bar here with you guys too."

I was surprised.

Mat didn't mentioned anything about celebrating at the bar tonight. Tori saw the surprise and confusion on my face so she automatically supplied it.

"Oh! The team always hit a bar on a certain city every after the last game of the year. Win or lose." She started blabbing. "I remember when Anders and I are still dating, I got really drunk in Nashville. What a night that was!"

Now I'm palpitating.

The last time I was with a bunch of Mat's teammates was during the Islander's dinner.

Yes, I was fine.

But the nerves I felt prior to that night was the worst causing me to act stupid in front of Mat. Now, if Tori is right about hitting a bar later I don't think I can be calm.

I know Mat is gonna be there but I don't want him to babysit or hold my hand the entire time. His team won tonight, he should be celebrating and hang with his friends right before he heads back to Vancouver for the holidays.

I probably shouldn't go with him. I'll probably just wait at his hotel room.

I sighed.

Mat and I have different worlds and again, I still don't know how will we able to work it out and met our worlds together.

Damn it! What the fuck is wrong with me?
