Elissa pov*

The time was like suspended we were still on the ground in a heavy silence; Adrian was fixing the wall lost in his own thoughts. The ringtone of the phone bring him back. I saw him frowning when he looked at the number but answered it quickly

"Yes" He said. I didn't know who it was or what this person said but Adrian literally jumped from his place. At this moment I fear the worst I stood up as well looking and searching in his eyes for something to reassure me. He remained silent with his fist clenched and a red face like ready to explode.

"Adrian..." I said softly

He finally spoke

"Don't make anything stupid or you will regret it badly" He hung up quickly after that, passing his hands in his hair with frustration.

"Adrian talk to me" I said calmly. He let out a deep breath

"I know where Lucas is I will bring back"

"Where is he? With who? Who called you?"

He didn't respond just walked to the door after taking his coat which was on the chair but I grabbed his forearm to stop him

"Are you going to answer me or not?"

"Where Lucas is? Who called you?"

"You will have our son in your arm in some minutes, that's the only thing that matters"

"For God sake Adrian tell me what are you hiding" I said grabbing his hands. He sighed deeply diverting his eyes from mine

"I am waiting" I insisted

"It's...it's Tanya who kidnapped Lucas"

"What?..." I couldn't believe it, I let go of his hands

"She didn't... accept that I left her so... she wanted... revenge"

"Oh my God did she do something to my baby?"

"No, no she wants me to go to her"

I looked at him with widened eyes, so all of this was just about his love sick ex-fiancé.

"You are telling me that my son is in danger with this crazy bitch because she wants you?"

"Oh my God, all this is because of you!" I screamed

"Babe no..."

"Of course it is, you were engaged to this bitch she couldn't accept when you left her and she came after me and my son!.. It was always been because of you... every time you have to ruin my life"

"Don't say that please..." He said with a trembled voice and hurt in eyes trying to catch my hands but I jerked him away. I didn't care he is the reason of all my misfortunes

"Why did you come back in our lives? Why! We were good without you but no you think just about you and you! Selfish jerk!" I yelled at him punching him on the chest. He didn't bulge

"Because of you my son is away from me facing strangers alone! I hope for you nothing will happen to my baby or help me God... and after that I don't want to see you ever again!" I added pointing my fingers at him.

My anger was off limit, my son is suffering, certainly afraid to death because of his father ex lover. He nodded and wiped his tears.

He walked to the door I run after him after taking my keys.

"Where are you going?" He asked when he saw me following him

"With you"

"Don't even think about that, you will stay here and wait for us" He said seriously

"Are you crazy do you really think I will let you go alone, we are talking about my son here!" I yelled shouted at him

"Elissa please..." He pleaded

"No" I replied passing in front of him running to his car.

We were on the road in a strong silent I couldn't stop my tears from flowing. His fists clenched on the steering wheel each time he heard me sobbing. We arrived in an abandoned industrial area.

"Wait for me in the car"

But I jumped out of the car before he could lock it.

"Stay in this fucking car!" He shouted. I gave him a glare, he sighed grumbling something in his beard and took of his coat putting it on my shoulders. I accepted it because I was frozen. He was just in his white shirt with rolled up sleeves.

"Stay behind me" He said. We walked inside the warehouse which was in the darkness. After we entered some lights lit up. There she was on a chair. Her hair was short now and seemed thinner.

"Elissa honey it's been a long time" Tanya said

"It's good to see you again "She added standing up

"I can't say the same" I replied

Adrian pushed me behind him when he saw her walking to us with a gun in her hand.

"You are so cute together" She said with a smirk "Pity it won't last"

"What do you want Tanya?" Adrian said

"You baby, you know that" She replied with no shame

"Are you crazy? Never something will happen between us"

"Yes I am I am completely crazy and it's all because of you and this fucking bitch!" She yelled pointing her gun to us.

"Calm down Tanya we can discuss" Adrian said softly

"I don't want to discuss, I want her out of our lives! Because if I can't have you I won't let any woman have you" Tanya screamed, she was really out of her mind like possessed.

Adrian was breathing hard, his hand still blocking me behind his body. I have to do something. I stepped on the side.

"I will... I will disappear of your lives just give me back my son and you will never see me again, I will leave the city even the country if you want and like that you can be together I won't interfere I promise you I don't want anything to do with him anyway what we had Adrian and me ended five years ago... I just want my son back please" I begged

Adrian was staring at me; he seemed like the life left him, his eyes were empty.

Tanya kept looking at me with narrowing eyes, debating with herself to believe me or not. But I was honest my son is the most important I am able to do anything for him.

"You know that if you don't respect you promise, this time I won't just kidnap your bastard but kill him and you too?" Tanya said with so much coldness.

"I promise you Tanya you won't hear about us after now" Everything was silent; we could only hear our breath. I felt Adrian's eyes still on me but I refused to look at him.

After a long minutes Tanya took her phone and dialled a number without dropping her gun or leaving me with her look.

"Bring the boy here"

I let out a deep breath of relief and my tears started to fall. I heard a sound of footsteps behind me I turned around to see my baby walking with a man holding his little arm.

"Mommy" He said

I run to him to hug him with all the strength I had.

"My baby... are you okay? ' I said checking him up.

"He is good I didn't do anything to him... this time" Tanya said

I stood up when Adrian came to hug his son letting him have some time with him, maybe it will be the last time.

"Now go out, Adrian stay here" Tanya yelled with impatience.

I took Lucas from his dad. Adrian grabbed my head and kissed me on the forehead with so much love. He cupped my cheek and whispered. "I will always love you". I kept eyes on him fighting myself to hug him.

"Don't test my patience" Tanya spoke again. I detached myself from him and walked to the exit with my son in my arms I gave a last look to Adrian before walking out of this sinister place.

I was surprised to find a lot of men around the warehouse hiding in silent. One of them gestured to me to stay silent and another took me and Lucas in a direction of a car. Once we were far enough I asked

"Who are you?"

"Don't worry we are Adrian's friend, get in the car let's put you in a safe place"

"Why I'd trust you" I asked with suspicion

"My boss is the owner of the security company Adrian called so believe me we are in your side"

I nodded and put Lucas in back seat, I was about to enter the car too when I heard a gunshot.

I turned my head towards the warehouse when I saw the men running inside. My mind was with Adrian what if something happened to him. I tried to run there without thinking but the man grabbed me quickly

"Let go of me" I debated to free myself

"You can't go there it's too dangerous!"

"Adrian is there... I need to see if he is ok" I screamed but he didn't let me so I punched him with my elbow and bit his hand. Once free I run inside but the scene in front of me stopped me from moving.

Adrian was on laying the floor surrounded with men checking him and yelling something I couldn't hear; his white shirt was now red with blood. He wasn't moving anymore.

I tried to walk to him but the instant after I fell in the darkness.
