《The Wedding In Miami》One giant splash

Zoey and Landon were really hitting it off, good for them. I, on the other hand, was sitting here quietly. I'm not gonna interrupt Zoey and Landon's conversation, I'm not gonna talk to Nick who for some reason chose to sit beside me, and I can't talk to Liam because Nick is sitting beside me. It doesn't leave me with much to do, except watch the show.

I cleared my throat, "Can I ask, did someone choose these seats for us?" I asked nobody in particular.

"I don't think so, we're all kind of scattered all over this place, why?" Liam leaned forward, answering my question.

"Frankly, we're sitting in the second row from the Orca so we're probably the ones who will get soaked at the end," I shrugged.

"Is that a problem?" he asked.

"Unless everyone here is okay with spending the rest of the day in wet clothes, I don't think so," I replied.

"We could just get out of here before the end," Liam shrugged. He's flirting. A lot.

"I don't think you have time," Nick smirked.

I looked at him in confusion before looking at the front.

Nevermind. Maybe they don't wait till the end for that one giant splash.

Screams, shrieks, and cheers echoed throughout the arena. Zoey screamed beside me while I just tried my hardest to cover my face but clearly I wasn't able to. Hence I am soaked. Head to toe.

I panted as the cold water dripped down my spine, giving me chills. "You have got to be fucking kidding me," I mumbled.

"Welcome to Miami Seaquarium!" the host spoke into their microphone before flipping into the water.

This is the welcome. Let's see what the ending is like.

Throughout the show, everyone cheered, filmed, talked, laughed, clapped and we were finally reaching the end.

"All right, maybe we could-" I began but nope. Too little too late. Another giant splash. "Never fucking mind," I sighed running my hand through my hair.

"Now you get why I suggested we all left our phones in the car?" Nick asked while running his hand through his hair, pushing the wet locks back.

"You never said that!" Liam groaned.

"I told Emma, and Landon, who told Zoey. Huh, I guess you didn't get the memo," he said while people around us began standing up and heading to the exit.

"Was that necessary? You couldn't have just told him to leave his phone too?" I asked while he walked behind me, getting out of the aisle as we headed to the exit.

"He'll live," he mumbled as we exited the arena and stepped back out.

Some other people were soaked but for the most part, everyone was dry. "We're heading out to lunch at SALT Waterfront, we'll meet you all there," Madeline grabbed my arm and told me.

"Wait, we can't go and change at the hotel?" I gaped at her.

"Grab a towel, we don't have time to stop by," she shrugged while William pulled her into their car.

This is Miami.

I put my hair up in a bun at the top of my head and grabbed my shirt, peeling it off and pulling it over my head, twisting it, getting rid of the water it had absorbed.

"What are you doing?" Nick stood in front of me, blocking me from anyone.

"Well, I don't plan to be completely soaked all day. And this is Miami, Nick. Nobody cares," I shrugged while shaking out my shirt, and tucking it into my waistband, keeping it handy to throw on once it dries.

"So you're just gonna walk around in your bra?" he asked while checking me out.

"I'll answer that once you stop checking me out," I sighed. His eyes snapped to mine with a hint of embarrassment. "Bralette. And yeah, that's exactly what I'm gonna do. Are you gonna walk around in that?" I asked while glancing at his white t-shirt that was very much see-through, and very much soaked.

"I guess not," he shrugged, pulling it off and squeezing the water out.

"SALT Waterfront, can we go?" I turned to the others.

Zoey was in a bandana tube top so she managed to get it dry pretty fast, Landon was shirtless and so was Liam. "Can I drive?" Landon asked. Liam tossed him the keys and Zoey called shotgun.

I'm sitting in a car between two very shirtless guys. Very attractive too. One a little more but we don't like to name names here. Luckily, the ride was two minutes. Literally. So we got there and stepped out as quickly as possible.

We walked into the restaurant and as expected, we had a few tables joined to have enough seats for everybody. We headed over and Madeline and my parents looked at me in confusion.

"It was either this or a dripping wet shirt, get over it," I rolled my eyes as we sat down.

"You couldn't dry yourself off?" my mom asked in confusion.

"We didn't have the time to, if we stopped to do that this lunch would be halfway through," Nick answered while sitting beside me, handing me a plate.

"Thanks," I said, slightly surprised that he was interacting with my mom.

"Nick," she nodded at him stiffly.

"Mrs. Roberts," he nodded. They used to be on a first-name basis, then he fucked up.

She looked at me. Then at Nick. Then back at me. "That's Lisa to you," she said to him.

His smile widened and he nodded while I looked at her wide-eyed.

'What?' I mouthed.

She shrugged before checking him out and giving me an impressed look. While he was busy talking to William, she pointed between us then nodded impressively.

"Are you insane?" I blurted out. I was sitting between Nick and Zoey and they both turned to me in confusion. "Not you, or you," I looked at both of them, blushing in embarrassment.

My mom rolled her eyes at me before resuming a conversation with Nick's mom, leaving me to myself.

We don't look good together.

We will never be together. Ever again. I huffed while eating my food, zoning out on it.

What if we did get back together?

I am well aware that it won't happen, it's not like either of us wants it to happen anyway, but what if we did? What would happen? I guess we'll never know.

I excused myself to the bathroom because I needed a second to clear my head. I went inside and stared at myself, letting out a sigh. "Why don't I hate you, Nick?" I asked myself while running my hands under the water. I dried hands off and pulled my shirt over my head since it was dry enough and stepped out, only to be pushed back in. "Whoa, what the hell are you doing?" I looked up at Nick.

"I need to ask you something," he sighed.

"In the women's bathroom?" I looked at him wide-eyed.

"Yes, because I can't seem to get a minute alone with you without Liam interrupting," he resisted a groan.

"Nick, please listen to yourself. Someone could be in here, we'll talk later," I huffed, trying to get out but he cornered me against the wall.

"Do you like him? Liam. Do you like him?" he asked bluntly.

"Why are you asking me this?" I let out a sigh of defeat.

"Because I want to know. And I have every right to," he scoffed.

"You really don't."

He huffed, "Do you like him, Emma? Does he make you feel like I do?" he questioned.

"You did. Like you did," I corrected.

"Does he make you laugh? Do you have fun with him? Just answer me with a yes or no," he sighed.

"Why are you asking me this?" I groaned.

"So I can make a decision about something, can you just answer?" he groaned while taking another step closer.

"What decision do you possibly have to make in relation to this?" I questioned.

"I-" he opened his mouth to answer but the door swung open. He grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the stall, locking it.

"Everyone's having so much fun out there, this is a great holiday," someone spoke.

"Is that your grandma?" I whispered.

"Wait for the wedding, Helene," someone laughed.

"That's Zoey's grandma," I bit back a laugh, "You were saying?" I asked softly. I was about to die trying to hold in this laughter.

He gave me a pointed look before clamping his hand over my mouth.

How romantic.

Then again, nothing between us has to be. After a few moments, the door opened, then closed and we were greeted by silence. I was staring up at him while he was looking down at me.

"What?" he asked while pulling his hand away.

I wonder what would happen if I kissed him.

I could always find out...

"Nothing. You pulled me in here. What decision do you have to make that depends on whether I like Liam or not?" I huffed while pulling the door open and walking out of the stall.

"Nothing. Just forget about it."

And then he just walked out.

What the hell?
