《Forbidden》28 | Always & Forever

I pressed the damp towel on my forehead and took a deep breath. Leila had thankfully closed the door, but I was able to hear the three wolves breaths just outside. No one had moved.
I couldn't erase the look Matt had on his face. Was it good? Was he happy about it? Jeez! I didn't even know if I was indeed pregnant like Leila had said and I was so worried, it felt hard to breathe.
I looked at Leila, who was ranting questions of how I would know if I was pregnant. She was also trying to do the math of how many weeks I may were. She was excited, I could tell.
"Lei." I held up my hand and she immediately shut up.
Mathew... I mind linked my mate. Could you come in, please?
The door bursted opened and there he was. The expression he had earlier had disappeared, but I still couldn't place what was going through his head. I turned to Leila who nodded and left the bathroom, leaving us alone.
"I-," I whispered, but he didn't let me finish and placed me on his lap, as he sat on the bathroom floor.
"Is it true?" He asked softly, almost afraid. His blue irises staring back at my brown.
"It's possible." I replied and circled my arms around him. My tears started rolling down my cheeks and his hand caressed my back.
"Serena, don't cry. This are great news."
"Are they?" I asked. "With everything that has happened don't you think is too fast? Too risky? We've been together for not too long and-,"
"Shh." His finger silenced my lips, and he pulled me closer. Our chest pressing, our heartbeat in unison. "It's perfect. It's the light we needed after all the darkness we've been through."

I sobbed and pressed my lips to his. I couldn't believe the incredible man before me was my mate. "Matt, take me home." I said in between lips.
He agreed, and soon we laid under the moonlight, after hours of love and joy. His hand caressing my belly, where in a few months a baby bump would be, and I couldn't be happier.

I entered my father's office which now was like a studio for me, and headed straight to the drawer where my mother's letter was. I felt ready to read whatever was inside of the envelope. I didn't know if it was because I was expecting Mathew's child, or because I felt so comfortable with my life that I knew it was time.
I held the envelope between my fingers and took a deep breath before tearing it open. And there it was, to my surprise, not a letter but a photograph. It was black and white and a bit faded, but I recognize the people in it. It was my father holding a baby in his arms. Me.
My eyes watered as I looked at my father, looking lovingly at the baby.
I turned the photograph and on the back it read,
Serena,
One day you will find what I have. A loving mate and a beautiful child. A family. A home.
Hold onto them and never let them go. Love them, protect them. There is no more beautiful gift than a family of your own. They and your Pack, will be your everything. Trust me, you and your father are it to me.
I love you with all my heart,
Mom.
I smiled and held the picture close to my heart, looking at the window where Mathew was outside teaching the young wolves. She was right, he and my baby were everything.

I laughed and wiped the tears of my eyes, as Mathew kept rubbing and staring at my belly. He was kneeled before me and kept looking for any signs of my baby bump.
"Mathew, I don't think it works like that." I said and combed his hair with my fingers as he stared back at me. "I'm not that far."
"Oh, right." He stood up and wrapped me in his arms. "Have you thought of a name?"
"Excited, aren't we?" I said with a smile.
He flushed and nodded. "I am. This is perfect." He said and pecked my lips sweetly.
"I have thought of a name." I said and caught his attention. "If he's a boy I was thinking in calling him Ethan." He whispered the name to himself a couple of times. "It means strong."
"Ethan." He said now with firmness. "But what if it's a girl?"
He frowned I stood up on my tiptoes to kiss the worried look. "Then we'll choose it together."
"You are right, we still have time. We have forever." He leaned forward and kissed me deeply. His lips moving against mine lovingly, caressing. I moaned into his lips before separating. "Always and forever Mathew."

BF Training Course
Story about a man who trusts and loves his girlfriend. Basic premise is that your girlfriend is leaving on a trip and wants you to take part in some mysterious course while she's gone. Figuring out what the course is about is a big part of the story. Mostly the story will be focused on dialogue and thoughts. One of my goals is for there to not be any potentially interesting conversations that are skipped past, many times I've been reading some story and hated it when some really interesting conversation is just summed up without going into enough detail.
