Manik's POV

" She is my ward, not my sister. Mind it !! Get lost before I beat you. "

" Ok, bro... Chill! "

" Sahaj, are you coming? " Roshni asked.

" Yeah!! " He said with a smile.

" You are not going with her. Go and be around Myra. Viren would not like it if you leave her alone." I said and he looked at Myra and Viren.

" But Roshni wants to go for that slide ride, has been calling me. " He said.

" Don't worry, I will take her there. As it is, I need to talk to Roshni. " I said.

" But... "

" Leave!! You should take care of Myra and Saanjh. What kind of a brother you are? Be there around them. " I scolded him and he looked a bit embarrassed. While Roshni was waiting for him standing a few metres away from me.

" Sorry, Roshni, you know, how Viren got angry. I need to be with Myra and Saanjh. " He turned and said with an apology.

" It's ok, I can understand. Don't worry, I can take care of myself. I have been doing it till now. So no problem. " She said with a sad smile.

I wanted to wipe that sadness off her face. She turned to go. I felt very bad, she looked very alone.

" Roshni, wait!! " I said. She stopped where she was.

" Would you like to go to that slide ?? " I asked going closer to her.

" I am already going. " She said without looking at me. I felt that pain again.

" Can I come with you? " I asked.

" What?? " She was shocked to hear that.

Did I ask something inappropriate? She didn't react like this when that Sahaj offered to come with her.

Was she so angry with me?

" Will you go with me? " I asked with a smile. She shook her head and that simple gesture of hers hurt me.

" Why not? Are you still angry with me? " I could not help asking.

" Your girlfriend, would not like it. The moment she comes to know that, she would curse me and scold you. So let it be. Don't worry, I will manage, you don't need to come and guard me. " She said and rushed towards the slide.

I went after her and when she sat down on the slider, I joined her.

She tried to get up but I caught her hand and made her sit again with me and we started sliding. She was hesitant at first but all of a sudden, she seemed to forget everything and was as excited as a teenager. I loved her excitement and the slide so much fun that we went for it one more time.

She closed her eyes this time and so did I. My arm was holding her next to me and it felt very nice. I again felt those sparks in my body which I always had whenever I held her.

What was happening?? I wanted to loosen my arm but could not.

We fell in the pool at the end of the slide. I felt a kind of disappointment.

I was still looking at her and was about to talk to her, but she turned to go. I called her name but she didn't stop so I tried to stop her by holding her shoulder. But she moved too fast and her shirt ripped all of a sudden as I tried to stop her.

She was shocked. I went near her to apologise. But she moved faster and joined the others.

" Hey what happened to your shirt? " Mihir asked immediately with concern, I went towards them as well.

" I was enjoying the ride, and didn't realise but some part of it got stuck somewhere and... "

" You went for the ride alone?? I told you to wait, you know it is not safe, Roshni. " Mihir said.

" I went with her. " I said and he calmed down. Since they all were already sitting there, we sat side by side. I don't know why I was feeling nice with her sitting there. I ordered more food for us.

We all were having some snacks when the rest of our friends joined us. Viren took the chair next to Roshni.

" Hey, you are looking stunning now, thank god that stupid t-shirt is gone. " Sahaj said. Ron and Viren nodded.

" It got stuck somewhere while I was sliding and it got ripped. " She explained.

" Great! We must thank the slides then, at least we got to see the beautiful curves hidden behind that stupid t-shirt. " Viren said.

Idiot!! Just an hour ago, he was giving a lecture to Myra and now was appreciating that Roshni's T-shirt was gone.

Double standards...

" You are really a pretty little thing, sweetheart, I am ready to marry you within a week. " Ron said with a smile and Roshni blushed a bit hearing their comments.

Idiots!!

And why did she blush??

" Shall we go home??" I said.

" Are you out of your mind?? We are enjoying it a lot. " Shaurya said looking at the other girls who had just come to enjoy the water rides, others also smiled and started ogling.

We spent more hours there as everyone was enjoying it so much except me. I was getting restless, my friends and Sahaj were flirting with Roshni.

She was comfortable with everyone now. It was evening and we came back. We all were so tired after spending the whole day there on rides and in water, that we just wanted to eat food and get into our beds.

The food was served we all enjoyed it quietly. Myra was sitting in front of me and was giving me strange looks but I didn't understand what she meant.

Once the dinner was over, everyone retired to their respective rooms and I went to my study to make some overseas calls. My PA had fixed an online meeting with some buyers. So I had to attend that.

It took me almost an hour to wind up the meeting. It was a very successful one, I gave them a detailed idea about our diamonds, their quality, prices etc.

In the end, they were very impressed and wanted to buy many rare pieces of diamonds of many varieties with other precious gemstones. Plus many Indian jewellery pieces. I was happy with the deal I cracked.

When I came out of the study and was about to go upstairs, I saw Roshni and was worried if she was sleepwalking, it was dangerous as the house was full of so many men. So I called her name and she turned.

" Yes, Manik Ji? " She asked.

Oh, she was awake...

" What are you doing here? Why haven't you slept till now?" I asked

" Because, it is only ten, I usually sleep by 11. It seems to be late, but it's not, because we had an early dinner today. " She said.

" Are you not tired? " I asked.

" I am, I came to take water to take medicine as I was having a body ache and some pain in my foot as well. I can't sleep so early, my body clock is set for sleeping and getting up. Please don't worry about me I can take care of myself. " She said.

" Yes, of course, I don't have to worry about you... because now you have many people to take care of you, isn't it ?? Why would you need me? " I asked her and was shocked at what I did.

" What? exactly, what do you mean by that? " She asked.

I should not have said that and I must not answer the question asked by her, but as if, I was not myself, l went near her and said, " I mean that you are behaving differently since everybody has come, why?? I am your guardian, I am supposed to take care of them you, not them. "

" I don't need anyone to take care of me because I don't care what you think, but I am not a child, as you think of me. I can very well take care of myself and handle people around me. So, please, stop being my dad. " She said as if she was thoroughly irritated.

" Oh, yes! I have seen, how you are handling yourself these days." My words were full of sarcasm.

" What are you trying to say? " She asked.
