The walk back to the house consisted of exactly two minutes. How do I know, well I counted it. Something I had started doing quite a lot lately.
In a way, time is only limited and somehow subconsciously I had started counting mine too.
Moustafa who had stayed behind watched me enter the house. Even when I entered my bedroom, I knew he was still standing outside. I could feel it.
The French balcony doors were open and the night lights reflected his image. Even if he couldn't see me, I had a perfect good sight of him. And so I watched him, as he guarded the house all night outside.
How funny it is, we were both running away from our problems and somehow smacked right in to each other. The night still had its tales to tell, and ours hadn't ended quite yet. Under the bright stars, we prayed for our freedom. Wherever that may be.
As a new dawn settled upon us. Sleep reached towards me and I welcomed it with open arms, as one would do.
Yet what I didn't expect was to be woken up at Seven in the morning by a very enthusiastic Guliez.
" Rise and let's shine biatch"
A voice screamed loudly making my ears cringe. The heavy sleep tying my eyelids flickered a little.
Subconsciously I was awake yet my eyes were shut tightly. And I thought maybe, by my lack of response. My pathetic excuse of a friend would her the hint and leave me alone- did she?- Hell No.
" Guliez shut your fucking trap you tramp"
I screamed loudly shocking even myself as I felt my eyes flicker open just to be greeted by a surge of light, nearly blinding me.
The first sight I was greeted to was those of my white ceiling and a boulder like headache, weighing on my head. Groaning, I immediately reached towards my temples whilst slowly sitting upwards.
The white curtains to my bedroom were open and as were the french double doors. Inhaling sharply, I tried massaging my head whilst hearing the sounds of beach waves and seagulls squawking.
" Good morning to you too cranky"
Guliez familiar voice spoke as I searched for the woman, seeing her standing at the head of my bed. Her arms crossed and the pink summer dress flowing lightly against the morning breeze.
" Jeez! Aren't you tad bit overdressed" I murmured seeing Guliez roll her eyes dramatically and walk towards me before taking a seat right next to my legs.
" Bloody hell! I guess you both didn't sleep well" She spoke making me raise my eyebrows in question seeing her mock my look before rolling her eyes dramatically and clearing her throat.
" What do you mean?"
" Erh hello! Lover boy was sitting at the beach all night. Don't think we don't know why he was asleep on the sand afterwards"
She spoke pointedly as she looked around the room curiously, as if she hadn't seen it before.
" Moustafa?"
" Yes him! Your husband, your man or whatever. Personally if a guy did that for me. I'd be really chuffed" She spoke dreamy making it now my turn to roll my eyes at her confession.
" More like he was being a creep and was spying on me"
I grumbled seeing my friend reach forward and smack my shoulder lightly. Frowning a little at her, Guliez sighed and folded her arms like some sort of a teacher scolding a child.
" Why do you take everything the wrong way. Look, I don't believe what he said. I think there was a reason behind it. He's a nice guy"

She spoke making me shake my head and reach towards the end of the bed before taking the blanket off me. Tuning my neck to each side, I felt the sound of a crack making me groan.
" Sure and the devil was once an angel" I spoke hearing Guliez mutter under her breath beside me, before she scooted towards my side and sat next to me.
" First of all, get your facts right! The devil was never an Angel in Islam and Jeez! Don't you be saying horrible things about Musy-bear"
She spoke making my eyes widen and pull a poking face at her. Pretending I was throwing up at her sudden name for Moustafa.
" Musy-Bear! What the hell. My husba- Moustafa name isn't that"
I spoke seeing Guliez give me a sly look making me groan and stand upwards. Frustrated at her childish like behaviour.
" Grow up"
" Oh fuck off! Anyway, we have a long day ahead of us. We are going baby shopping. And we need to get you maternity clothes"
She spoke making me flip her the 'bird' as I walked inside the bathroom to get ready. Knowing all too well that Guliez wouldn't let me sleep. I mean why try even with her.
I thought bitterly as I washed my face, followed by brushing my teeth and usual skin care routine.
" Farya I've got your clothes ready"
Guliez spoke as she knocked on the door making me wrap the towel around my body. Opening the door, Guliez held a white summer dress, and a bright smile came with the package.
" Guliez what's this?"
" Clothes you hobo! Now get changed and do hurry up. The car should be coming any time soon"
She spoke glancing down at her imaginary wrist watch making me clench my jaw tightly and take the clothes off her, seeing an accomplished smile on her face.
A good few moments passed, after getting dressed and curling my hair loosely. I stepped out of the bathroom to see smiling Guliez look at me proudly.
" Check you out sexy mama! Now come we need to leave" She spoke as she reached towards my hand and led me out of my bedroom.
