《Forbidden》chapter four

Farya
I could feel my heart beating. An agonising pain soaring through it. Almost as if it was caged within a vault, far from the sight of freedom.
The only sound that remained was the car driving and the cold night ahead of us. Agha had saw me. The first thing he did was hold on to my hand before pulling me away from Mustafa who stood there. Glaring at the man. Almost as if they had known each other.
Biting on my lip in nervousness my eyes flickered towards Agha. Seeing his jaw clenched tightly. Anger written all over his face.
Agha was in his late forties. I had known him from as far as I can remember. He was my father's most trusted employee and through the years he almost felt like a family
I sometimes wonder if he had a family. He was constantly in the house or giving out orders. I hadn't ever seen him act 'normal'. The man was always dressed in a black suit. I wonder what he'd look like with other clothes. Then again it was Agha, the man didn't particularly like change.
" Agha"
I spoke softly seeing the man's jaw clench tightly as he ooked at me briefly before staring ahead at the road.
" Are you going to tell my father?" I asked cautiously seeing him stare ahead. Driving the car towards the large manor. He parked it to the side, before looking at me. His face utterly emotionless. Brushing his small beard he cleared his throat. His thick accent reaching my ears.
" I don't need to. They're already here"
It was as though someone had striked me across the face. I could feel my body turning limp and the blood rushing from my forehead. The world around me stilled as Agha took in my reaction.
" They're waiting for you" Was all he said as the man stepped out of the car and opened the door for me. Closing my eyes tightly, I felt the warm breeze brush past my face. My heart thudding erratically.
Breath Farya
I whispered, almost like a mantra. Walking through the double doors. It felt almost as if I was going through the gates of hell. Slipping out of my shoes, I followed where the voices were.

Inhaling a sharp breath I pushed the door open. Immediately I was greeted to the sight of a beautiful woman sitting on the sofa. The black long dress fitting her figure perfectly. She had long brown hair that was styled to the back. Her features were one of utter beauty and elegance. As if noticing eyes on her, the woman glanced towards me. Making my breathing hitch.
" Farya" She spoke standing up, her eyes widening a little as she took my features in. I could feel my chest tightening seeing my mother walk towards me. Her striking perfume reaching my nose.
" Mama" I spoke taking her hand in mine before kissing it. I could feel the woman tense as she stared at me and all of a sudden I felt her arms wrap around me. Embracing me.
" Kosem I missed you" She spoke cupping my face before placing a kiss on my forehead all the whilst I remained in my place. Utterly shocked.
" Farya" A deep voice spoke making me turn around. My eyes landing on a tall men, dressed in a black suit. His striking blue eyes stared at me as I glanced at him. Seeing Roshan features in him.
" Baba" I whispered moving away from my mother and towards my father. Reaching towards his hand, I kissed on it feeling the man pat my head slowly. Almost as if he didn't know how to react.
Then again, what would you say to your daughter after a year of not seeing her.
" Where were you?" My mother's sharp voice came making me look upwards at the woman. All of a sudden, I felt my heart drop, and just in time Agha walked inside the room.
Staring at Agha, mother spoke again making the intimidating looking man clear his throat.
" Where was she Agha?" She asked again as the man glanced at me briefly before clearing his throat.
Oh god
" She wanted to visit the beach. I took her there"
He spoke making my eyes widen. Why was Agha trying to save me. Looking at my mother, she gave the man a look of disbelief. Opening her mouth she wad ready to answer back making baba speak. His booming voice echoing around the room.

" Lila let it be. I trust Agha" He spoke making my mother look at him before she nodded and sat back on the sofa. Sighing softly to herself.
Glancing at my parents, I felt the atmosphere tense around us. Taking a seat at the far end of the sofa. I felt my eyes landing on Noursheen walking inside the room, carrying a tray in her hand.
" Farya, there is a matter of urgency we want to discuss" Baba spoke as I glanced towards him. Feeling my heart drop. Nodding nervously, I felt my eyes flicker towards my mother who now sat upwards and towards Noursheen who was looking down.
" Yes"
I croaked out seeing my mother adjust her clothes before she started. Her eyes glancing towards mine.
" Farya, my child. Your father and I have had a thought on this matter and we hope you agree with us as well" She started as I felt my knees turn weak. Fearing what the woman was about to say. Whenever she opened her mouth, nothing pleasent came out.
" Your father is good friend with Suhail Vidit. He recently signed a contract where he became the biggest partner in our company" She spoke curtly as I stared at her. Trying to understand why she was telling me all of this.
" Suhail has a son, Emre Vidit. He's only five years older than you" She spoke as I glanced towards Noursheen seeing the woman give me a pained look. Her eyes welling up with tears.
Oh god
" Your father and Suhail, have arranged for you and Emre to be married" She spoke as I stared at her. At loss for words, unable to say anything.
The entire room fell in to a pin drop silence. Almost as if they were holding their breath. Awaiting my reaction.
Wait what?
" Why?" I whispered out feeling my father tense as he looked away whilst my mother gave me a dumbfounded look.
" Look Farya, my child. We're your parents. We will always do what's best for you and besides, your father and I had an arranged married as well. Isn't that right Fatih"
She spoke glancing at Baba who sat straight. His eyes landing on me. Running a hand through his beard he nodded.
" Emre is a good man. He will make you happy" He spoke and what hurt the most was how final his words were. As if I no longer mattered to him.
" Baba-"
I started seeing the man raise his hand. Standing up abruptly he walked across the room and out of the door before I could even finish my sentence. Looking towards my mom, I felt myself glare at her seeing the woman shake her head.
" Don't be like this Farya. It's what's best" She spoke before standing up abruptly. Looking towards Noursheen, I felt my heart drop seeing her eyes flicker towards mine. Bloodshot. As if she had been crying.
" Mama. You come after a year and suddenly announce I'm getting married. How can you be so heartless your son just died and you want-"
I didn't even get to finish my sentence as I felt her hand strike my face making me lose my balance. Falling o to my knees, I stared upwards at the woman seeing her angry eyes glare at me.
" I hate you. You did this to Roshan you made him die. Now you want to get rid of me" I yelled standing up. Running out of the room, I could feel some of the guards and maids eyes land on me. Pity in their eyes.
Running up the spiral staircase I rushed towards my room. It was as if my heart was on fire and I was no longer able to breath. Slamming the door shut I felt tears rush down my cheeks. My world now spinning.
I hated them. I hated what she did to Roshan. I hate all of them.
I whispered mentally feeling my shaky legs carry me towards the open balcony. Tears blurred my vision as I glanced upwards at the stars.
Hoping and praying for someone to rescue me from this prison. And that's when I heard it. Gunshots firing all around me.
