*Elissa pov

The sun's rays woke me up, I forget to draw the curtains again I scolded myself.

I looked at the clock it's just 7:30 am, so early I can just try to sleep a little bit more after all I have nothing to do I don't work and Adrian is not here. It's been three days since he went to a business trip and I miss him so much. The bed and the entire house looked empty without him. I hardly sleep when he is absent and I am getting tired so am going to stay in bed and try to rest. I squeezed a pillow so I could smell his scent and try to go back to sleep.

But in vain I couldn't so I got out of bed, made my way to the bathroom and take a quick shower put comfortable jeans and top. Almost arrived at the kitchen I smelled coffee and pancakes my stomach growled. I am always hungry these recent days so I hurry to the kitchen.

"Good morning Martha" I said

"Good morning Elissa how was your sleep?"

"Not that good like you know when Adrian is not here I can't sleep well"

"I know sweetie" she chuckled

"You are married for 2 years now and Adrian is often absent and you still can't sleep without him, you are so cute" she added

"What can I do I feel cold when he is absent" I said shyly

"He will be back soon daughter, here your breakfast" Martha said putting the plate in front of me

"Eat with me Martha"

"I took my breakfast already" she said

After I ate we stayed chatting. Martha narrated about her children and grandchildren, she looks so proud of them. How we will be with our children I asked myself. I imagined him playing around with them and I smiled. Adrian will be a great father like he is a great husband I guess. No I am sure about it... You will certainly discover that but you have to be pregnant for that my mind mocked

Martha work for Adrian for a long time. I saw her before our wedding when I visited his house one day and I liked her right away I could tell she felt the same towards me. She is a widow, his husband died one year ago and it was so painful for her because she is alone now without the love of her life like she called him. Of course she has her son, her daughter and her grandchildren but she told me it's not the same. I agree with her your husband or wife is your partner for a lifetime. You can share everything with each other the happiness, the anger, the sickness, the doubts we met sometimes, but all of this made us stronger and more united. It's an indescribable feeling that makes us an inseparable being capable of facing everything. When I look at her I feel admiration she is a strong woman because I am sure if I was in her place I couldn't have survived. I surely can't live without Adrian in my life.

"What do you like for your lunch Elissa" Martha asked me getting me out of my daydream.

"Oh anything will be good, I am in the library if you need me" I said to her leaving

I wanted to finish the book I started to read a week ago. I love reading I can lock myself in the middle of books for hours.

I was concentred when my phone rang. I glanced at the screen and answered immediately

"Hey honey"

"Hey love" Adrian said with his deep voice

"I miss you babe" I shuttered

"I miss you too so much love"

"Don't you finish your work yet?" I asked

"I call about that precisely it was faster than expected, so I will come home tonight"

"Really" I asked merrily

I was able to hear his smile and he said "Yes babe"

"Oh I can't wait to see you Adrian"

"Me too love, I don't have a lot of time now so I am going to hung up, see you tonight babe"

"See you tonight honey, love you bye"

"Love you more bye" Adrian said

I don't call him during his business trip because he could be on a meeting or very busy so to don't disturb him I prefer to wait for his call. Adrian is a hard worker, his company and employees are everything for him and honestly I respect him for that.

I almost ran to find Martha and tell her about this news. I am so happy that I can jump with happiness.

I have to prepare myself and help Martha for a perfect dinner. I know he doesn't take care of himself when he is away just skipping meals and not getting enough sleep.

So I will pamper him like a good wife has to do.
