And here I am...
In New fucking Jersey!
Out of guiltiness and extreme concern of my cousin's safety. I agreed to come with her inorder for her to see her husband's game.
Yup! Only her, plus Collins and his friend Alex. I decided to just stay in the hotel room and pretend that I have some work to do. But the truth is I don't.
I even purposely brought my laptop along with me and some bullshit old papers from last year's client as a props just so Collins and Tori won't force me to come along.
Yeah right, I'm that smart and desperate to never seeing Barzal!
"You sure you're okay being alone here?" Tori asked doing her makeup using my own kit.
"I'm perfectly fine." I said opening my laptop and grab the papers pretending to read.
What an actress!
Few minutes later, Tori bid goodbye and leave me in my lonesome. I set the laptop on the bed and decided to turn the tv on, I browsed to different channels looking for some show that will interest me but I found nothing.
I turned it off and use my phone instead looking for some place nearby to go grab something to eat and chill. It's still seven in the evening, Tori won't be back until maybe nine?
I don't know. Besides, I barely have time to go chill on a different city every weekend so I might as well took the chance to explore New Jersey for myself instead of sulking in the hotel room.
I changed into my black skinny jeans and white tank top and threw my favorite leather jacket on. Few moments later, I went out of the hotel and started to mob the street of New Jersey.
I found this cute tea house earlier as I browse on the cute places to see nearby, so I am planning to go there to drink some tea and chill.

Our hotel is just few blocks away from the rink where the game is held so I'm not surprise that I walked past several people wearing New Jersey Devil and New York Islanders jerseys.
I even almost tripped when I saw someone, wearing a Barzal jersey. Heck! He still do affects me.
Obvs. It's been only two weeks Jade!
I arrived at the tea house and there are only few people in there. I immediately went to the counter and ordered a milk tea and a cheesecake. I settle on the farthest table on the corner near the window and started to enjoy my solitude.
An asian cute girl then approached my table serving my orders.
On the far end corner, there are few young customers shouted looking at the tv and as I watched the screen. They're watching the game.
It's still five minutes on the first half of the game and the Devils is already on the lead with 2-1.
As much as I don't want to see the game, I can't help myself. I love watching hockey, it's so intense and it's been a while since the last time I saw one.
I stayed there the whole time watching the game, and I can't help but secretly yelping when the Islanders scores goals on the second half courtesy of Anders and Devon Toews overtaking the other team's score.
When the third half commenced, the Islanders scored immediately three minutes on the game coming from the beautiful pass from Brassard to Mat finally leading them with 4-2 score.
I almost choke on the milk tea as I feel my heart jump into my throat as Mat's face filled the whole tv screen.
He have grown stubbles now, god! I do like him a lot.
By the end of regulation with the Islanders winning the whole series. I left the tea house and went back to the hotel to rest.

After the intense game we have against New Jersey Devils and winning the whole series. I am nothing but pomped to head to the hotel, pack my things, rest and wait until the sun rises to go home.
I badly want to see Jade.
After the argument we had, I was dying to set things right with her but because of my game schedules. I wasn't able to do so, fighting with her is a torture!
Once I got back home tomorrow, I won't waste any time but to confront her and tell her what I actually feel about her.
I like her a lot.
We head to the conference room for a quick interview, few minutes later. Afterso, we head back to the locker rooms again.
"Can't wait to be home with my wife." Anders said as we walk back.
We're going back home tomorrow for the home game against Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
But speaking of which, Tori suddenly came out of the scene completely surprising Anders.
"Tori!" He exclaimed. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"Hi honey!" Tori said hugging her
husband. "I told you I want to come. Congrats on the game by the way."
"Nice score in there Mat!" She said beaming on me then two men appeared behind her. I recognized the other one, it's Collins.
Shit! If Collins is here, then for sure Jade is here too.
"I told you not to drive all the way here." Anders said.
"I didn't! Alex did." She answered pointing at the blonde guy standing next to Collins. I smiled on that thought, sarcasm do really runs on their blood. "And Jade."
That have gotten my attention.
"Where is she?" I immediately asked.
"She's in our hotel room sulking-- I mean sleeping." Collins answered smiling at me widely. "I'm Collins by the way, Jade's number one bff."
I took his hands and shook it. "Yeah, she talks about you all the time. I'm Mat."
"You're really are a stubborn woman." Anders beamed to his wife, kissing her on the lips. "What hotel are you guys staying?"
"Four seasons." She answered.
"Okay. I'll meet you there I just have to check out on our hotel and pack my things." Anders said.
"Good." Tori said. "We're leaving early tomorrow anyway, Jade's been so busy with her job. What about you Mat?"
"Actually, can I come with you guys?" I replied. "I seriously don't want to ride on the bus tomorrow, I want to go straight home."
I said, but the truth is... I'm coming because I really want to see Jade.
