We all were having breakfast, Chachi and Maharaj Ji ( head chef) cooked a heavy Gujarati brunch.

" Megha, where is my white dhokla?? Get it fast!! " Chachu called Chachi who was still in the kitchen.

" There are so many things, eat them, why are you asking for what is not here? " Mom scolded chachu. Dad also nodded.

" Maybe she hasn't made it. Have khandvi or Patra" Dad said.

" No, bhabhi! She can't forget to make white dhokla for me. " Uncle said with a smile.

" Here it is... You and your love for your white dhokla. " She gave him a bowl of khatta dhokla and shook her head.

" My love is only for you, Mrs Megha Mehul Shah. " Chachu said and winked at her, we all smiled.

" Chachu and Chachi are the most romantic couple, I have seen. They can't seem to take their eyes off each other. Amazing chemistry between them... " I said.

" Seriously!! Sometimes I wonder, if they are like this now, how was it at the time they got married??" Mihir asked.

" Guess!! " Chachu said and smiled.

" I also want to know... " Mahi said.

" You won't believe it if we tell you.. it was pathetic... We had to force them to stay together. Do you remember, Mudit? " Mom asked.

" How can I forget, how he was forced to get married to Megha?"

" What? Really?? " All three of us asked. While the elders were laughing.

" Those were the days... Mudit and I had to play the role of cupids to get them close. " Mom said and then they told us some very hilarious incidents. We were shocked while chachu looked a bit embarrassed but cute.

" I remember he was so angry with Gautam that he could punch him when he proposed to her. " Chachi said.

" Gautam uncle??" I asked and looked at chachu, he made a face but Chachi nodded with a smile.

" Dad was going to punch ' the angry boxer' Gautam uncle?? Dad, had you lost it? " Mihir asked dramatically and we all laughed.

" I had to... That idiot proposed to your mom... If he was not my friend, I would have... " Chachu showed the qualities which made him a member of the ill-famous OPH club.

" It was your fault, not his, you should have told everyone... " Mom defended uncle.

" C'mon yaar, you can't defend him. He was wrong, I would have beaten him... " Chachu glared at Chachi but she was too cool.

"...If he was not stronger than you..." Dad said and Chachi and mom laughed.

" What ?? He proposed to my mom?? I will have to take a revenge. " Mihir said dramatically.

" Yes, he proposed to your mom, in front of your dad, you proposed to his daughter in front of him. " I said and everyone burst out laughing.

" Good way of taking revenge!! " Dad said and we all nodded.

" He would punch you, can't you see he is a very protective father and have you forgotten about Siddh? Both of them would break your jaw. " Chachi said to Mihir.

Everyone knew about Mihir's love interest.

" Don't worry, Mihir, I am with you. I will take the punches for you. " I said.

" Don't you dare, he had taken an arm's license and a gun when his daughters were born? He would shoot you. " Chachu said.

" Chachu don't scare him... He would have to face him someday or the other. Poor boy, But why did you have to fall in love with his daughter?? Did you not remember that her dad was Gautam uncle?? " I said dramatically and everyone

laughed.

We all were enjoying breakfast when the doorbell rang. One of the servants went to open the door and came back to inform us that the solicitor had come to meet dad and uncle.

He was asked to join us for the breakfast and he did.

After breakfast, uncle asked him the purpose of his arrival.

" Mr Mudit Shah and Mr Mehul Shah, I am here to tell you that your father had made a will and it is to be read today and we want all of you to be present there. He requested the presence of everyone while the will is being read. " He said. Dad and chachu nodded.

As requested we all were present while the will was to be read.

The lawyers opened the will and it was testified that he made the will in his right frame of mind. He was absolutely hale and hearty when he got it made.

I don't know why, but I was getting tense all of a sudden. We all have always been very close and the matters of the property had never bothered us. But the condition that everyone had to be present was making everyone nervous.

Only dad and uncle could have attended it. Why everyone was supposed to be there??

The lawyer started reading the will...

The overseas business was to be taken care of by my dad as he was already doing it forever.

Chachu and Chachi were supposed to stay in New Delhi and take care of the business there as usual.

He started telling the assets each member of the family would get.

First of all, he announced what would my dad and chachu get.

200 million in their accounts for each one of them. Some rare diamonds and gems were also distributed to them.

Mom and Chachi were also gifted with properties and rare traditional Jewellery which have been in our family for ages.

They were satisfied with their shares. But I was shocked. I didn't even know about a few properties and things that we owned.

Then the lawyer declared Mahi's share. She was given a lot of ancestral jewellery, cars, property and a bank balance of 50 million.

She was shocked to hear that. But all of us were very happy, of course, she had a right on the property.

After that, he declared what Mihir would be getting. He would get some of the properties and two amazing cars and a bank balance of 50 million under some conditions.

Conditions?? What does that mean?

He was given a paper with the conditions.

We all were looking at him as he was reading it with a shocked expression.

" Say something?? What is it?" Chachu asked.

I was sitting close to him so I took the paper and read it.

Mihir would have to join the business with chachu by the time he reached twenty-four and get married by the time he was twenty-six.

He would have to learn and be able to do all the things which chachu was doing, to get benefitted by the will.

Oh, God!! I looked at his face. He was shocked...

He was twenty-four already... This means he has to join the business immediately.

Was he ready for it??

Then the lawyer looked at me and my heartbeat increased manifolds.

" Mr Manik Shah, you would be the next official heir of the entire Shah Empire." He said.

"You would inherit two cars, a helicopter, this haveli, two more properties and a bank balance of about 100 million, of course, on a few conditions."

Conditions??

He gave me a list of conditions.

* I would have to join the business with immediate effect.

I would have to take care of our diamond mines and the business here in Surat as the diamonds were mined, cut, cleaned, polished, designed and set here as we had one of the best craftsmen for that.

*On top of that, I had to learn everything that was to be learnt about diamonds. From mining to polishing and then how they are set in the designs and sold in the showrooms.

But I would have to shift here?? What about my life??

* I would have to marry within one year.

What??? No!!

I had just started to date her we were not even that serious till now.

But what blew my mind was the last condition...

Oh god!!! No!!

No!! the last condition was not acceptable to me.

I can't do that.