" Jeez Guliez take a chill and I can walk just fine" I spoke pulling my hand away from hers hearing her groan frustrated but nonetheless we walked down the spiral staircase and towards the large hall to see Aylin all ready.
Looking confused between the two, the woman walked towards me with a glass of orange juice and toast in a plate.
" Aylin? What's this?" I asked seeing Aylin beam at me as she handed me my breakfast whilst Guliez rushed around probably looking for something. I'm surprised she hasn't lost her head by now.
" Good morning Farya! Now your Nourie gave me clear instructions before she left for some work, to take you shopping and buy you and the baby some stuff"
Aylin spoke whilst Guliez opened the door. " Wait where? She's gone to where?" I asked as Aylin handed me the toast. Taking a bite I could see Aylin reach for a loose veil as she placed it on her head before holding her brown leather bag in her hand.
Well someone is ready!
" I don't know. She didn't tell me much just what I said and oh- she left your bank card here" Aylin spoke as she walked towards the table beside the sofa's before holding a bank card in her hand.
" Here you go" She encouraged taking the plate of toast away from me, and then handing me my card.

" Where's Deniz?" I asked curiously seeing Aylin now hold my handbag. Honestly what was it today with these two women. Why were they in such a hurry.
" He's gone down to the station. They needed him for something"
Guliez spoke from the doorway making me nod whilst taking my bag off Aylin. Intaking a sharp breath I glanced at the clock seeing it nearly eight in the morning making me question what plan these two were up to, but nonetheless I followed it through. Not missing how Guliez kept peeping out of the door as if she was expecting someone.
Walking towards the double doors I stepped in to the warm breeze with a hint of coolness. Running a hand through my hair I followed Aylin towards the car, seeing Guliez follow behind.
" We have so much to do. We need to buy you and the baby some clothes and furniture and oh- we need to do a gender reveal party"
Guliez spoke making me glance down at my hands feeling a pang of hurt ripple through me. Looking upwards at the ecstatic looking women who was now waving her hands around in attempt explain things, now looked at me. Her face falling a little.
" What's wrong?"
" Guliez, if something was to happen to me- which chances are high. Make sure the baby is okay don't give h-"
I started feeling her hand reached towards my mouth as she placed it on my lips. In attempt to stop from talking. Swallowing sharply, her large eyes suddenly glistened with tears as she gave me a small smile. The sight not very Guliez like.
" Don't talk rubbish! So many people have made it through. You're going to be fine and so will my niece or nephew and when you make it. You'll see" She spoke but even I knew she was saying it to encourage her ideas.
A heavy silence fell against us as we focused on the driving car, going through to the town rather than the reality that will be waiting for us.
Aylin who was sitting beside me squeezed my hand, snapping me out of my thoughts. Giving the woman a warm smile I felt the car come to a stop as I glanced out of the window.
" We're here" Aylin clapped as she cleared her throat and stepped out of the car. Following after Aylin, I could hear the lively chatters of people and the sounds of seagulls squawking.
Children ran around with ice cream in their hands and colours of every kind greeted us as we stepped in to the heart of the town.
" When I call you. Pick us up" Aylin spoke to our new driver who nodded as the woman walked towards me with a smile on her face.
" Right, so have you thought of how you want to decorate the nursery. There is so many idea-"
" There should be lights there. So even in darkness you'd feel safe"
A voice spoke beside me making my heart drop. I could feel a shiver rush down my spine as I looked at Guliez now openly glaring at her. Seeing the smile on her.
She planned this.
" Oh definitely! That's a good idea and hello there!"
Guliez spoke excitedly as I felt the large figure beside me now stand in front of me. Clenching on my jaw tightly, I glanced upwards seeing the man.
Dressed in a white shirt, his sleeves were now rolled up as the crispy white attire was matched with black trousers.
His raven hair was brushed to the side yet somehow a rogue strand came on to his forehead a little. His once overgrown stubble was now smaller than before making him look years younger.
" Aylin will you come with me"
I spoke looking towards Aylin who nodded. Moving away from the two I felt eyes on me as I walked with Aylin. Feeling anger get the best of me.
" Did you plan this with her?"
" No, I knew she was up to something but not this"
Aylin spoke making me nod as I found myself glancing over my shoulder seeing dark grey eyes trained on me.
There was something Moustafa could always do with his eyes.
As if they could speak without uttering a single word, and the moment I felt my gaze land on his. My stomach turned a little seeing so much in his eyes yet he refused to voice his opinions.
A smile suddenly came across his handsome face making me glare him and turn around.
