" Draw as if your heart and soul is wielding that pencil"
Professor Rachid heavy accent flowed in his words, echoing across the large lecture room. There was utter silence, of course the occasional cough and sniffing filled around them yet there was silence. Each ones eyes fixed on Professor Rachid samples on the board, the projector flickering the image across the wall.
It was no doubt that the professor was talented yet Farya couldn't help feeling utterly baffled at how exquisite the work was across the walls. The small part of the wall covered in ancient islamic textiles whilst the rest decorated with carved Arabic. Verses and verses written across the wood.
" It isn't about how well you can draw, it's about how well you can tell the story" Professor Rachid clapped causing the lights to fill the lecture room making Farya's eyes flinch a little.
Glancing at the man standing before them. She could see Professor Rachid was wearing his favourite brown tie and his greying hair was brushed extra neat making her smile. It seemed he did take her advise and the older man finally scored a dinner date with his wife.
Farya felt her mind drifting away as the professor continued giving them a speech about the philosophy of ones imagination. Swallowing sharply, Farya felt her heart heavy at the conversation she had with her dad, last week.
Closing her eyes, a wavering feeling crawled up in her stomach. She wanted to forget what Roshan did. She wanted to pretend he was okay, that he was in rehab instead of the cold ground. She hated his friends, they were the cause of it all. Especially Connor. They introduced him to it. Feeling bitter at the thought, Farya felt a nudge to the side.
Glancing over her shoulder, she stared at a worried looking Guliez. Her friends eyebrows furrowed, a questioning look on her face.
Shaking her head, Farya gave Guliez a reassuring smile trying to pretend everything was fine. Like always, smile even if your crying inside.
" That's all for this week. Next week I want your samples and bring some pictures from your visits" Professor Rachid voice snapped Farya out of her thoughts. The sound of bags zipping and excited chatter greeted the lecture room. Making her groan and stand up as well.
" I'm so tired. I need a fucking drink" Deniz spoke beside her, making Farya smile despite herself. Looking to the side she felt her eyes land on the man seeing him put his leather jacket before brushing his golden brown hair.

" Funny how I didn't see you work at all and Instead eat" Guliez pointed out making Deniz roll his eyes. Hiding back her smile, they all walked down from their row and walk past their professor.
" Farya a word" Professor Rachid spoke making Farya look up and nod at him.
" we'll wait outside" Guliez spoke as Farya walked towards the professor giving him a kind smile. " Is everything alright professor?" Farya asked seeing her professor nod and smile at her kindly.
" As good as it can be. I couldn't help but notice you seemed slightly distracted so I thought you'd like to read this " Professor Rachid spoke handing her a thick brown book. Ever since he found out she was a lover of books. He always seemed to be handing her them, making her question if this was the professor way of telling her she was failing the class.
Reaching towards it, Farya thanked the professor before walking out of the lecture room, promising to hand it back in its original format.
Farya smiled at the sight of Guliez and Deniz waiting for her. The two surprisingly not bickering as usual.
" Hey hey! Here she comes" Guliez spoke in a relief as Farya walked towards them seeing Deniz grin at her.
" Thanks for waiting. Let's go I'm starving" Farya spoke earning a nod from Guliez, and a war cry from Deniz who as usual brought attention to them.
Their campus wasn't far from the main town and Farya found comfort in that. There was more love here than she ever saw back at home.
" Apparently Lola and Tim are a thing now" Guliez spoke eating liquorice before offering her and Deniz some, and being the greedy person that he was. Deniz took a mouthful of it from Guliez.
" Really? Isn't he like a bad influence" Farya trailed off not wanting to sound rude but she could hardly imagine innocent Lola keeping up with Tim. The man was crazy. Her first day here, she was greeted to a sight of Tim and one of the other guys, Ahmed fighting. Then again, opposites do attract.
" Yeah he is in a way but who are we to judge " Guliez spoke brushing her raven hair to the side. Her eyes briefly brisking towards Deniz who was busy grinning at someone from the bus stop.

It was no doubt Guliez had a thing for Deniz. The duo had grew up together, but Deniz was either oblivious or simply didn't care to notice how deeply attracted Guliez was to him. Farya shook her head, smiling. Hoping one day they will get together.
" So did Noursheen or your dad shout a lot?" Guliez asked causing Deniz to look as well. Sighing, Farya shrugged her shoulders earning a sympathetic look from the two.
" No they were just worrid" she spoke in a defeated voice causing Guliez to give her shoulder a gentle reassuring squeeze, to which she was grateful for.
They fell in to a comfortable conversation and whilst waiting at the bus stop. Guliez rushed to get hot chocolate whilst Deniz and Farya stayed behind, waiting for the bus to come.
She was surprised her father gave her this much freedom. Any other day Agha would pick her up but with it being her birthday. It was a one off.
" Twenty eh! Are we getting a treat or something?" Deniz spoke glancing at Farya who shook her head and smiled.
Deniz couldn't help but look at the woman before him a little longer. Her small button nose was slightly red from the cold as she brushed her hair aside. The brown locks sticking slightly to her face from the rain.
Her large eyes flickered towards him making a grin fall on his face. She was beautiful but he'd never admit it to her.
The sound of the rain suddenly had Farya looking upwards. In awe at how beautifully and gracefully the rain fell on to the ground. The soft breeze from the rain briskes past her making her brown hair wet a little.
" I hate the fucking rain" Deniz muttered displeased making Farya smile. She disagreed with Deniz. The rain reminded her of freedom and, all she wanted was to stand in the rain and dance till her hearts content.
" Stop being grumpy Deniz"
" I'm not"
" Are too"
Farya spoke seeing a smile on his face as he shook his head. Pulling a cigarette out he placed it between his lips.
" Don't give me that look. I'm a grown up" Deniz sent her wink making Farya blush and shake her head.
" I don't like the smell of it" She murmured softly seeing her eyes fall in Deniz again seeing his features fall all of a sudden.
Following his trail, Farya's eyes landed on a sleek black car seeing the windows roll down a little. She could feel her breathing halting for a minute as she stared at those dark grey eyes.
She recognised them.
They belonged to the man from the mosque.
What was he doing here?
" Do you know him?" Farya whispered softly to Deniz who snorted glaring at the man from across the road. Yet it seemed as though the stranger simply looked at him, as one would do to a child throwing a tantrum.
" Yes, he is bad news. Stay far away from him"
Deniz spoke darkly and Farya was taken aback by his sudden bitterness. Daring to look up her eyes locked on to the dark ones from across the road. She could feeling her breathing halt at how intently he as looking at her.
A warm feeling floated in her stomach as she assessed his features. He was handsome, without a doubt. Sporting a small stubble, the man had pitch black hair which he brushed backwards. He had a sharp jaw and she would have sworn this man looks as if he never smiled. He was too intimidating to show any emotions.
" Here's for you and this is yours" Guliez spoke, handing the hot drink towards her. Grinning she took it from her whilst Deniz sent Guliez a wink making her blush furiously.
She was too adorable
Farya couldn't help but feel eyes on her. Looking up she stared at those dark ones from across the road. Feeling felt her heat beat pickering as she stared at the man.
Dressed in a black suit, his raven hair had a few strands falling on his face and his tie slightly undone. He was handsome without a doubt but what was he doing out here, out of all the places. She questioned again.
" What's his name"
Farya spoke making Deniz tense beside her before he sighed. His eyes flickering towards hers. Guliez was the one to speak, as if the man before them was somewhat a celebrity.
" Mustafa Aydin"
