Roohi was standing there in the corner and looking at the people dancing while she didn't seem to be enjoying it.

" Hey Roohi, you are not dancing? " I asked out of politeness.

" I am not in a mood. " She said looking depressed. I don't know why but her expressions matched mine. What was wrong with her? Was she also jealous or insecure?

I looked at the dance floor, Raj, Shaurya, Ron, Viren, Mihir and vihan were dancing. Who was the reason for her sadness? Of course, it could not be Raj or Ron.

" Are you not well? Shall I call Raj? " I asked her.

" No, I am fine... Really. Don't worry. " She said with a forced smile.

" Hey!! What happened?? Are you alright? " I asked. They nodded.

" Why are both of you looking tense? " I asked.

" Bhai, something wrong is going on there. Please call security! " Mahi said.

" What happened?? "

" A few men were trying to take a girl away with them in a suspicious manner. The girl is unconscious, bhai. " Mahi said.

" Sujal bhaiya is not picking up the phone," Saanjh said.

" Go inform him and the security. Stay there with Mihir. Don't roam around. I will go help her. " I said.

" Bhai you can't go alone. There are three or four men. I will not let you go alone. " Mahi hugged me.

" What the hell!! " One of them shouted at me and came to punch me But I was ready... I bent and punched in his stomach very hard.

One of the other three came towards me but I kicked him. They cursed and the third one pounced at me but I stepped away. His punch landed on the wall and he winced with pain.

The first two came toward me but I was ready to fight back. I had to save that poor girl. I didn't even know who she was or what had happened to her, but I could not let her go with them.

I kicked at both of them and they fell back. The man who was holding the girl tried to escape but I caught his shirt and tried to stop him. He had the girl hanging on his shoulder. I could not even see her face. But that was not important. One of his friends punched me while I was trying to stop him I turned and kicked on his nose this time and his nose started bleeding he panicked and tried to run away.

I left the shirt of the fourth man and held the girl's hand in mine, as her upper body was dangling at his back so that he could not take her away.

The fight was still going on when I heard Shaurya and Ron shouting my name, they were looking for me, and I called them to the staircase. They came running and the very next moment they started beating the men, those men were already hurt and my friends punched and kicked them till three of them were rolling on the floor.

The man who was holding the girl got scared and threw the girl at me in order to get a chance to escape. But Sujal and the security entered from the other side and caught him just in time.

I was holding the unconscious girl her face was buried in my chest. As she was short.

" Are you alright, Manik?? " Ron and Shaurya came running to me and asked. I nodded.

Sujal was giving instructions to the security and was asking them to be more prompt, as there should be no other mishaps.

" What happened to the girl?? " Ron asked.

" I don't know. "

" Who is she? " Shaurya asked.

" I don't know, I had gone to look for Mahi and Saanjh, they had gone to the washrooms but then saw them coming and they looked scared and when I asked, they told me that a few men were trying to take a girl away in a suspicious manner," I said. Sujal had joined us by then.

" Let's take her inside. The men are kept locked till the police come. Thanks, Manik... Along with the girl's life, you saved the reputation of my hotel as well. This hotel is entirely my responsibility now. I don't want mom or dad to feel that I am not good enough to take care of it. " Sujal said.

" You are the best!! Don't worry. Things are under control. " I said.

" Let me help you, you must be hurt after fighting. " Shaurya said.

" No, it's ok!!" I said.

" But you must have been tired, I will take her inside. "Ron said and I nodded as I wanted to go in as the new year was going to start in 5 minutes.

He tried to pull her off my chest but the girl wrapped her arms around my neck.

" Leave me... " She mumbled. Ron tried again but she buried her face in my chest.

I was shocked at that as I felt something weird.

" Thank you... " She said and hugged me even harder. She mumbled as if she was somewhat aware of what was happening but not in her senses.

Oh, God!! Had she taken drugs or was her food or drink spiked?

" It's ok, Ron!! I will take her inside. Try to find her friends and send Roohi or Gaurvi, they can check the girl. " I said.

The girl seemed to have become unconscious again but was still holding me. I picked her up in my arms and walked inside.

Just then I heard the announcement and the countdown began...

Shit!! I was supposed to be with Myra, my girlfriend but here I was walking with a stranger in my arms.

Oh, no!! I didn't even know her, had not even seen her face and was entering the new year with her in my arms...

I made her lie down on the couch in the reception area so that if anyone was looking for her, they could find her.

But I was shocked after looking at the face of the girl.
