Chapter 21

Elissa pov*

«Here we are » I said to my baby when we reached our apartment

"Oh look mommy flowers"

In front of our door there was a beautiful bouquet of white roses my favourite. I sighted knowing where it came from.

It's been like this for a week now, since Adrian came to see me he sent me a bouquet every day but each time I returned it back. But today the delivery guy had to put it there and leave.

"Who put the flowers here mommy" Lucas asked

"I don't know baby" I lied

"You have to put them in a vase with water like that the flower will stay alive right mommy?"

I chuckled at his words

"Yes my love"

So now I have to keep them, anyway there are so beautiful that I didn't want to throw them away. There was a small card

Please forgive me I miss you so much

I crushed it and throw it in the trash. After I took care of the flowers; I went to my son

"Let's clean you so I can start the dinner Leo will be here soon"

"Yes mommy"

I grabbed him in my arms kissing him on his chubby cheeks

"I love you so much you know that"

"I love you too mommy"

We freshened up change in a comfortable clothes, Lucas went to watch his cartoon and me to the kitchen.

Almost one hour later I heard the doorbell

"Lucas baby can you open the door please"

He rushed to open it and jumped in Leo's arms

"Hey buddy how are you" Leo said

"Good" Lucas replied

Leo came to me with Lucas still in his arms

"Hey baby" Leo said kissing me on my side forehead

"Hey"

"How was your day" he asked

"Like always tiring"

"This smell so good what are you cooking"

"Lasagne" I said with a smile

"Humm I am so hungry"

"Go and wash your hands it's ready"

I was setting the table when Leo came back and hugging me from behind

"I missed you" He said in my ear

I turned to him circled my arms on his neck and kissed him softly

"You missed me too I guess?" Leo said with a smirk

"It's obvious no?" I replied

He gave me a more demanding kiss that I returned gladly.

"Let's eat" I said

Leo helped my son sit on his chair while I went to bring the dish. We started to eat while laughing listening to Lucas and his stories. Leo is very good with Lucas and I am so happy for that.

It's been a few weeks since Leo and I started dating and everything was good since then. He is courting me for years but I didn't dare open up to him. Until this day I saw Adrian and Tanya at the hospital, I decided to give Leo a chance.

When I saw the joy in his eyes at this time I knew I made the right choice.

He took me to a date and from then everything went smoothly. The fact that we were friends helped a lot I think. Leo knows everything about me; I even told him about Adrian's visit last week and he was so supporting. This man is amazing and I know someday I will love him like he deserves. But for now we are taking our time.

We finished eating and Leo didn't let me do anything. He cleared the table and cleaned the kitchen. We were sitting cuddling on the couch after putting Lucas to bed when the doorbell rang, we looked at each other who that can be at this hour I said to myself and get up to open the door stopping Leo who was about to go.

"What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to see you and my son"

"Lucas sleeps already and for me I don't want to see you"

"Plea..." Adrian started but was cut by Leo's voice

"Who is it baby" Leo said

Adrian frowned and looked at me

"Who is speaking" Adrian asked but didn't give me the time to reply; he pushed me to the side and made his way in my apartment.

"Hey where are you going" I said following him

Leo stood up when he saw him. The two men were glaring at each other without blinking for long seconds. Adrian was the first breaking the silence

"I asked you who is he" he said without looking at me

I went near Leo and replied

"This is Leo... my boyfriend"

Adrian widened his eyes at me while Leo put his arm around my waist possessively. His eyes followed Leo's arm movement; he clenched his fists until it became white. His face red and deformed by anger.

After taking a deep breath he spoke again

"We need to talk"

"I have nothing to tell you" I replied

"But I do"

I sighted he really is getting on my nerves

"Okay go ahead I am listening"

"Alone" Adrian said sternly glaring at Leo

"Listen if you want to speak so do it in front of him" I replied crossing my arms

"No I want to speak with you privately"

Aaarrrgh he is so stubborn... I wanted to reply when Leo stopped me cupping my cheeks and said

"It's ok love I have to go anyway"

"Are you sure?"

"Yes see you later good night baby" He added and kissed me on my cheek

"Good night"

I looked at him walking at the door and turned to face Adrian

"So what was so important?"

And in one movement I found myself in his arms and his lips on mine with a possessive and hungry kiss. It was hard like he put all his anger and frustration in this kiss. After regaining my senses I pushed him and slapped him with all my force. I wiped my lips with the back of my hand with anger. His cheek was red, we could see my finger's print on it and the hurt in his eyes but who care!

"Who do you think you are?" I almost yelled

"I am your man the one and only"

"What!!! Are you crazy?"

"Yes I become crazy seeing you with this bastard" He said between his teeth

"The only bastard here is you; Leo is a wonderful man and you even can't get to his ankle"

He took step towards me until I felt his lips brushing against mine and said

"I don't care how wonderful he is you are mine and you will always be"

I took a step back before I lost the little strengh I still had

"In your dreams, your time is gone mister" I replied with a faked evidence because inside me I was completely lost

He stared at me in the eyes and approached his mouth to my ear and whispered

"We will see Madam"

He recoiled and stroked my arm with the tip of his fingers still holding his gaze with mine.

I jerked my arm away. He smiled, kissed my forehead and stormed off my home letting me completely dumb.

Oh I hate this man who he thinks of himself.
