" Where exactly have you been young lady?"
A voice snapped, booming across the large three storey house. Allowing a deep silence to suddenly fall in each corner making her hold on to her breath. Not wanting to make a single peep.
Swallowing sharply, Farya glanced away from the guarded door and towards the woman standing in the middle of the hall. Her eyes locked directly at hers, arms folded.
Uh Oh!
Noursheen wasn't the intimidating type. One would hardly class her as a dominant woman with her petite form and her doll like features. But the woman was a sleeping storm and right now, all Farya wanted to do was to crawl in to whatever hole there was. To escape Noursheen and her wrath.
" I went to the mosque with Deniz and Guliez" She spoke clearing her throat wanting to remain confident but it seemed her words failed her.
Standing up a little straighter, the woman walked towards Farya. Her steps long, filled with confidence and Farya knew in that moment. She wasn't going to get away so easily.
You should have thought of that before
Her subconscious sneered as she now stared in to the woman emerald green eyes. Seeing her features morphed in to a scowl.
" For five hours?" She questioned making Farya nod seeing the woman sigh heavily. Her forehead creasing in worry.
" You can't be leaving like this. Irrationally with no form of your whereabouts" Her Nanny spoke, and for a moment Farya felt frustrated being treated like a child till she realised. It was Noursheen way of showing love.
" I'm sorry I'll be careful next time. Now can I enter my home. You're kinda in my way" She spoke trying to lighten the mood up but it seemed Noursheen wasn't having it.
" I promise Nourie I'll be careful next time and even give you my location. So you can track me down" Farya grinned, sending Nourie a wink causing the woman's anger to melt down and a small smile to form on her face.

Noursheen knew she couldn't be angry at Farya for long. She had practically raised the girl but she worried for her carelessness. After her brother, she was-
" Earth to Nourie" Farya grinned clicking her fingers making Noursheen snap out of her thoughts and look at her.
Farya knew from the moment she walked in the house, Nourie would be angry. Then again she had every right to be and a part of her warmed at the thought. That someone actually cared for her. Leaning in she engulfed the woman in a hug making Nourie laugh and smack her shoulders.
" Get off little bear. Now freshen up, foods ready and oh one last thing. You dad called" Nourie spoke in a pointed voice making Farya groan and turn around.
Walking up the large staircase, Farya sighed before she stared in amazement at the Arabic calligraphy on the dome like ceiling. Her eyes flickered towards the woodwork across the staircase and untowards the upper part of the house.
The strong smell of incense drifted through her nose as her fingers glided on the railings seeing the large window overlooking their backyard.
Times like these reminded Farya that there was still good left in the world yet as soon as the thought came. It vanished as she remembered her father was waiting for her call.

Just the thought of his name brought a weight of authority towards him . He was a well respected man, without a doubt. Farya believed he was a good father to them but with time, people change. She had always found her father locked in his study instead of spending time with them like he did, years ago.
In a way she didn't blame him. Being the owner of a mulit-millionaire company, he had a lot on his hands and Farya tried to look at that. Instead of trying to remember the last time she had actually sat down with him and had a normal conversation.
Walking inside her bedroom that looked too grand for a single person. She slid her bag on to the floor before laying down on the large lush bed. Her eyes flickering towards the ceiling holding the magnificnet chandelier.

Glancing around her room. She sighed contentedly feeling the breeze from the balcony brush past her. The white silky like curtains dancing against the winds as Farya stared away from there and towards her large vanity table. Realising now it was all tidy and her expensive perfume and jewellery were placed neatly. Smiling lightly, she knew who was behind it.
Swallowing slowly, a hallowing feeling creeped down her stomach reminding her of how lonely she was. She should be in Vancouver with her parents yet somehow she had convinced them, she liked it better here, and they had allowed her to stay away from them, for such a long-time.
In a way, Farya was too escaping from reality and that's how she ended up here, in Istanbul. Her home now.
Shaking all thoughts away, she rushed to change out of the black Arabic attire. The long dress now removed, revealing her jeans and her favourite top.
Walking down the stairs again, she found Nourie sat at the large dinning table. A phone in her hand. Ignoring the delicious smell from the food, Farya walked on the marbled floor before reaching towards the phone and brining it to her ears.
" Hello Abbi" She spoke holding her breath hearing her father speak from the other end. His deep voice so loud, probably reaching Nourie as well.
" Farya that was foolish of you to leave without informing Noursheen or Agha" Her father greeted her in return making Farya sigh, trying to ignore the stinging pain in her heart.
" I'm sorry, it won't happen again" She spoke softly and she could feel the tension ease between them a little. Hearing her father sigh, Farya noticed his voice was now a little softer.
" Where did you go?" He asked making Farya hesitate. It was her fault after all, Deniz only took her there after she practically begged him. She knew, he couldn't deny her.
" I went to the mosque. We're studying islamic textiles and the art behind it, so we had to visit a mosque" She answered truthfully as her mind drifted back to the events only a few hours ago.
She felt her stomach turn a little remembering the stranger from across the courtyard. How he stood next to his car, his eyes trained on her. A look so intense in them, it still made her heart beat a little faster.
Who was this stranger and god, she shouldn't be so affected by him.
" Be careful next time" Her father's words brought her back to reality as she nodded. Her eyes flickering across the quiet kitchen.
" How's Mum?" Farya whispered noticing how there was a silent before he answered. Confirming her theory.
" She will be alright" He spoke before offering her goodbyes and ending the call. Placing the phone on the table Farya glanced down at her hands. Trying to blink away the tears.
" They're just worried after Roshan-"
" That what? I'd do what he did"
Farya snapped, glaring at Agha, a tall built man with a large moustache. He had been the head of their security for many years and Farya respected him. She really did, but right now, everything was thrown out of the window at her brothers name.
She should know better, yet no matter how many times she tried running away from that reality. It came back haunting her. There was a reason her parents allowed her to come here. She needed space. She needed closure.
It'd take years before she could ever come to the realisation that her brother wasn't coming.
He had overdosed in her bedroom.