Aylin who was familiar with this area gave me a list of shops I could go to that had best clothes. She insisted it was no hassle for her in terms of carrying any bags making me smile at her kindly.
" You're too kind"
I spoke as we stepped inside a shop seeing cradles and baby clothes all around. Whilst the shop hosted a few stuffed toys my heart instantly went towards the racks of clothes and cradles.
" I wish Nourie was here too"
" I know darling, but she had to visit the solicitors"
Aylin spoke making me nod as I glanced towards a sales woman coming towards us. A smile on her face as she greeted us.
" Good morning. How are you today?"
The woman spoke as we greeted her back before Aylin went on expressing her feelings of getting the best of the best furniture and clothes for the baby making the sales-woman smile.
Leaving Aylin to her detailed conversation I found myself walking around the large shop seeing a white crib at the far end with stuffed toys placed on the small mattress and some above it.
I could feel my heart warm up, seeing the crib before me. Running my hand against the wood, I imagined the baby sleeping, her or she, laying on the mattress whilst looking upwards at the toys circling around. A smile made it's way across my face as I reached towards stuffed giraffes.
All of a sudden, I could feel eyes on me making me glance to the side seeing Moustafa stand beside one of the cribs as he looked towards me, holding a stuffed toy in his hand.
Placing the girrafe back on the crib, I found myself turning around seeing Guliez holding a few baby clothes as she talked animatedly with Kenan who nodded at her.
As if knowing I was looking at him Kenan eyes fell on me, and all of a sudden his face lit up as he smiled at me. The man suddenly took long strides, now standing in front of me.
" Farya"
" Kenan"
I spoke greeting him back seeing the man smile at me as he eyed the crib beside me.
" I'm sorry for what I did, but I had to tell him. You should know all he said that day was a lie, to protect you"
Kenan spoke making me smile and shake my head, not having the energy to deal with this so early in the morning.
" Kenan I dont need protecting. I've left that to my lord, and secondly. I trusted you to keep this a secret and you brought danger to my home"
" And what makes you think that the danger isn't in your home already"
Kenan spoke when all of a sudden he tensed, his face turning emotionless almost as if he had said too much. Sighing softly, I walked away from him and out of the shop. Wanting to get away from here, from everyone.
Inhaling a sharp breath, I felt my eyes landing on the sea before me seeing people lean on the balcony as they looked at the waters below.
My eyes landed on an empty bench opposite the stone balcony. Rounding it, I took a seat feeling the breeze brush past me, making my hair to come on to my face, dancing against the winds.
Running a hand through my hair, I felt someone sitting beside me, making me tense. Glancing to the side, I was surprised to see Moustafa sitting beside me. His eyes now landing on mine.
A heavy silence fell on us as we both looked at each other, as if there were words worth hundreds yet were not worthy enough to be spoken out loud.
" You look beautiful"
He spoke softly, his eyes flickering across my dress and landing on my growing bump. Clearing my throat I looked away, feeling a warm hand on mine as I felt Moustafa hold on to it and bring it towards his lips.
" It's almost like a dream I'm having, seeing you here" He spoke quietly making me swallow sharply as the man stood up all of a sudden and towered over me.
" Ice-Cream?"
He questioned and I wanted to say no, but the thought of having ice-cream made my mouth water and I nodded seeing a smile fall on his face. Lighting his eyes.
Turning around, he walked towards the stall as he stood there talking to the man. His body relaxed and a smile on his face. He looked so normal, so calm like this.
Holding two cones in his hand, he walked towards me before taking a seat.
" Here you go princ-Farya"
" Thanks"
I spoke taking the ice cream off him, feeling a smile fall across my face knowing he got my favourite flavour.
Chocolate.
" Farya"
"Hmm?"
I spoke looking towards the man seeing him take a bite off the cone causing the cream to brush on his chin. I didn't know what took over me, as I reached forward in that moment. Wiping it off his chin, feeling the mans eyes trained on my every movement.
I could feel the man smile softly at me as I cleared my throat and looked away. Allowing Moustafa to ask his original question.
" Do you know what we are having?"
He asked softly, making intake a sharp breath and look away from him at the ocean before me. A soft breeze brushed against me, as I felt my hands reach forward and brush it back.
Truth be told, after the visit from the hospital I knew what I was having. Doctor Emraan had told me after they did an ultrasound. I hadn't told anyone, not even Nourie, for some reason I kept it to myself and maybe. It was because I was to tell Moustafa what it would be, afterall he was the father.
" Yes"
I spoke softly as I glanced towards him seeing his face light up. Smiling lightly, I glanced at his hand reaching towards mine as I spoke. Hearing my voice echo around me.
" We are having a girl"
