*Elissa pov

I was in the street not understanding what's happening to me. This morning we were completely fine and now I am homeless and my husband hates me. My God how that can be possible. After walking for almost an hour I felt tired not knowing what to do or where to go. I decided to rest a little by sitting on the sidewalk. Think Elissa think my mind said; I couldn't go back to my home, I don't have any family in town and my only friend or I must say my best friend Lola after getting married one year ago went to Istanbul with her Turkish husband. I couldn't go to my parents in law neither because I don't want them to be worried. For sure they are going to contact Adrian and for the moment I'd rather not involve them they are old it's better if I don't disturb them. So the only possibility is Hailey. I stopped a cab and give him the address. After some minutes I reached her apartment. I rang the doorbell several times but no response. I looked at the time and it's just 5pm it's early she was still at her work I thought. I decided to stay on the landing waiting for her. I didn't know when I fell asleep I woke up feeling someone patting my shoulder I opened my eyes to see Hailey standing in front of me with a questioning look.

"Elissa what are you doing here?"

"Hello Hailey I was waiting for you" I got up and said

"How long?"

I checked the time and said "For 2 hours"

"Why don't you call me?"

"I know you would be at your office I didn't want to disturb you"

"But why are you here? She asked again clearly astonished at my presence

I bent my head unable to respond; my tears began to fall

"What happened Elissa" she asked putting her hand on my shoulder. I stayed silent the words didn't come out of my mouth. When she realised that we are still on the landing she excused herself and opened the door and we got in.

She offered me water and I drank all the glass I really was thirsty. We sat on the couch and she asked

"Elissa can you tell me what happened I am starting to get worried"

I explained her everything and she was confused and in the same time so angry towards Adrian.

"How can he doubt you? I can't believe this"

"And who would be behind this accusations which obviously false" she asked rubbing her nape

"It means you trust me Hailey?" I asked

"Of course honey I trust you" She said taking my hands in hers.

I hugged her and cry with all my strength; she hugged me caressing my back.

"Thank you Hailey, it means a lot for me"

"Ssshh Eli how can I doubt you? I know how much you love Adrian everybody knows; my brother is an idiot and he is just blinded by his jealousy, and soon he's going to realize his mistake"

"You think?" I asked her with hope

"Yeah I am sure about it don't lose hope Eli, I will prepare dinner you can take a shower and rest in the guest room"

"Thank you Hailey I am not hungry but can you lend me clothes I bring nothing?"

"Of course come with me"

Before she walked out of the room I said

"Hailey may you not call Adrian or your parents please"

"Why" she asked

"I don't want to disturb them and for Adrian I prefer resolve our problem by ourselves"

"I agree with you for Mom and Dad but Adrian he has to listen to me I can't accept his shit"

"No Hailey don't please, I want you to stay on good terms with your brother"

"Ok, but if he doesn't set himself up, he'll see what I'm going to do to him"

I smiled and thank her again.

I followed her, after giving me a pajama she left me, after a good shower I climbed on the bed covering with the soft plaid. I can't help myself thinking about Adrian and what he said to me. I am hurt by his behaviour, his words his looks and I am scared how can I live without him? what will happen to me if he doesn't trust me? Who is behind this? I am going to become crazy my life is completely turned upside down. I didn't notice my tears until I felt them wetting the pillow. I need to sleep it's the only way for my brain to stop working and my heart hurting.

The next morning I woke up tired and weak. I found some clothes on the edge of the bed. Hailey had to bring them when I was sleeping. I took a shower brushed my teeth and change. Walking towards the kitchen I saw Hailey preparing the breakfast. Usually I am so hungry in the morning but now I am not in the mood to eat anything.

"Good morning Hailey"

"Morning Eli how was your sleep"

"Good, it's 9 o'clock you are not going to work?"

"No, I will stay with you today"

"You don't have to delay your work I can stay alone" I said

"Don't worry about that I will manage"

"Ok thank you Hailey I really appreciate"

"Don't thank me Eli we are family, let's eat our breakfast you didn't eat something since your lunch yesterday"

"Oh I am not hungry I don't feel well, a coffee will be enough"

"Come on Eli you have to feeding yourself"

"I can't Hailey"

After drinking my coffee I was about to getting up when I felt dizzy I got clumped at the counter trying to not fall but it was in vain. I just heard Hailey's voice before falling into darkness.
